You are a natural teacher, with thorough explanations, details, & visuals. My husband actually stopped what he was doing & watched over my shoulder ~ very impressed.
G’day from Sydney, Australia. 🐨🇦🇺 I love your content! I am obsessed with your murals on your dining room wall. I adore them. I will implement them but only as art as I change my mind even more than you do. Lol I can’t believe you painted your windows black and then white again. Oh for a husband who would not fuss about that. Lol I love that as you decorate rooms you explain and I learn something. Thank you ☺️🍷
Hi Julie! Thank you for "visiting" from Australia (I'm so envious)! And thank you for your kind words. LOL, my poor husband gave up voicing an opinion a long time ago (poor guy). I hope you go for a mural or two ... peel and stick is such a game changer! Have a great weekend!
Wow, so !impressive!! I could never do that without my husband's help. That's amazing you can cut wood and use a Brad nailer, miter saw! And you said you can't garden..lol. Girl, what ur doing is way harder than gardening!
Sure you can!! Trust me, there was a time I didn't even know what a miter saw was ... now, it's one of my BFFs, lol. And thank you for your encouragement to garden ... I really need to try, despite my silk thumb. Hope you have a great day!
Good morning Becca! Kudos to you for your hard work! Love how the board and batten walls add dimension to your entryway walls! They add pizazz! The big mirror is beautiful and does reflect the light as well as reflects your other decor…which is so nice to see! Oh, I loved the scenic ride! Hope you have an enjoyable weekend! 💕
Hi Kathy! Thank you so much. Isn't it fun what a bit of wood can do?! I do love how the mirror reflects the light ... might have to stay there longer than I had planned. Have a great day!
What a great job. It looks amazing as always. Changes always makes you enjoy the room even more. Looking forward to your Summer decorating. You will never know how much I look forward to your videos.
Becca, you are a construction and decorating Wizard! I love how you tackle such in~depth projects and make it all look so easy! Love your board and batten finished project! My husband would be impressed too!
There isn't anything Becca can't do to a home to elevate it! Love your new batten wall and the mirror. You also explained thoroughly how to execute gorgeous board & batten walls. And, I can't help but to think of all the money you saved by doing this project yourself! Yayyyy. Awesome Becca, and do keep these vlogs coming. We get so many ideas from you❤.
What a kind thing to say (do you go by Adrianna)? Thank you SO much! And, you're so right about saving money going the DIY route (even if it's far from perfect). Have a wonderful weekend.
@@AdventuresinDecoratingyou are always welcome, and yes, Adrianna is actually my middle name...Elizabeth is my first name after my Great Aunt, but I have always gone by Adrianna. You have a blessed weekend as well "Ms. Interior Designer❤.
Good morning Becca. Is there anything you can’t do? The wall looks amazing! That was such beautiful scenery on your way to Lowe’s. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Father’s Day to your sweetie. See you next week.
Hi Shirley! You are so kind ... thank you for that and your encouragement! My hubby thanks you, too! I hope you have a wonderful weekend celebrating the dads in your life!!
Becca, you are so talented! I learned many new things (and I bet my hubby would have too) watching this video. Especially about measuring on the back of the board that will be touching the wall. Thanks for sharing with us!
Hi Harley, you are always so kind. Thank you very much! I wasted quite a few boards on my last project measuring the wrong way, lol. Hope you had a great weekend!
I'm about to gather materials and start mine only because I now feel comfortable because of you. You really teach so well. Im still going to do my countertops, but Ull do that afterwards. Thanks Becca
You did a wonderful job! I'm always amazed with what you do. I would never tackle something like this but you've got it down pat! I love the way the mirror looks in that area too! Have a wonderful week end and Happy Father's Day to your hubby!
Hi Kathleen, you are too kind. Thank you! Trust me, there was a time that I didn't even know what a miter saw or brad nailer were ... now they're my BFFs, lol. My husband thanks you! Hope you have a wonderful weekend celebrating the dads in your life!
Hi Becca your channel was recommended to me because I have been looking at board & batten and accents wall. I want to thank you for taking the time to share the tutorial and tips. Your wall turned out beautiful oh by the way a new subscribers. Have a blessed weekend.
Hi Shanna! Thank you so much for joining me and your kind words! I hope you go for the board and batten accent wall in your home ... it will look fabulous! Have a great day!
Hi Becca, Your wall looks amazing! I’m impressed that you got that done so quickly. You are superwoman, well done! I love your mirror, very pretty! Thx for sharing and have a wonderful weekend! Xoxo ❤
First it is hothouse, but thank you so much Becca for the detail of everything. I really want to try this in our cottage and we have to do it on a budget meaning diy😊 I’m going to have my husband watch again with me. I am so impressed with your skills!!😮 tfs and I really mean that❤
@@AdventuresinDecorating Thank you Becca. We had a wonderful weekend with our 3 grown children!!!! It was a nice Father's day!!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend too!!!!

Hey Tisha! Oh trust me, there was a time when I was, too, BUT the quotes we got for someone to do the projects for us scared me more (lol), so that's when I turned to DIY. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
@@AdventuresinDecorating I can definitely understand that!! Like I said I’m very thankful that my husband can literally do just abt anything, I don’t know what I’d do without him, bc I’ve always got an idea to do something 😂, he’s actually stopping by Lowes for me today to pick up some paint, now that I can do tho!! Also, I wanted to comment on something else but I didn’t want it to be out front for everyone to just see as they are scrolling through the comments bc I never want to offend or hurt anyone..but I wanted to say that I really appreciate you for showing us how you completed the project in a very respectful, lady like manner, if you know what I mean. So many times myself or my husband will be trying to watch a video of a diy project and a lot of times if it’s a female a lot of them can’t do the video without exposing themselves (that’s all I’ll say abt that part) and that’s just very distasteful. Of course I’ll never comment to them abt it bc I don’t want to get all the negativity back at me, and I don’t want to hurt anyone or offend anyone even tho it really offends me, I just stop watching the video & if it’s someone that I happened to be subscribed to I just unsubscribe bc I’m not going to expose myself to that. A diy project should be abt the project & nothing else. I just wanted to say thank you for always being a lady in your videos!! Ladies like me really appreciate ladies like you!! That’s how we should always be!! I hope you don’t mind me saying this, and if you feel like my compliment to you will be hurtful to anyone in anyway please just delete it, I will understand completely, I just really wanted you to know that I respect & admire you for your modesty 🤗
Love the video and instructions you provided. May I ask do you have a texture wall that you had to work with before putting on the board and batten ? Thank you
Thank you!! Our walls are fairly smooth; however, I've seen plenty of folks paint right over the texture OR they mount pieces of plywood in between the battens to give a smooth finish before painting. I hope that makes sense.
Hi Becca! On the vertical boards, did you hit studs for every board? If not, I noticed you didn't use glue to adhere the boards along with the brad nails....were you worried that the brads wouldn't hold since they only went into drywall? I figure that once you caulk the boards, they'd be more stable and stay on the wall? Can you clarify? Also, what color paint did you use on your walls and doors? The color combination is great! Love it!
Great eye! I totally forgot to video that part. If you look at the end of the video where I share the "after," you can see the 1x2 resting width-wise on top of the 1x6 (I used Loctite to adhere).
