For all of those who are angry I didn't name this player please consider a few things.
1) We have no idea of their age or vulnerability.
2) As I highlighted they may very well be unaware this mod in illegal, why else would they upload a replay file hoping to be featured on my channel?
3) Naming, shaming and even banning this single player isn't going to help the overall problem of cheating in WoT.
This video is to spread awareness around the issue while emphasise facts: cheating using aimbots is real in WoT, you risk getting banned for using such assistance and hopefully WG take note to become clearer with their policies.
+QuickyBaby I think its sad someone doesn't know what is illegal in WOT and what isn't. I never have used mods since I have played WOT and that's my personal preference. I think WG can and should do more to educate players in what is acceptable and what isn't. Also great stream tonight :)

Why are people getting mad, Quickybaby has given many good reasons why he did what he did and the video is about how cheating is bad, not about the player.

Nopes. Usually old adult men and women are the First victims of becoming a cheater for obviousss reasonsss. 1. They dont Have the time to invest into games to get better.
2. Most cheats or hacks that are really well made do Cost a Fortune to aquire. And iam pretty sure that u and i didnt Have alot of cash back in our youth unless youre rich or were a rich kid. There was a guy in my old clan that used aimbot, his reason was because he was sick of people calling him all kind of things because he had 47% wr...such a toxic community.
Solution for this? Ban mods..all of them. Also if you ban xvm you will cut a lot of the toxicity.

QB, this might be a surprise to you, but very advanced aimbots out there. they can not only lead targets, but choose weak spots and even shoot for you when there is a high enough (~90%) chance to pen. While it will not turn "red" player into "purple", it is still giving an advantage. IMHO, those players should permanently banned. And to write a code that identify those aimbots is simple enough (I'm a SW dev). Hearing how much money WG makes (with my humble donations), it is really pissing me that it wasn't done yet.

lol autoaim cannot guarantee ammo rack. Critical damage has a percentage of occurrence.

So its either a patch from WG that fuck it up.. If not it must be all these shitty cheaters driving around and snapshot from 500 meters and still hit ammorack ..

I hate it when players criticize my record. It's a little over 43% after 10000 battles, and I'm sick and tired of nerds constantly chatting me up about my "abysmal" record. It is spoiling my game every time that it happens. I mean...I'm 58 years old and I'm sure that my reactions are not as fast, or my eyesight is not as good, as the average teenager out there. nah, ur not useless, wot blitz is total trash game, play at PC or at XBox or playstation, Blitz is too complicated because u have lots of commands on a little screen, too hard to do these commands while ur trying to see something, buy a pc for u and ull see the difference
anyways, ur not going to be a total noob on pc, because u have 10k games on blitz, and on pc u have the keyboard, much more easy to repair a track or choose the shell type for example, i hope u enjoy the gamestyle

It would be really nice if war gaming had an accepted list of mods and mod creators, and would host the links to these approved mods/modders.
Bring the good guys into the fold and it's beneficial to all. Considering the cash WG make they could pay them a smidge too.

I.E. Automatic use of Manual Fire Extinguisher-Modified Tracer Display (case-by-case basis)-Free camera-Laser Reticle (red line starting from the gun barrel)-Mini Map modifications that passively provide information to the individual player without the use of active teamwork.I had a list saved somewhere that had the actual mod names that were getting people banned, but since they were not mods I used I lost track of it. +Dicky Mint It would be a great idea but if you have a list of said people, those that create their own because they find it as a hobby or just want to personalize their gameplay would be at a high risk. Not only that but it would likely take a long period of time for them to decide if a mod or modpack is satisfactory. Thats why WG(at least NA) has a list of things that blanket what isn't allowed.

Six years on from this video, and a couple of things stand out for me:
1) WG eventually did ban modifications. Not that it mattered, but they did.
2) Hackers are still EVERYWHERE in the game. These days, they're "seal-clubbing" meaning they're tearing up low-level players.
I've left and come back to this game about four times now....I keep getting overwhelmingly disgusted and uninstall, then soften up after 2-3 years and come back. The next time I uninstall, that's it. I will never come back to this nuclear-level dumpster fire of a game, ever again.

