Hang on he is talking about spread of the unvaccinated knowing he just said that vaccinated can spread. Do they then take them to court because they caught it from a vaccinated person. How does that not become a double standard.

My question is that considering the vaccines only purpose is to prevent severe illness/death... he explained that not being vaccinated puts others at risk so he compared it to second hand smoking and driving without a license... so using that comparison... how does a single employee in a business who is unvaccinated pose a threat to the other "vaccinated" employees? My understanding is with that logic you are essentially saying that the vaccine does not do its job. I know the first response will be "reduced transmission" but he clearly stated that transmission is something that was not considered in the development/issuance of the vaccine. We are strictly speaking of death due to COVID. That risk should ultimately be left to the person who is taking the vaccine and if they are okay with the risks associated of taking the vaccine or not taking it... nobody else. Those comparisons he made are terrible and don't make sense when comparing them to the vaccine. Ultimately even in 100% vaccinated world COVID will still be transmitting and mutating and killing vunerable people... I don't see the end goal unless we have a vaccine that prevents transmission so we can ultimately eradicate covid. Just my 2c.

It’s never about guaranteeing zero risk or zero negative outcomes (in the context of covid or anything else) since that is not feasible. But if measures can be taken to reduce the risk and occurrence of negative outcomes but companies fail to do so, then they have reneged on their duty to maintain a healthy workplace. How they measured the amount of virus transmitted by 2 equally healthy individuals who are at equivalent stage of infections and the only difference is vaccination? There is no such scientific studies. Because the potential price of natural immunity without previous infection memory is too high, even for healthy people. Although we are aware of the more severe immediate complications, we will not know the longer, more insidious complications of natural first infection for a long time until longitudinal studies are done. I am a runner and I don’t want to take the risk of long term Covid complications that might end my hobby. My opinion is that it’s better to have the vaccine with inactivated virus first as an infection memory foundation and then the body will be able to cope with successive reinfections as it does with the cold and flu, which have been around for a long time.

At 00.05 I don't understand his statement saying in the US the unvaccinated states are the ones bringing the virus to vaccinated states and then it spreads in vaccinated states as well including among vaccinated people. He said himself that the virus still spreads when you're vaccinated so why assume that the spread is due to non-vaccinated areas. Especially when we know that the vaccinated states are much more dense... Does not make sense at all. I wish the interviewer would have asked him on that. There were 0 non-vaccinated states in Israel and still the virus spreads like crazy but hospitalization was lower which is good. What I get from this interview is people at risk lower their chances to end up in the hospital or die thanks to a recent vaccine which is good. But vaccinated or not we should all be careful as we can ALL sprend the virus. So to me instead of convincing entire population to get vaccinated they should at least pay much more attention to the population at risk which for most is very old and some must be confused with all that is happening.

    • @eileenmcchrystal8471

Perhaps listen again. The point of the vaccine is to reduce, ‘severity, hospitalisation and death.’ Thus transmission is still possible, however there is an effect to stop catching it & this transmission to a limited extent. Simply, in an unvaccinated population (state (s) ) more people will have it it will spread more widely = more covid. Then if those people got to vaccinated states they are ‘spreaders’.

Plus after almost 8 billion given starting about a year ago, wd can see they appear safe. Generally short term risks are known within 3 weeks from starting mass vaccination and by 8 weeks long term effects would be known about.
Immediate protection from vaccines seems to drop after 90 days but I still feel there will be long term protection from t cells or so called killer cells.

If the vaccine reduces transmissibility at most by only a small amount, and he even admitted there is debate whether it does at all for Delta, then why should there be vaccine mandates? The vaccine only protects yourself, NOT SPREADING TO OTHERS. So why should anyone mandate vaccines based on that? This is the logic gap which mandate advocates fail to answer!!! Based on this, the vaccine is a choice for self protection only, so there is no logical reason for mandates!

It baffles me how "shortsighted" these doctors became. Sure, 1 kid dying is a tragedy, but in the African continent and India, for example, a huge amount of kids are dying for not having access to basic sanitation... yet they insist that the priority is to spend money buying vaccines instead of doing something else that will save many more lives. Suicide rates in the US among young children are skyrocketing, yet they are salivating to spend a huge amount of money with vaccines to prevent 100 deaths instead of tackling bigger and more deadly problems. I think this is a really great discussion. The problem with this discussion is that it only talks about people preventing the spread or not getting as sick by getting vaccinated, as if that’s all there is to it, along with social distancing and wearing a mask. It really needs to be combined with a discussion on people prioritizing and taking responsibility for their health too. Working on actually building their immune systems so they are strong. That is probably one of the best deterrents of spreading Covid yet most are not even mentioning it. I get that people want the easy way out - pop a pill, get a vaccine shot, etc - but that mentality and habit is also fueling the decline of health in our populations.

