  • We give out our credit card information over the phone, over email, and to basically anybody who asks. So why not just publish the number, expiration date and security pin on RUclips? When it comes to online privacy, this is a valid question to ask.
    To understand more about virtual credit cards and how they can potentially protect your financial transactions, read more on All Things Secured or give Privacy.com a try for yourself.

    Virtual credit cards are a great credit card hack to control your financial transactions while masking the true identity of your card information. In several ways, this resource definitely helps to limit the risk of your credit card being hacked.
    In this video, which in some ways is a Privacy.com review, I'll explain exactly how Privacy.com virtual credit cards work and how to setup one up for free.

    I read through their Privacy documents but I did not see how long they keep a record of my transactions on file. They would know where I use it and how much I spend. That would be a handy data point for marketers. I'd like it more if I knew after 30-60-90 days for example any transactions are purged for privacy, not retained forever.

    This is interesting but today I realized that I can keep my credit and debit cards locked all the time and just unlock when I want to use them. It's instant through the card's phone app. Recurring charges still go through. I still get my cashback. Perfect for cards you hardly ever use but I locked all of mine.
    Also, make accounts on transunion, equifax, and experian and freeze your credit. Nobody can get credit in your name with the credit freezes in place. Get on the sites and temporarily lift the freezes the day before applying for credit.
    Between the credit freeze preventing new credit in my name and locking the credit/ debit cards preventing most fraud on them, and of course you can dispute charges on credit cards of someone overcharges... I'm feeling like my money and credit are pretty safe.
    But those virtual cards are cool, I bookmarked the page.

    What happens if you buy something and buy then you want to return something like a shoes that doesn’t fit how you would though is the money going back to the vcc or your debit card/bank acc

    • @AllThingsSecured
      @AllThingsSecured  Год назад

      It gets returned through your vcc (even if that card has been closed) and automatically returned to you funding source.

    Why I can't use it in other parts of the world... why is it limit to America it's visa Mastercard same as anybody, surely that's against free trade with banking what reason do they give they won't accept anybody else outside of the US?
    how much do they take in transaction

    • @AllThingsSecured
      @AllThingsSecured  3 года назад

      First, they don’t take anything from me on the transaction. I’m assuming they make money from a percentage of the credit card fees for the merchant.
      Second, it’s not about Visa/MasterCard. It’s about the funding source and the Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance for Privacy - that’s why it’s US-only.

    • @AllThingsSecured
      @AllThingsSecured  3 года назад +17

      Refunds can still be processed on a closed card, and Privacy can still put it back on your funding source.

      Then the supplier refund on this virtual card. These cards exist in South Africa too via the bank and I use it especially for on line shopping. I credit the amount needed on the virtual card like that i avoid any problem and i am safe

    The pay in account to a virtual credit card must be linked somehow in the world wide web??
    so may be set up a separate bank account i only pay cash into over the counter/self serve atm for a small amount of $
    If any hacking traces me from virtual card back to bank account they get bugger all
    just wondering
    as all of this is in the cloud and its open to hacking
    nice video and thanks!
    if it was available in Australia id give it a go