+Petar P No they haven't but they are very vague about it. Their policy is "use your own judgement" which is a terrible policy. They have banned people for using aim bots before but you have to be persistent to get them to react. They are simply lazy and think that if they don't care the problem goes away. Only when they get the spotlight on them they react which is really bad.

+Juggernaut there is no way for Wargaming EU to do anything about it. There is neither anti-cheat software in place nor will or do they care for most reports. They cant do anything about it and especially with Wargamings Stance probably never will.

His focus is on the prize. The hardest medal to get in the game. No one will know how he got it, except clan members maybe, so he can brag what a great player he is and get away with it. He's the game equivalent of a "stolen honor" charlatan. Both are liars and cheaters.

Once I was playing with my Tiger and then one KV-1 came out from nowhere with full HP and 122 mm gun. As obvius he started firing me but he reloaded in about two seconds! Well he dealed half of my hitpoints but he died to me, thanks to Tiger's great dpm. So there's too some kind of reloading cheat.

Personally all mods should not be allowed outside the approval of the game designers, meaning, all mods have to be approved and added to the game by devs only.

I'm not a good WoT's player, my win rate sucks. Despite this I've never felt the need to use mods, legitimate or otherwise, because when I do have a good run I feel a real sense of achievement.

I use to used warpacks before. It can show laser lights where shots come from and it can ping where the tank move from even unlit if they hit a tree and you can see another bar to see if they are loading and it has that aiming system aswell. Its all back on 2015
in tier 5 i often see fully automated bots because you hardly loose credits

Not to the extent or seriousness that it becomes a problem. Any player with a bit of intelligence can do everything these mods can do, and do it much better. In fact, these 'cheats' often make the game harder for those that use them because the users don't actually understand what the functions of these 'cheats' are or when to even use them.

One time theirs a player not going too say their name but he's was in a aufen targer ausf e100 and he have the 128mm gun and I'm in the maus the German pride and I got penatrated 4 times and bounce 2 form the same person and I'm like 0_0 is it a glitch and then it was a cheat so there is a faster reloading speed for auto loaders and an extra shot in the mag then I file a complaint and a week later he was banned from any war gaming game lol cuz he have every game they made and he have the same name and password code so obviously got he's done for cheaters I hate them
back in the day when we had server mods this shit wasn't tolerated by any decent server. today cheating and hacking is rampant.
I know that this video is like a year old now. But I wanted to add a comment based on my recent experience. I took over a year off from WoT due to utter frustration with how GAWD AWEFUL I appear to be. It's genuinely not a fun game for me, especially back when I took the break. But I am back now. And although I have done much reading and research, there is no making up for experience in the seat when it comes to getting good at anything. And At least now I can recognize when I made a terrible move and why it was terrible. Not saying that it prevents me from doing it again. But at least I am aware now.
What really really really makes me want to quit again is the seemingly impossible shots that land on me. For instance, traveling at 56 mph across someones field of view (NOT heading towards or away, but across), and getting penned not once but 3 times from multiple tanks from a distances of 500+ yards. Now I realize that some percentage of the time, I am taking hits from really decent players that are leading me. I accept that. But the frequency with witch people land shots like this simply MUST be more than skill. Especially when I STRUGGLE after 12K+ games to land these types of shots. I am getting better, (Marginally SO) at making harder shots. But As awful as I am, after 12K+ games, at least I find making these kinds of shots very hard.
And its not just the hard leading shots. Its also the speed at which I receive return fire. And not just the speed, but the accuracy at which that return fire comes in. I pop up over a ridge line trying my level best to keep everything but the top of my turret and barrel from being exposed. And before I can blink, I have often multiple rounds coming in and not only hitting what little there is exposed, but doing full damage. Often before I can get a shot off, IF i get a shot off at all. Now after you take into account how bad I am, and how good other players are, it simply does not account for the metric shit ton of damage I take in situations that feel flat out unbelievable. This prompted me to ask in chat the other day, how many people do players think use cheats. The answer I got was very very VERY few. Not from 1 or two random people. I asked this in like 9-10 games I played. So at face value, most people think that cheats are not being used. This leads me to one of two conclusions. Either I am EVEN WORSE than I already think I am, or people are oblivious to the fact that these cheats are not only being used, but used with some frequency.
And here is the thing that makes me really want to stop playing this game AGAIN. After 12k+ games, I find it hard to believe that I am lagging THIS FAR behind the curve. Because I have no way of knowing how many people are REALLY using these cheats, I have no real way of knowing how Good or Bad I actually am. I know that I feel as though I have NO possible way to compete either against people using cheats, or otherwise against what appears to be predominately expert players. I believe that cheats are used far more frequently than is generally accepted. But that's just my two cents on it.
I feel similar either my opponents are real experts or I just suck although I've only played in about 100 battles... But I played about 300 battles in War Thunder which is even worse.

