Couldn't figure out where the power window relay was. This was helpful, thank you. For anyone else trying to figure out how to get the power window relay out: search online for relay puller pliers The pliers you want have the little bent hooks at the end that get under the relay and help with pulling the relay straight up and out. I bought the CHEAPEST one the big online store had that was a quick delivery. It worked. Unless you're pulling relays for a living, you don't need to spend much. I paid $12 and it worked. I had to wiggle the relay with my fingers first which didn't seem to be doing anything but it did give just enough space on one side that the pliers hook could grab it. Pull easy until it gives a bit more, release the pliers and wiggle the relay again with your fingers You'll eventually be able to grab it with both of the plier hooks. Pull straight up, but do NOT squeeze the plier handles too hard to avoid damaging the relay. Biggest pain is that big bundle of wires in the way. I had to turn the relay pliers upside down to get past the wire. Used a wooden chopstick to push one tab until I could wiggle the relay up enough to just pass it Then I used the chopstick to push the other tab out of the way while pulling straight up. It took a few tries but the relay finally came out.
Would brake lights not working be the same thing as the tail light relay that you mentioned? Also, having trouble locating fuses for the brake lights fuses you mentioned on the inside of the car. Mine is a 2003 CRV. Do you think that makes a difference in the location of the fuses?
I’m trying to troubleshoot my 2006 Honda brakes lights. Both globes work when head lights are on . When I turn them off , only the right hand one works. Have cheacked the 7.5 fuses in the internal box. Bit stumped.
Thanks for sharing useful info. My 2005 CRV left high beam is not working. Bulb and fuses checked found ok. I am not getting voltage at the bulb connector, please advise what else to check. Both low beam and right high beam working fine.
Mr. Lehew, Thank yo for your video in the CRV. I have a 2006 Model Honda CRV and teh battery drains when it sits overnight. I've heard the term "Parasitic Battery Drain" used to describe this and watched a number of video concerning tracking down the bad fuse or relay that could be causing the problem. Is one fuse or relay that is usually the coulpret, or is it hit or miss to find the bad one? The method is using a meter se on milliamps setting I believe. Your response and insight are appreciated. Thank you, GT Albright - Dexter, OR
I have a 2004 Honda CRV. Driver and passenger interior power door lock switches only lock and unlock the drivers door. The remote will only lock and unlock the drivers door. Passenger front and rear as well as driver's rear will not open using the power switches or the remote. Any idea what is causing this?
I have a 2006 CR-V and dad hit a deer in it and completely cut all running lights, I know wiring. But can't find a damn fise popped replaced them. Looked for any grounds in that area. There are non that come off. No cut wires that I can see. Just the driver side panel and headlight got messed up but nothing horrible.. can't figure it out. Got any ideas? Lol
Hello! Do you know how to find the fuse for the glove box light? My light inside of my glove box will not shut off, I’m in the process of trying to get the glove box re-keyed/unlocked but can’t access the interior. In a result, this is killing my battery and my car won’t hold a charge. Thank you!
Do you know if the Air-Fuel relay is on the same location on the 2004 CRV??? Just add the relays behind the glove box and this would be perfect video. Thanks for making it.
I need to replace the power window relay on my 2005 CR-V, and that thing is insanely hard to get out (2:07 in your video). For some reason, they have two little clips that hold it in, so you need to pull on the fuse while trying to push the tabs apart. I can NOT get that thing out. I've tried pushing little pieces of plastic in the sides to hold the tabs open, but my pliers just slips off the relay. Is there something I'm missing here? Is there a special tool for this application? Is there a way to drop the fuse panel down to get better access? Do I need to hire a really tiny, super strong trained monkey?

hello, i have 2004 crv and i have green key flashing and the car does'nt start.
Which relay or fuse do I remove to prevent the car from starting / theft?
I don't know about preventing starting, but for preventing theft I've seen advice to pull the Fuel Pump Relay.
Please where is the rear view mirror fuse 🙏🏼
Why does my fuel injector fuse keep popping ? As soon as I plug it in it pops.
Same problem here. Can’t figure out why! 🤬
Maybe the A-T rating is too low OR there is a short circuit.
