Ohhhh, yes... Organized Noize, and what they did with the Dungeon Family, will always have an extra special place in my heart! Outkast and Goodie Mob were the lifeblood of my teenage years - thank you for all the joy y'all brought to my life growing up! ❤

Phonte of Little Brother (with Rapper Big Pooh & 9th Wonder), being apart of the Justus League, is like an extension of Organized Noize & the Dungeon Family.
I've never bought an Organized Noise produced album that didn't make my life more enjoyable as well as thought provoking. Much like The Roots...and Phonte. Consistent, top-notch artistry with a message. Much respect and appreciation.
1:04:59 WRAS FM 88.5 “Rhythm & Vibes” was the show Questlove was referring to where The Roots and Goodie Mob freestyled for 20 minutes straight. Randall Moore & Talib Shabazz were the hosts.
@@Mr.Majestic77 incorrect. WRAS-FM 88.5 was Georgia State University's radio station. WRFG-FM 89.3 and Georgia Tech's WREK-FM 91.1 were the only other 2 stations in the city that played hiphop. V103 didn't embrace hiphop in their rotation until the brand new station Hot 97.5 (now Hot 107.9) came to the city in the summer of 1995. Clark Atlanta''s station WCLK has been straight jazz since they came on air.
@@jaycee763 I stand corrected lol. You right. I recorded the music they played on my cassette tape and played on my walkman during my 8th grade year in middle school and my entire high school years. That era of underground Hip-Hop in the 1990s expanded my music content from Kilo Ali, Raheem The Dream, Hitman Sammy Sam and other local artist (legends in their own), Geto Boys, 8Ball & MJG, UGK, NWA, CMW, DJ Quik, The Click to the Dungeon Family, Native Tounges, Wu Tang Clan, Boot Camp Click, Onyx, Brand Nubian, The Roots, Nas, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, Krs 1, Public Enemy, Jeru the Damaja, Crooklyn Dodgers, Ill & Al Scatch, The Pharcyde, Souls of Myschef, The Artifacts, The Beatnuts, etc.
I’ve got the bootleg and the info says 88.5 Rhythm & Vibes radio show - GSU - hosted by Taib Shabaz & Randall Moore. 1995 - Goodie Mob & The Roots (Rahzel, BT & Kamal). 19 min freestyle, 30min interview and then Cee-Lo performs Free.
Organized noise are one of the dopest collective/singular hip hop producers of all time. It's enlightening to hear the mind of the producers music process. Dope interview.
Rico, Ray & Sleepy, the three headed GOAT. I hope Questo gets into how they were one of the few acts he’d hear & have a fire lit within him while recording Roots classics.
Ain't no way I've been listening to QLS on Pandora for the past year and didn't know the video existed on RUclips. 😂 😂 😂 I thought it was ALL audio! Now I gotta rewatch everything I listened to! 😂
the Sleepy Brown family tie with the Brick/Dazz vibe just blew my mind. I keep trying to find the right words to find why the roots in soul and funk can influence some styles so much, and that has got to be a huge piece of the puzzle. To have not just fans and popularity but also have family ties raising you in music, that is amazing history. Cheers to everyone involved and thanks for all the music.

I never had an SP12, but when I realized I could midi my TR 626 to my friend's 909 and use the sounds, life began. I can definitely relate. Decimort 2 has saved my life for using a computer, but it's not the same as a 3k/ASR 10 . As far as MPCs, 3k is the ONE (outside of the 4k). I used to use an MPC 3k with an S1000, and wish they were put in one machine. That machine is the 4k. The rest you can skip and buy an MPC touch with the software. The 2k was a cheap attempt to make the machines affordable to people at Guitar center instead of GC Pro. That's when they made the outputs/effects optional to reach a price point, and also made the midi sloppy. In addition to changing which side the pads were on, they also played with the flip screens. MPC 60 flip screen, 60II, no flip. 3k flip screen. 2k no flip. 2k xl flip screen etc....
1:11:11 That's crazy that he said that, because I remember 10th grade at Oakland High and seeing an OutKast ad in the Source and my potna Dre asking had I heard them. I looked at the picture and was like, this shit probably wack 😂. He was like nah, these fools be spitting like Heiro, but on some players shit...
Oh, my god! So, the radio freestyle with Goodie Mob and the Roots he talks about @1:04:00 was on WRAS (I think out of Georgia State Univ) on the Rhythm & Vibes show and it was fucking EPIC!!! I was in high school at the time and it is etched in my fucking brain. I've actually called the radio station to ask if they have old tapes but no luck. But, man, that night...the KILLED it!
