bro, it is very important that one evaluate commercially before investing in solar. there is no proper incentive currently in TN for installation of solar and one has to be very careful not carried by solar installers who may misguide the net metering system, This video is very clear. the TNEB treats the consumption separately and charges per the slab. then looks at export separately, ie the generation from the solar panels , and credit 2.08 per unit. your import or consumption may be charged Rs 8 plus while what you sell to TNEB wil be only credited Rs.2.08. Only when TN reverts to net metering in true sense of total consumption units - total solar generation units will be a real incentive and not otherwise.

Please help whether you have a system like AC coupling converter for Ongrid to Offgrid.TNEB started network charge= Rs.1.25 per unit produced =Rs.2.08 - Rs1.25 = Rs.0.83-Nopoint in investing in ongrid and TNEB export.Lookslike a scam also

Good explanation but i have some questions. I read the solar policy it says 25/03/209 net metering will be charged for the excess utilised. so i have the following questions. Example : Gross utilised current is 1000 units solar generated 800 so excess is 200. Will i be charged for excess 200 or will the bill be for 1000 units as per tariff and 800 units at 2.08 ??
