- The purpose of me requesting they react to songs like these is just to expose them to music they may or may not have heard before, to expand their horizons and to sate my curiosity over whether they will like them or not. As such I don't really care about likes/dislikes on these video postings or even the popularity of my channel or theirs for that matter.
Also nothing is monetized on my channel so I make no money from posting them, they do these for me and I just post them here in case other people are curious what they think of these songs too after they send me them and I have watched them myself. As mentioned this is not their channel, if you wish to visit their channel it can be found listed below.

It's about Mozart. The only german-language song ever to be No. 1 in the US

His hometown was Vienna. "Rock Me Amadeus" reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts in 1986, making him the only artist whose principal language was German to score a vocal number-one hit in the United States.
He was also the first rapper ever to hit #1 in the US as well as the first one to have international success. And that as a white guy - Eminem, go back to your cellar!
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg, Austria. I've been there and visited their family's house. It is now a museum. They have Mozart Festival every year.
@Patrick Tomberger
schön geschrieben. 👍
Big In Japan did too if I remember correctly
According to Cash Box, 99 Luftballons by Nena went #1 2 years earlier.

As an Austrian, I have to say it's always nice to see English-speaking people reacting to musicians from my home country. Falco's music is an integral part of Austrian culture and it will never be forgotten. He sang many songs in both German and English and was the only Austrian to reach number 1 on the Billboard with a song in German (Rock me Amadeus). Thank you for your great reaction. Greetings from Austria.
"Sounds like French to me" got me. /wave from Germany. thx for giving us Falco. (still have to visit Austria properly.)
Falco used to mix english words in his lyrics to sound modern - I think that's confusing and brilliant all together.🖖 The Song is from 1985.
Falco at one time was as big in europe as Michael Jackson in the same time....
Falco was smooth and he KNEW IT. REST IN PEACE
Great song RIP Falco 😔
Don't expect people to know everything but .. erm there's only one Amadeus .. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart .. you know the genus, genius and catalyst for every bit of music that exists, my god
Falco Austrian like Mozart
They have previously reacted to scenes from the movie Amadeus and they mispronounced his name back then too. Such a great film though.
What do you expect from americans😄
he cant even say amadeus
@@therealvennox5677 And when he said "It sounds like french"? My God. The sheer ignorance.
He is singing most of it in a stylized version of Austrian German. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was one of the most famous classical composers from the area that now is Austria...
none of the reaction videos i saw for Falco Amadeus so far knew the name Amadeus or even the era those costumes were in use, except 1 or 2 music teachers
@@mcasualjacques That was so bad about so many of these reaction videos, that do not know the basics of one of the great composers in history.
@@earlpottinger671 in little school we started with Saint-Saëns "Pierre et le loup" and learned to recognize all instruments, then we learned about the series of major composers. There was also a Sunday show on TV with operas orchestras theatre ballet etc etc.
@@mcasualjacques My brother who was/is a musical genius would have loved your school. But I am a computer nerd, I have no musical ability and can not even dance or keep a beat. Yest, it seems I know more of this composer (Amadeus) than people who have music channel here on RUclips. It is not like I expect then to know it all, but most of them never seem to have heard of him.
Also Falco has a number of hit songs out, yet again most of these RUclipsrs seemed to not have heard their music before.
Weep for mankind.
I'm listening and looking at the comments. It was the 80s and he's Austrian just like Mozart. Austrian's speak German. Some of it is in English. It cracks me up when youngsters think they know when color video came out. Color video was out in the 30s kids. For instance the Wizard of Oz came out in the 1939 and the bulk of it is in color. Yes the majority of films were in black and white until the late 50s and 60s.
Gone with the wind was also 30's and in color

Falco was freaking awesome.
Hello from Britain. We are known for speaking German 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 he's from Austria and is speaking German but chucks in a few English words
Falco is Austrian and sings and partly lived in Germany, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is also Austrian / German, that should also be clear to Americans
You two are definitely not the brightest candles in the room!
And he's from Austria, not Germany, not France, any definitely not from England.
The lead singer was Austrian, born in Vienna. AMADEUS who the song refers to was a world famous classical musician Wolfgang AMADEUS Mozart.
A lot of the song is sung in German which is the main language in Austria. Falco said that he learned his English through watching films, television and music videos.
Falco real name Johann Holzel sadly died in a horrific road accident back in the Nineties.
Eminem: I'm the best rapper ever
Falco: Hold my Beer
hold my apfelstrudel
Same singer other song "Jeannie " that was a super hit back in the 80's
He is singing in Austrian, and he is singing about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This song was a tribute to Amadeus and the movie that was previously released called Amadeus.

