ABOUT KIM'S CONVENIENCE:
"Kim's Convenience" depicts a Korean Canadian Kim family that runs a convenience store in the Moss Park neighbourhood of Toronto: parents "Appa" (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) and "Umma" (Jean Yoon) - Korean for dad and mom, respectively - along with their daughter Janet (Andrea Bang) and estranged son Jung (Simu Liu). Other characters include Jung's friend and coworker Kimchee (Andrew Phung) and his manager Shannon (Nicole Power). The series is based on Ins Choi's 2011 play of the same name. Mr. and Mrs. Kim have worked hard to give their now-twenty-something children, Janet and Jung, a better life in Canada. This comedy finds laughter in the trials of running a literal 'Mom and Pop' shop while raising kids in a culture not quite your own.

What happened at the end that they got blindsided? They were underpaid? The show should be a hit around the world. It is the funniest sitcom I have ever watched.
@@kberken the creators just decided to not to create another season even though the CBC allowed another season. And apparently there was racism in the writer’s room and it lacked diversity. And the fact that Shannon (Nicole) the only non Asian main cast member had a show of her own called Strays

@@kberken Definitely season 1. The show lost a little as it went on, but it ended what felt kind of abrutly.

@@MaxiMeow555 Yes yes! Rewatching shows that you really love is never boring. Well, ok, there may be a limit with a certain amount of time, different for everybody. BUT: If you love it, ONE rewatch will not get boring. You'll be surprised by how much you don't remember, how much you actually missed, and little things you just cannot pick up on with only one time through.

@@dudeplayzofficial Yes. At least one "again," but me too -- if I love a show I can rewatch it several times right away. Then I might have to what a while to watch again. But, no question, that first rewatch will surprise people with how much they missed the first time. People are afraid they will be bored, I think, with rewatching. When it's a great show that you love, rewatching it only makes it stronger, richer.

Discovered this show last April on Netflix when the world shut down. Now a year later I can damn near recite the lines, because I have watched it so many times. Extremely sad there wont be a 6th season. Shedding an Appa tear now... THNX
I still cannot believe this show has ended, it tskes me a long time to get into a show and I have never felt a show so Heart warming and Family orientated as this show. Such a Great Loss, i literally am in tears this is the end. 💔😪😢😭

I was browsing thru netflix for a show to watch to pass some time. So I just randomly picked this sitcom to watch, thinking it will be just for half an hour of laughter and there after, go about doing my stuff. Lo and behold, 15 minutes into the show and I am totally hooked on. What a great show that infuses fun, wit and tears into a family story surrounded by wacky friends. I spent the following nights watching the entire 5 seasons till the last episode on last week. It's such a shame that this fantastic show has to end so suddenly and so unceremoniously. I really wish the producers will discard their differences and continue with the production for subsequent seasons. We need such a show to continue telling stories that not give us not only laughter and tears and entertainment, but more importantly make us so relatable to the characters and the plots. Thats the magic of Kim's Convenience !

What a great show. It’s a mystery that I stumbled onto it.
I like the fact that it was something the whole family could watch.
Good clean and funny. Yes there were touchy subjects but they handled them with class.
Big ups to the all writers and the talented cast that brought their vision to life.

Ending this grest show is totally unacceptable. Who can I write a complaint to? I am not scared to unleash the Karen in me. Not many shows out there that makes me feel I belong and that I can relate to and for them to cancel it just like that...nope! Just unacceptable. Season five has so many new stories like Umma's Shannon's and Kimchi's (not spoiling anything) why? WHY????