Didn't you hear about WarPack being banned, and a well known streamer got banned before/as war gaming made it public that the mods were banned.

Having been around since at least the Closed Beta, there have always been 'illegal mods'. The streamer you're referring to was banned because his damage counter in the bottom left (the one that tells you shell type that damaged you) was telling him what opponent shot him without the opponent ever getting revealed. It was a bit of a cheap ban because, if I remember correctly, they literally released the statement on their forums without any announcement and then banned him an hour later. However, there was notice of it being an illegal mod before the announcement, but, because it wasn't 'officially' stated anywhere, a lot of those guys tried to claim it was all good in the hood. Point being, people will always try to find an unscrupulous way to gain an unfair advantage over others in any environment.
That being said, people haven't been able to cheat this effectively until recently. 'Warpack' didn't really show up and be useful until year 2 of release. Before then, people had illegal skins that showed exactly where to shoot to damage specific modules on all tanks. So, seeing that the new aimbots can do crap like this and cycle through hit locations on tanks, this is a bit out of hand.
As much as I dislike these things, the vast majority of cheating accusations are due to people not understanding the game's actual mechanics very well.
Yitick Maybe NA is different from EU, but these cheats have been around as long as I can remember, and the amount of people who use them is vast.
Ofcource not everyone is using them, and majority of hackusations are just salty people.
Map cheats where you see things knocked over are almost a necessity for competitive CW players, and clans. All of them have it, and don't go out of there way to hide it.
Aim bot's not popular with competitive players because it's more of a draw back then an asset.
It's easy to tell who has aim bot though. The players that crit every shot, and have a hit rate way out of proportion to there other stats. I just tag them with black list, and focus them down when ever I see them.
You have other cheats like lasers, and I think reload timers are banned not to sure. Red poll's, and red balls.
All just basic make the game easy stuff you see in any game.
Beside falling objects none of these cheats really give you a leg up in tier 8, and above. People who use them are 90% of the time seal clubbers.

It would be nice if war gaming would A show a list of accepted mods, maybe even provide downloads for them in game, and B, for them to FIX THE GODDAMN MATCH MAKER. It would be fun if the match maker wasn't so fucked up.
First of all foul language is not needed. 2nd it is FREE overall. Some bad match ups is better than no match ups. I do not like small sided games but these are better than waiting for hours.

I also had struggles with someone that had at least aimbot. I was driving my elc amx, got spotted, was killed by arty within a second. One loaded shell of the arty (tier 7 german arty) later, he also instakilled a heavy tank. It were the first 2 kills of the match.
That is a very illegal aimbot,and applied to arty? Urghhh

The vast majority of even mildly competitive clans are using mods to ping destruction of objects by unspotted tanks, even in clan wars when the game doesn't even tell u how many & what tanks he enemy have! By that I mean if you drive through a wall or over a car, the enemy player with the mod will receive a real time ping on the map telling them an object has just been destroyed here.
I've also seen arty mods that draw X's on the map to show where an enemy arty shell was fired from, basically the origin of all arty tracer even if they didn't see the tracer. Combine that with the object destruction pings (which includes everything, even say knocking down a tree to take cover behind) and you can pull off some spectacular blind shots by just clicking on the X's.
QB, I have to raise my hat off to you for being such good sport about the matter. You're giving the player and a lot of others the benefit of doubt. You are a true hero and angel in World of Tanks community. GG WP, sir.
I stopped playing online games a few months ago cold turkey. Too many cheaters, it's stupid. Sold a very nice gaming laptop and I have new hobbies now.