It's Austrian, the song was made in the early to mid 1980's. This was on MTV in about 1985-1986.
I love the song it was the weirdest, slamminest, most foreign thing I've ever heard I still don't understand a damn word that man said but it was badass
Please god. Educate the americans.
Absolutely.
As a slightly offended American I can't criticize. You have to consider the age, experience and worldliness of some reacters. Americans have to travel thousands of miles to know another culture/language. In Europe, another culture/language is as close as 500 miles or closer. A short drive. Except for Mexico, Americans have to take long flights to find another language. A lot of reactions are without warning or explanation.
^ you don't have to travel to educate yourself about the world. Why do you think Europeans know so much about the US? Google is free
I had the 12" single of this back in the day.
I would kill for a original! I have nearly every album!
Falco, was an Austrian musician, singer and composer.[1] WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART -ROCK ME AMADEUS(after movie Amadeus ;1984 year)
Please Vienna Calling by Falco too. Thx
Falco had one big hit, Jeanny, censored and banned in the USA's. You missed this one missed this one :( .
And Out of the dark
Falco is from Austria in (Europa) and he was 1986 1st place in USoA. He was singing in German. A good singer from Austria. Chees from Sweden
I don't speak German, but I know when I hear German...
German--about classic composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The movie about his life AMADEUS won Best Picture Academy Award in 1984. This song came out in 1985. The late singer Falco is from Austria (where they speak German).
Learn the world kids.
It was his thing to mix in some English, but most of it is German with an Austrian accent. I think his song "Vienna Calling" has even more English mixed into it. Btw, some people claim, that he was the first European rapper.
He was!!

Early 60s with a French singer. So that's two shots right into the center of the target😁
Falco is singing German and English mixed together and the song came out in 1985 4 years after his first song der kommisar

1985 mid 80s
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzbourg Austria. Falco speak German, he is an Austrian 80 s singer. The best version : Salzburg Konzert 1986
I don’t know what’s funnier in these vids : they don’t know who Amadeus is or they don’t really have a clue what language it is
Not knowing which language Falco is singing in is understandable. Not knowing who Amadeus is? Not so much.

The Clip was made in Vienna and speak or sing in austrian German and english, and Falco was from Vienna Austria.
The music Clip Deals with the life of the austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart!

Falco is speaking German, with some English thrown into the song
He is from Austria
At a time when practically ever kind of artist tried dipping into rapping mixing it with their sound, I remember when this song came out I even bought it it was good I'd thought, very amusing.
it was in 1985. it's in German. There were a number of Germans - language songs which made a hit in the 80's
I can only think of two German sung songs that were hits in the United States and those two were by Nena: 99 Luftballons (99 Red Balloons) and the other was by Falco: Der Kommissar - and both songs had English sung versions. The only other two artists who had major success from Germany in the U.S.A. back in the 1980s were the Scorpions- who sang in English and the German-French duo of Milli Vanilli, towards the latter part of the 1980s. Other artists with mild success were: Kraftwerk, Alphaville and Boney M.
pefect example of us citizens being stupid and showing that to the world.
Song came out in the early 80s and he was singing in German.
This song has been done in a lot of things. But the im a playa is a song by the one and only Tech N9ne
The first and last german Song that was number 1 in the USA!
Falco is a Austrian. His really name is Johann "Hans" Hölzel.
music is evolution too and it at that timed rocked then came beathoven and so on and so on i hear classic ,techno old songs all of them of many lanuages and nowdays we have so many new songs a day probly we could do a top 20 every day but hey slowly how many million songs can we play
The reason you are hearing a lot of English words is because English is a West Germanic language. Although it is sprinkled with lots of French, Norse, Latin and more, the base language is German. When you see written German it's quite obvious, but the spoken word can be a little harder to recognise. This song was in German with the chorus being the very English expression, "Rock Me" Amadeus. Also, how can you get to your age and not have heard of Mozart. I like this video because you two are so fresh and raw. I actually find it funny the way you pronounced Amadeus and a few other things. Subbed just on this video alone.
The Simpsons parodied this song as “Dr Zaius”
