Spoilers Up Until Egghead!
Donquixote Doflamingo is a mysterious and terrifying villain, definitely one of the best in One Piece. Today I'll talk about his life and make a theory on where he could go from here. Whether that's with the cross guild with Mihawk and Crocodile, or somewhere else. Will his story with Law continue? Will we see more from his days as one of the 7 warlords? Who knows, hope you enjoy

Realistically, they probably have orders to give Doflamingo whatever he wants except his freedom. He knows secrets that could bring down the World Government, and he has no reason not to blab.

Honestly, my first impression of Doffy was just that hes trying to be like a Celestial Dragon 2.0 because he couldnt join up with the real ones anymore which made him seem ass but the fact that his main goal is just destroy everything the world nobles control to fuck with them is like... so incredibly based.

Doffy wants to destroy the world the celestial dragons rule over, of course he would be happy that Luffy is doing the same
it is interesting to think that, unlike other villains who had their dreams shattered after Luffy defeated them, Doffy essentially got to see Luffy accomplish his dream in a way
really makes us feel like he has to make a return in some way later during this final saga
Did Doffy want to destroy their world or did he want to conquer it? I think he is happy to see the people he hates suffer, but nothing about Doflamingo implies he wants the world to fundamentally change. He doesn't seek freedom, he seeks control on his terms.

Instead of Doffy teaming up with cross guild I could see him declining crocodile to support the Blackbeard Pirates, as they're probably more ideologically aligned with him than any of the top 3 CG members.
Dof the goat. Absolute menace. Mastered his DF fruit. I honestly feel like if he trained more he’d be way stronger.
He reminds me of frieza. Child protege that’s powerful off rip. He just needs to train, become a better fighter, hand to hand combat type ish.
Thank you for making a point about Doffy actually caring about his crew. A lot of people say that he is simply manipulating them, but he is one of the few villains who showed concern for his crew, went out of his way to save them (Baby 5 & Buffao, Giolla), and forgave mistakes if the crew members were following his orders. Sure, he would always be ready to ask them to die for him, but he does care for them in his own way.
As for the ending for Doffy, I would actually LOVE to see him join a battle / destruction of Mary Geoise, using his knowledge of its secret... and in the end leave it together with his crew, maybe robbing the place clean in the process. For Doffy to realize that he doesn't really care for the Celestial Dragons or his own birthright anymore, choosing his pirate life over the life he had lost. And, you could even say, his found family over blood family. ;) I know it's not how it would most likely happen, but it's a nice thought for me.
But yeah, I think the Cross Guild scenario is the most likely one.
I can't remember where I heard it, but somewhere, someone said that Doffy is also motivated by fear. That time the mob captured & tortured him instilled a fear of the world in addition to a hatred of the masses. It's why he built his underground empire: to control that raging mass so it cannot turn against him. He may have stated his goal is destroying the world, but very little of what he did actually seems geared toward that end. If anything, Doflamingo kept the fighting and unrest manageable. Kaido, who's goal is to create a world ruled by the strongest rather than laws, could perhaps be considered his endgame, but I don't see Doflamingo rushing toward this end.
What do you think? Should Doflamingo's fear of losing control be considered a core part of his character? If so, Luffy may have done him a kindness. By ending his underground empire and unleashing the chaos he kept at bay, Doflamingo can finally see the end of the Celestial Dragons' world. It's probably why Doflamingo continues to laugh, even while chained in Impel Down.
Ironic that he would make even Doflamingo of all people to laugh and be merry, in a twisted sort of way.
I think even if Luffy was doing exactly what he wanted, Doffy probably wouldn't be able to help himself if given a chance to get revenge on Luffy and his crew.
I think it makes sense. He's still afraid for his life. His family, he keeps for bodies between him and the plebs. He also loves his family only because they are sycophants. I think everyone in his family knows that but the orphans. This is all more consistent with Doffy than what this video is suggesting.
Doffy's definitely Emperor Commander-level. Awakened Devil Fruit, Conqueror's Haki... I mean, if Crocodile's a billion-Berry guy these days, no reason Doflamingo isn't. Also, if he ever figures out Conqueror's Coating, he's basically an Emperor-in-waiting by that point!

