Wheat was never part of diet until recently for people south of Vindhyas, wheat, barley doesent grow in these placesso Maratis fall into this. Lots of them would have this, unless like some of them have migrated from the north.

@@glutenfree-guiltfree Please tell me anything which is not debatable. They want to sell maintenance drugs to you with no cure. so they will do what ever they can. Moreover, one needs extraordinary level of education and expertise in Math, Status tics and Biological Sciences with loads of common sense to understand those peer reviewed litterateurs and make any sense and arrive at conclusive decisions (mostly it is inconclusive). One has to look into who funded /proposed/conducted those research and analyze their conflict of interest. Having a combination of all the above in one person with resources and time is a statistical outliner or have resources in terms of money and ability to do it. Earlier, children were surrounded with multi generational family and they use to observe the babies/infacts/children. Many of my cousins, brothers were identified with various sensitivities by the older generations (5 generations lived together). which was vindicated after 30 to 50 years later. They use to avoid making those foods at home saying do sent suit this person or the other. Even the grocery shore guy would know these things, when we kids went to buy groceries, They would not sell those items to us (probably the list was made by a new family member) . Some of the allergies sensitivities identified is really mind boggling in variety and intensity. Anyhow wheat was never grown nor consumed by the natives of Maharastra and Historical Lata region as far as I know. it was brought by waves of tribes migrating/invading from the north and north west. All my great grand parents did not eat wheat, they all were hale and healthy well nearing or crossing 100 with super excellent memory and cognitive functions. I remember several of them would walk 30 miles visiting us ( they were retired high ranking civil servants). Around the 1960s, several generations of my grand parents passed away quickly in a short span of time. One of my grand father was a pre-eminent medico and managed the family planning and welfare of a state of 60 million very successfully(The Social Indicators are comparable to very developed countries) , he attributed this to the introduction of wheat in the diet. Pretha Sharera is the one of the external visible condition of eating food which doesent suit somebody. Literally meaning body the body of the living person looks swollen like a dead body. One should view lots of pre - 80s film videos of Deccan and South India. The structure and physique of people looked very different. I am just sharing some things I know.