I remember having that many years ago when I first started modding. It was included in a pack way back in the day. Of course it has since been removed.
A complete ban of all mods is the only way to counter this.
Teams were so bad that even without that cheat, it would have been impossible for any decent player not to get raisenai out of that battle. The cheat doesn't protect him from hits with magical shield, the fact is that the enemies failed way more than he cheated, even though it's not OK to use aim bots.

I have played WoT since 3.01, I have won 12 vs 1 once, I used color blind mod only, while it is rare, I have seen more and more shady dealing lately. Getting hit by a tank while fully behind a building or beyond visual range, never spotted, I was shot from one end of the map ,over 2 hills, I reported them and they were banned,( their name is no longer), issue is that WoT will not tell you the their actions from a cheater. Armor Warfare is looking better all the time.

There models are quite good but anything beyond that and the game has too many issues to be enjoyable in any form.
really dont know what your talking about , played warthunder hundreds of hours, ( never in arcade mode) and ive never really had the feeling enemy is cheating , maybe 1 or 2 times i had a tank battle were i was questioning a players kills although he simply might be good at it .
what you say is bullshit. you cant cheat the way you are saying, simply because you cant hack server side, unless you can access the WG servers.. aimbot, red dots and other stuff are real because they're client side, but not the wallhack or other stuff.. and WG wont tell you if these people were banned so yes, you're telling a lot of lies.. maybe after so many games you simply dont understand game mechanics yet...
I encountered a hacker while playing my pz I c, there was this guy on the enemy team that:
-was not spotted
-had 4 kills
- at least 2 were ammo racked by him
-I was on the lighthouse hill in Cliff, on my own side, there was no clear lines of sight to the enemy side, and suddenly I get 1 shotted by the guy.
-i don't remember his name, but it had the letters C,N,T, and maybe R? They were all in caps. Well if you see him, be sure to report him. Thank you very much if you would ;-)

I think I've seen this on WoWS as well. Ship taking shots at maximum range full broadside salvo and every single shot hits the target like the other ship has no dispersion at that range. Hitting a destroyer that's going flank speed and turning with a full broad side salvo and not a single shell misses it's target at max range.

Good thing is when you cheat in this game and get good stats because of that, your stats will make you main target for many of enemy team players(arty/other competitive players). So you are kind of digging your own grave, your real skill level and your aimbot wont save you from good players... :)

The thing about cheat mods for any game is they are very easy to detect for the most part assuming the game goes to the effort of looking for them.
when i finally started using xvm it felt like cheating, big advantage knowing who is a good or bad player, or knowing where players were last seen, now i feel like i have to use it to be competitive with all the other people using it...yeah as time goes on wot is getting old and growing more toxic like most games do, most of the time i turn chat off, otherwise they upset my zen

honestly my Kv2 has a better aimbot, i just aim at the general dirrection and click, the shell will automatically correct its path to ensure a dead on hit on the weakest part of the enemy team i wanted to obliterate, doesnt matter if they are going 70kmh at 300 metters, the with the hand of stalin every shot is a kill shot.

I cannot tell you the amount of times I get shot without being spotted. I have been killed when I was playing arty with out firing a shot, by the opposing arty. First minute of the game...dead. Sent replay into SEA customer support, as per usual they were terrible and not helpful.

@@terragame5836 hey man i haven't played for 3 years have they increased or stopped the ban cheats etc as some of the packages you get say they are safe but aren't actually safe and you get a warning that is why i left because they wouldn't tell me which one was a problem on my package I couldn't afford another warning as the next one was a ban so i simply left and stopped buying all their tanks and business. What's changed since 3 years ago?