We have had people in our society with open tuberculosis, infectious Hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS, etc. etc. for decades and we never said to them: "I hold you liable for getting me sick!" This is exactly the opposite of showing solidarity towards another sick human! It ignores the potential for forgiveness towards another human being. It is unethical and immoral to say the least. You cannot expect to go through your entire life, wrapped in a plastic bubble and never get in contact with any disease. Bacteria's, viruses, fungi, they are everywhere! A very good interview. However, your example of an outbreak in a workplace and workers dying and a case being taken against the unvaccinated members of staff as being assumed to be the ones who spread it is assuming irrationally that's those were the source of the infection as we know that anyone can transmit infection. And what if 100 % of the staff are vaccinated and an infection occurs and there are deaths among staff then? Will a case be taken against the staff member who frequents crowded nightclubs, travels on crowded public transport? And if vaccinated people can die then why are the unvaccinated people presumed to be the cause of their death? The vaccine is supposed to protect them from serious illness and death and you are saying that only someone who died by being infected by an unvaccinated person is a crime more or less - that's your inference - but a person who dies after being infected by another vaccinated person is not a crime? It's illogical.
You do not take into account the unvaccinated who have been infected already, nor those using other prophylactic methods to reduce their risk of viral load exposure such as regular use of mouthwash and nasal sprays as well as masking, hand washing and social distancing, plus taking immune boosting supplements and a healthy diet, and possibly an anti viral such as ivermectin if in a country where that is available to them. These methods should be used by all people. However many vaccinated people feel free to live freely with few precautions as they can blame someone else if caught up in an infection outbreak.. the scapegoat..the nearest unvaccinated person they can point to.. regardless that that person was Not the cause if the outbreak but just another victim if it.

Well, as interesting as this interview may be (and it is), it's still an interview with an vaccine expert. So it is primarily about vaccines and vaccination as the solution to COVID. It is not about the other may be even as important health issues in relation to COVID. Dr. Kim is very quick in his respons to vaccination of children, while the fact remains that mortatility and severe illness from COVID is by far the biggest issue for the elderly and people with health problems. It would make more sense to put the focus on the most vulnerable and not only focus on vaccination as the solution but also look at other factors. As research has shown general health (being in good shape) is also a big factor. Why not do something with this knowledge? Dr Kim doesn't mention any of this, just focusing on vaccines and of course this is his expertice. But as interesting as it may be, it's a bit of a one way street. For a long term solution that might be too limited and a broader approach has more chance of success. Betting on one horse is never a good idea ...

As the interview goes on, there is a tilt towards segregating vaxxed from unvaxxed which is curious as he acknowledges at the beginning that vaccines are not designed to stop or even slow infection. Also, the disregard of natural immunity renders the public health discussion mute. The expert is clearly biased on public measures. Likely a reflection of Korean culture.

This was a great interview! He seems to have a more measured approach than most Vaccine Institute administrators; in my opinion.
I honestly wonder though where even polite genuine critique or questions are in these comments?
For instance, why has my friend who now has vein thrombosis from Comirnaty being told it was a pre-existing condition he just didn’t know about, in addition to heart problems for three from the village jogging group?
What does Dr. Kim think about aspiration to ensure that all injections are intra-muscular?
Thoughts that address the accusations published by the late senior editor at the BMJ?
Why did two senior FDA officials resign saying political pressure?
Why is it that fairly NEW technology can be rushed through, but older more tried and reliable immunological technology is taking so long for approval?
All my concerns I see as legitimate, hopefully can be addressed in future, even after watching this whole interview and my personal risk-benefit is still erred on the side of caution.
That said so many positives in this chat. Universal vaccine could be great! And I’m much more trusting of protein vaccines and will only boost with those (like a lot of others it seems).
Really appreciate Dr Kim and the Asian Boss for facilitating this.

This interview was excellent. If it so happens that you might do another interview with Dr. Kim, it would be great if you could consider asking him some of these questions:
    - What has been done to evaluate the possibility of the vaccines causing a phenomenon known as antigenic imprinting (or antigenic sin), whereby a previous encounter with an antigen (e.g. the vaccine) sets the immune system up to perform less effectively when it encounters a similar but slightly different antigen (e.g. a new strain)?
    - If short term clinical trials established that a small number of people are showing side effects, how do we know that over a longer term those who received the vaccine will not be more prone to develop conditions, such as maybe fertility problems or increased cancer statistics?
    - If we say that over 5 million people have died worldwide from COVID, how is that number arrived at? How many people might it include who died with unrelated comorbidities and also tested positive for SARS-CoV-2? If this number is aggregated from reports around the world, how is this done? Are there any suspicions that some countries will be reporting numbers less accurately than others?