My theory is that hes already escaped or is already in the process of escaping. We havent seen him since the abolishment of the warlord system was announced, and youd think that having him react to Law and Luffy taking out Kaido plus their new bounties plus Luffy being an emperor, PLUS the announcement of Cross Guild would be the perfect time for him to react and have one of his fun little speeches. But we've seen absolutely nothing. There's gotta be a reason for that and I reckon its because Oda cant show what hes up to right now because its a spoiler.
8:12 idk haki infused strings is PRETTY DARN USEFUL against someone who isn’t that fast (doffy could also probably use conquerors haki pretty well there’s also that)
if Pika is in impel down they can just free him and he will wreak havoc assuming impel down is made from stone. And I think Cross Guild would be more fitting for Doffy but that might be too obvious so the revolutionary army seems interesting

Something I just realized, though: Luffy's breakout literally couldn't have happened without Mr. 3 making wax keys. I mean, Doflamingo could potentially jerryrig any cuffs he needed to, but that's all dependent on Doffy himself getting uncuffed.
Nah, can't be. He has too much bad blood with Crocodile and as the main officer Doffy would never be willing to be under him or even be his equal IMO...but I *guess* we will see.

Power creep isn't real in a story. Whoever wins is who the writer wanted to win. People play too many damn video games and try to apply that logic and those limitations on other narrative media. It just doesn't make sense when they do it.

I feel like every conquerors haki user will eventually get advamced conquerors, like Kid, Doffy, Boa and Katakuri, cuz otherwise its pretty useless.
That way they'll be factors in the final war and not just bums😂
Well well well, finally a video on Our drip god Doflamingo. All theories makes sense and I think cross guild is the correct one.
Hear me out: he is a celestial dragon at the end of the day so if he proves he can’t be assassinated the WG would be more likely to invite him back in or at least promise to in exchange for fighting with them again. He could go back to manipulating his way into overthrowing Imu from within selfishly, rather than as an ally to the revolutionaries.
IMO Moria is more likely the fourth cross guild member.
I feel like weevil is going to activate the intel down breakout part 2. Another wild theory that I have is that bullet might even be the one that breaks out.
Donquixote Homing had the naive personality of Luffy, but sadly he didn't had the strenght to defend himself or others when the world was cruel unlike Luffy

I agree with most of the points in this video, except for maybe one, I don't think Doffy cares for his family. I think what he cares about is what they can give him, he's a manipulator, it's a big part of his character, It's shown literally through his devil fruit and role in the story. I believe that he only keeps his 'family' around because they are useful, which purposefully juxtaposes himself with Luffy, who dosent care about that at all, I mean he invited Sanji on as cook before trying his food, and didn't know Chopper was a doctor until afterwords. Doffy fosters codependency in his family, especially with Baby 5 and Law. For these reasons I think that he would have no qualms with leaving his crew in prison, if Marco asked him if he wanted to rescue his crew, I can definitely see him smiling and saying no, for the simple fact that they have lost their usefulness. He literally raised Law for 3 years to die for him. Great video, really made me think about Doffy

The One major character trait we saw from Doflamingo, throughout his whole appearance and even in flashbacks, is that he does care for his family.
Even in scenes where he was alone and had no one to fake it to he was distraught at seeing them getting hurt.
He stands out as a character and villain because of that.
Yeah, he is a liar and a manipulator but his family is his family.
I think he does care. Now, he only cares about them because they feed his ego, but not just because they’re useful.
I actually think this is entirely debatable. Law outright tells Trebol that Doffy is using them and Trebol gets REALLY angry about that. I always read that as Trebol being insecure in their relationship, and from what I recall, Doffy isn't pissed about the accusation at all. Pretty sure Doffy was right there on the rooftop when Law said it. Plus, Doffy knows how to play his family really well. That's shown best through his relationship with Diamante.
Whether Mingo truly cares about his family or not, we'll get to know later depending on if he bothers setting the executives free from impel down when there's a chance
He didn't plan for Law to get the Ope Ope No Mi, he wanted to make him his right hand man in 10 years, there's nothing that says that he wanted Law to get the Ope Ope No Mi, Corazon is the one who got and fed it to him, even him saying to Corazon to eat it was part of exposing that he's a spy we simply don't know who was originally planned to have it, it's just not Law
I just imagine a close fight between Law and Doffy ending with a standoff where Law shoots first 😮💨

Underrated take on Doffys dad.
A possible outcome could be the government hire doflamingo in exchange for the freedom of his family, to set up dragon by faking a meetup to expose secrets, and kill dragon.
And yeah Doffy has spent over 1 month close to two actually I estimated 54 days so yeah I don’t think his power level is going to be the same