Moreover, I have some experience in mod creation, and so I'm somewhat familiar with wot's decompiled source code - and I have never met any cheat checks in there. Maybe you recieved some warning from one of your mods?
@@terragame5836 i remember those packages of mods like decorate your tank etc making things more colorful maybe the colors also showed weak spots when i looked later but some were in such grey areas i mean if the customer pays for it they either should use whatever mods they want as can anyone else or wot should automatically prevent them from being used ie once you load up in the garage wot does a mod check and if all ok is allowed to leave the garage etc. Sure you may be a tank down and his team will have a handicap to lose by one but at least that way its only fair. If it happens 3 times in one night then he is just banned for a week but not forever thats also bad for wot $ business. I would go back and play as long as WG would only allow the legal viruses automatically like you cant leave garage with no bullets in barrel etc same deal with mods! See why cant they think of that and be as smart as me and stop losing high paying customers like myself who spent thousands stupidly. Yes it was a lose lose for everyone!
@@nihilist4184 You see, it's quite tricky to detect cheats among mods. To be precise, it's impossible to do accurately due to how mods work. First of all, statical analysis won't work, because mods are severely obfuscated (google for PJOrion if you wanna know more). The same obfuscation resists dynamical analysis similar to debugging. This only leaves WG to perform careful inspection of wot's built-in code to see which parts were changed (and maybe alert if crucial parts like autoaim were affected), but this approach has two issues: first, this would have a severe impact on the game's performance, as it would have to constantly recheck for modifications to sensitive areas (if it's only done once, the cheat may create a delayed loader in a safe zone). But second, and the most important, is that it would need to be done by the game itself - and guess what? A mod may simply disable it. Really, python is just such a language, where pretty much anything is possible to achieve and to counteract, which doesn't help... So, the general point is, distinguishing a cheat from a legal mod is an abdolutely nontrivial task, so WG's ignorance of this is entirely understandable

XVM causes more grief then any aimbot ever will. WG gets spammed with countless complaints of bad players being harassed because they are bad and good players whine that they are being "XVM sniped" because of their good stats.
Aimbot is cheating but XVM is cancer to WOT. WG has already discussed the possibility of monitoring what mods can and cannot be used with "keys" being issued to mod developers that have their mods approved. I wouldn't hold your breath though because WG isn't known for "gettin shit done".
I load XVM but just turn off Battle Chat. It's less distracting.

Someone tried it by mistake at the suggestion of a clan mate (who I kicked later of course). It's googled by GOX mods. And, Quickybaby: the one that someone tried, in error, on an alternate account, also AIMED FOR WEAKSPOTS. I saw it used in tier 6 cw on SEA server by, for example, MSFIT clan. Point is that leading AND aiming for weakpsots will make it a serious problem at every tier. COUPLED with arty on a small map it is tantamount to stealing gold. Two points I want to debate with you sorry. 1. Negativity that exposes cheating is not something to be avoided, not all negativity is bad. As far as I'm concerned a blanket ban is preferable to this kind of nefarious behavior. 2. Publicity of honest facts is never a mistake, even when the reception certainly is. I can't blame you at all for making this video. People need to know. EDIT: sorry three points, WG are wrong for being VERY inconsistent between servers and with their language also. The idea that this guy could be using it by mistake, with which I can accept may be true, can be no-one's fault but the game creators.

When World of Tanks was in beta on console it was chalk full of noobs. I regularly had these kind of games in the Marder III on that map because half their team would just drive straight across the field and the rest would sit in bad cover at spawn shooting at my team as they also ran across the field.

It can be proved. Just depends if they spend the time making or implementing something to detect any addons or changes to files in it. Sort of how like Steam has the cloud verification when it comes to their anti-cheat. Scans files to see if the contents are different from the provided ones through Steam. Not hard to do, but can be tedious for a game like this.

Hate to tell you but Steams little cloud bs can be manipulated all the same. Shit most programs feed off of the cloud storage and "make" things or items you can just pick up and have it be saved to your account. Same with WoT' aimbots. they use something that bypasses detection....most the time. But often enough that people like Dave can experience what a pro feels like when they win