Yes, but the conversation should not end there, there needs to be discussion about everything that is planned, as the doctor himself mentioned, these "vaccines" were not developed to prevent infection, thus you will get it either way, thus vaccine mandates have no justification and their implementation would be immoral and antidemocratic. Also, the conversation shouldn't end with these one doctor, there are other doctors that certainly disagree with his take. What I would like the most is a vaccine that actually prevents infection permanently, if all the vaccines acomplished this function then vaccine mandates may be discussed.

Dr Kim is the best, and Asian Boss does fantastic interviews with him. My favorite sources for COVID info are this and also Dr Feigl-Ding.
Both are experts and the conversations are always strictly science -based with NO political influence or agenda.

I'm not anti vax but no trials have been presented for strong medication I've been taking for 38 years and will be taking for the rest of my life for prevention of medical condition, if a trial is presented for this particular medical condition on this strong medication, I may have a better understanding of what I would be mixing in my system in my body, it is unrealistic to put people at risk to unknown and reactions that are no documentation on this subject. and the vaccination and strains are just unknown, so adding a new vaccine on top of the current unknown the mind boggles, at least for me, this is my perspective and my body to choose what I add to my system, taking into account I can not give blood because of the high dose of my medication, .permanently in my system.

Lots of “probables”. Variants are being driven by mass vaccination with jabs that don’t stop transmission. How about discussing the crushing of the virus in Utter Pradesh (240 million) , Japan and other countries? So much suppression of truth to promote vaccines. In South Africa the symptoms are mild and hospitalisation is low

I like the questions and i have gotten alot of information from this interview. I still dont agree that we should mandate the vaccine, people should have the right to choose what they do with their body regardless.

    How did Australia get Omnicon?
Because Australia has a lockdown on travel for unvaccinated people arriving and leaving for a long time!🤔

Its simple, they changed the protocol for what they are considering as the new virus variant . If they test a tree or fruit or a dog it will also test positive .

Because the so-called "vaccine" does NOT stop you getting infected, or being infectious; because they are NOT Vaccines; in that they don't make you IMMUNE, the way REAL vaccines do/did! (In case you think I'm an "anti-vaxxer", I have been properly vaccinated MANY Times with REAL vaccines ...and will be again, if needed...

That's it unvaccinated , but even expert said that vaccinated people can still transmit the virus , while the delta is still present . Also , the vaccine doesn't eliminate entirely the transmission of the virus . The whole point of the vaccination is to have better immunity and higher percentage of eliminating the transmission .

The gentleman suggested that government may have a responsibility to mandate vaccination on the basis of a question he posed: Do people have the right to infect others? Earlier in the discussion he mentioned that vaccination might not prevent transmission(and perhaps this is better understood in the context of the dated discussion and the subsequent surge of omicron). I think that undermines his argument.

I think Dr. Kim, in this interview, indirectly explained why vaccine really takes a longer time to be studied before making it available for mass inoculation. Like he said, and I'm paraphrasing it now, a lot of data are needed to be collected before we can fully answer queries re vaccine efficacy.

exactly, and it shouldn’t be mandated until we have more data. we are not lab rats.

This is a leaky vaccine that doesn’t sterilize the virus so why is such a faulty product being mandated!? It’s insane. And no one can tell you what the long term safety data is because it doesn’t exist, even Pfizer’s data sheet says their stage 4 long term safety study won’t be done until later on 2022. And why won’t Pfizer release the 350,000+ pages of vax data they do have that they submitted to FDA for approval yet they won’t release that to Public until 2076.

@@wambaofivanhoe9307 So, you just going to trust the data they feed you? Who do you think supported the studies? The pharmaceutical companies. I trust the statistics. The data everyone can access. What we are seeing is that the highly vaccinated countries seeing massive outbreaks. Just check the data on the number of infections and deaths. Half of the hospitalized in UK are vaccinated.

@@wambaofivanhoe9307 Thank you for the update. It turns out the data from the US unfortunately can not be trusted either. In fact, during the presentations for the senate hearings, one of the senators specifically excluded data from the US for this reason. The misinformation is rampant and we need to be very careful with the sources.

@@wambaofivanhoe9307 Believe me, I wished that was the case. But if the data from everywhere else contradicts the data we have here, it is something to be weary. I am starting to wonder about the votes, too now. The faith and respect I once had for this country is quickly crumbling as I discover more facts. I am a scientist and I have been looking at countless data and I agree with one of the senator regarding trustworthiness of the data coming out of some states. It is something that needs to be investigated. There no longer is any trust that I once carried. I hope to restore the respect and pride I once I had for this country.