Haven't finished the video yet but I have a correction, I'm pretty sure he has alot of regret about killing his brother, before that he's looking at the gun with a frown looking like he doesn't want to use it, then his outburst at Rosinante about why he has to kill another member of his blood family, and next time we see him after that he's stopped wearing suits and is wearing a very casual mismatched outfit, he grins and smiles and laughs more which can be seen as a nervous/manic mental state, he certainly hated having to do it but if Corazon managed to deliver the information Doflamingo and the whole family would end up killed either by the underworld criminals because a member of his family exposed them or arrested then killed by the World Government or even immediately killed, without his power the Celestial Dragons will be able to kill him due to his knowledge.
I've always wanted him to get assassinated by his own Seraphim, but every chapter that goes by is another nail in that coffin. It feels like there's no place in this story for him alive. I can't see him in Cross Guild tbh, his character is defined by being a control freak.
Him being a celestial dragon and knowing their secrets can move the plot along. After all the story is moving toward the CDs so it would be a good opportunity to bring him back

he could join cross guild, break out with his crew and either do something on egghead or with morgans to get information about the secret to the rest of the world, he could strike a deal with luffy or someone similar like dragon to fight on their side for the final war but it would be cool if doffy either gets a moment to deny reentry into the celestial dragons when imu or someone offers at the end, or he takes the chance and then turns on the straw hats again, or my favorite.... he steals the "secret" and uses it to take control of imu's power and take over the world

doffy got humbled so hard, instead of being a evil diabolical genius, i wanna think hes taking a more cautious route and starts working directly under the gorosei. he knows what’ll break the power scales but hes also not tryna get fucked up again while experiencing/learnin his way to life. that said i thought he would be in Wano but workin as eyes for the marys company under cp0s watch. i bet u he got first row seats when kaido and luffy clashed conq haki that cracked the heaven and made him pass out while sayin he had to warn sumn lol

It's been shown or at least "theorized" that doffy was wearing an X bracelet (chapter 504) just like Mihawk (chapter 592) so maybe... just..maybe a possible connection to cross guild or a connection for mihawk being a "supposed-to-be-a-celestial-dragon-but-isn't" just like how it could be for Shanks too since he might be related to Figarland and Mihawk is his rival or something. but going back to Doflamingo, I think he will join cross guild but first he has to first go through some type of journey to escape prison. It's also been told that Doflamingo ruling dressrosa was parallel to Crocodile ruling alabasta and crocodile is already in the cross guild... and maybe even more stupidly enough maybe all warlords will join cross guild, eventually making Buggy, the king...yes...buggy...the king. and then hell's gates will open where the great war will occur, and buggy wins because he is the pirate king who never found the one piece and luffy become king of the world after he liberates everyone and throws a banquest/party all over the world. end of one piece. I can understand doffy. From his pov the world casted him down and the only people he can trust are his family. A family of broken people. I would gladly doom a whole country of what i saw as inferior beings that my bloodline used to rule. Help my family comes first

He comes from 1 of the 20 royal families who founded the WG. His family left Dressrosa and went to Marie Jois. Then he went back to Dressrosa and took it by force

Don't like the idea of him having final battle with Law, c'mon they put too many Corazon references back in Dressrosa, so repeating all over again will be lame af, even Law himself kinda forgot about Mingo after Dressrosa which indicates that he left it behind to seek Doflamingo and kill him, he could do it back in Dressrosa. I think the perfect ending for him is to take a part in actual fight against WG and die in proccess making some final strategic move, i think it would be quite kinda poetic that entire world in the face of World Goverment will die along with all its products like Doflamingo himself.
Finally someone that understands doffys dad was still not a good dude he really just was a rich man that had the PRIVILEGE to become less than a CD and still lived like a rich man. If he truly was a good person he would throw away everything and fight against the CD or help feeling people from the grasp of the CD. There's no good CD as of now imo (except for Corazon)
Literally when Corazon says his parents were kind and Doffy wasn't I think that's because he's had his own mentality twisted by the marines and he was too young to realise and remember what really happened. Doffy was the one that protected him and fed him and their mum, not Homing. And Homing never taught Doffy to not act like a spoiled brat, he clearly encouraged it until they left and then he just made some off handed comments about changing the entire mentality of his 10 year old son. Homing is the one to blame for the way Doffy turned out
It is my opinion that if someone is a unknowing and they make to move to neutral that should inherently make them a good person 😂 they were unknowing in their wrong doing we should not be expected of them to become a hero or change a situation because if everyone did what he did that is a celestial dragon the One piece world wouldn't have as many issues as it has is 1 billion goes to the right community and gives up his wealth until he only can make 100k-200k a year it would change that entire community and that cnage woukd affect other places ❤
