- To celebrate Cuphead coming out for the Switch, we tackle (in my opinion), one of Cuphead's HARDEST bosses: Rumor Honeybottoms.
Besides Grim Matchstick, I had THE most trouble with Rumor Honeybottoms compared to any other boss. I can't handle moving platforms, man...
I have much more respect for S-rank speedrunners now

For some reason I s ranked isle 3 before any other isle and still haven't done that for any other isle I'm stuck on Hilda so I'll watch the s rank for her
I remember fighting her and being stuck on it for hours and then my dad was like “Cmon it’s time for bed.” And I said “Just one more time and I’ll go to sleep” and he said “Fine.” So I gave it a shot and finally beat her. This boss will always hold a special place in my heart for that moment.

How do you reliably get the parry in the first phase? Everytime i go for one, i just jump onto the next platform and get hit......

I beat this boss on my first try but that was before they nerfed spread and charge shot. Dr Kahl was the boss I was stuck on for days but im sure I'll get my dues once I try S ranking her

Now sure if anyone commented this but another tip is, if you are using lobber our roundabout shot you can aim at the sky to bounce off the roof and hit her so you don’t have to lock and aim downwards
For me, rumor honeybottoms was kinda easy (used roundabout and chaser).
would it be easier on the plane phase to just aim the lobber balls up and let them fall

Lobber/Charge Shot/Spread/Chaser/Roundabout not so much Peashooter!
In my first expert playthrough i s ranked this boss in my first try, I really can’t understand why people say this stage is hard
Same, I used crackshot, spread, super art one and Ms. Chalice. Although now that I think about it, I got a lot of help from the DLC stuff, and this video was posted before the DLC, so it’s definitely something about that.

The second spell is “bullshit” 😭 for me tho it was that final phase like this is the boss I struggled with the most. I was scared for the robot but beat it really quick. That’s normal mode tho. Expert here I come…

Do Grim first. With Lobber the only issue is parrying.

I really hate that bee I remember getting right to the last phase and fell off I had to retry I was crying for one hour yea that’s how long it took me to the point where I was almost at the end and then I had to restart

Yeah, I must say.. this just isn't a good boss. No offense to MDHR, but it's just poorly designed. I find myself having to pay attention to the background almost as much as the boss. If a speedrunner just kinda "skipped" this boss, I wouldn't fault them. Anything past just beating the boss and moving on is a waste of time imo.
I don't wanna jinx myself but bruh I think your pointers on the last phase may help me beat this bitch. I couldn't get a rhythm down on the plane but when she frowns I'm haul adding to the opposite corner. Stay tuned.
She was easy for me dr Kahl’s robot and king dice were the ones I hated and struggled on the most.

This has to be the hardest boss to beat on Expert in Cuphead 😡

I beat honeybottems extremely quickly, I don't see why everyone thinks that it's the hardest boss in the game? But that's just me, honeybottems is easy
Lol it took me around 15 minutes to beat the robot and around 20 to beat wally warbles, but this bossfight took me almost 2 hours.
