Thanks Phonte for bringing up Witch doctor and Cool Breeze’s albums! Love how much knowledge Quest has but he takes way too long to ask a damn question! Phonte gets straight to the point!
Can’t wait for the Dallas Austin ep.....4 parts I hope....Shoutout to the QLS crew! Phonte provides the perfect balance to big bro Quests encyclopedic musical knowledge KEEP IT GOING Y’ALL
Thank you for this episode and the podcast is 🔥 I appreciate how Questlove is not only an award winning musician himself but he is a fan of Organized Noise. I am mainly a fan of R&B but when these 3 production geniuses dropped that OutKast album; I was like 😮 My top 5 Organized Noise productions are: 1. Blood: Goodie Mob. 2. Ain't No Thang: OutKast. 3. Goodie Bag: Goodie Mob. 4. The Day After: Goodie Mob. 5. Mainstream: OutKast/ Goodie Mob.
I'm still mad they took that video down from RUclips, a few years back that live performance of "Watch for the Hook" @ The Tunnel was up on here and the crowd was ridiculously turned up, shit was beautiful lol...
I really wish this didn’t have to end. It was very worth the wait. Interviews like this are very much rare today. When you have interviews today where so many of today’s artists only talk about beef & nonsense & talk about their music for 10 seconds, this is more than refreshing.
I needed a lil more on the Liberation segment. I wish these guys paced their interviews better and instead of being so in a rush to get their questions out. Dope interview tho!
I would love to make an *Outkast+Goodie Mob+Little Brother+The Pharcyde+Souls of Myscheif* Mixtape. I can really see Big Boi+Phonte+Rapper Big Pooh+Fatlip+A-Plus making music together.
I’m so glad you mentioned The Foreign Exchange cause I’ve rocked with phonte and LB, and 9Th wonder since The Listening and FE is way underrated on overlooked! 💯🔥
Had to watch this in memory of Rico rest well....great episode!
That part!
I’m glad Quest got the opportunity to interview these guys before Rico’s passing.
Peace peace!
Yeah but goodie mob fell out with roots because when they went on tour roots was playing goodie mob songs on there set
@@Coco-de2ei hmm.. I wonder if they ever reconciled. Hopefully they did
This interview is CLASSIC!! RIP Rico…
Lamarquis Jefferson is my mentor. I was raised in music by him. He plays bass on every beat I’ve used live bass on. Living legend
RIP Rico. Thank you. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 You will never be forgotten. 🙏🏾❤️🕊️
Damn I wish there was a part 3 this was a very good interview
shout out to Phonte for mentioning " Growing Old". that is one of Outkast's dopest tracks that they've ever done.
Damn that's my favorite OutKast song too
@@lamontricks1074 if I did a Top ten of OutKast Songs,it would definitely be on that list ✌️
Autumn caught 'em
It's the very first song I listen to every new year morning when the sun comes up
Getting Grown it’s called Getting Grown, I listen to that song at least twice a week, that song is motivation!
Who else keep pulling up songs while watching this interview?!😊
🎧Fr fr📻
Bro I had put it in my memo app...so I can play them later 🤣🤣🤣
I was doing just that.
I've got to stop... Its slows down my work 😂
I met Rico at Howard theatre after the df reunion …. He is one of the nicest people ever
These guys are some of the biggest reasons i produce. I loved this interview so much man. Congrats on the episode

… but somehow Backbone gets overlooked… guess what though … stay tuned 🤞🏾… my story is still being written ✍🏾
@@BACKBONE_TELEVISION let us know because Backbone wasn’t no slouch!
@@BACKBONE_TELEVISION You, Big Rube, JOI, Lil Will and all y’all were the soundtrack to my life! Appreciate you fam

Oh nooooo, really? I find that interesting...you have been an integral part of the Dungeon Family, so I am speechless...
@@BACKBONE_TELEVISION
You were mentioned at 46:54...yaaaaaay!!!
One of the greatest production teams ever! Hit after hit after hit. Classics galore...
Society Of Soul & Sleepy’s Theme albums we’re super dope. Still on my playlist for 22
I have the Society Of Soul album on vinyl...
Indeed - The Vinyl Room must be considered a classic.
I ended up with a sealed cassette copy of Sleepys Theme about a month ago. Still on the hunt for that Society Of Soul on Casette.
Rest In Power - Rico Wade - Architect of Atlanta Hip Hop
Man. I wish this was 3 parts! I'm glad I was able to see it on RUclips.
Same here! They deserve over 4 hours!
Organized Noize Saved My life real talk👊🏿

Free was so dope!!!
Liberation is a top 3 Kast song.
"You the leader." - Dre, "You right!" - Rico.
I had "You May Die" set as my alarm clock, back when you could set your disc player to wake you up.
That song should’ve been like 5 minutes long. One of the greatest intros in music
You may hurt till you cry you may die/ keep on trying
LEGENDS ! 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 INTERVIEW ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Hell Yeah!! Great Convo with All Time Greats!!💪🏽👊🏽💥💯
This is a great discussion with some sensei musicians! and I am kinda feeling the warm beige lighting in the room!

This!
So damn dope 🔥🔥🔥
Learning about the depths, relationships, history of music
Outkast was one of my favourite band
Great Great interview
Great show!
I had to pause, get my CD and play "Follow the Light" 🙂
Now I am thinking about the songs "White Guts" and "Rollin'"...
That album was slept on!!!
51:55 why wasn't the entire BLOOD (America is Dying Slowly) track on the Goodie Mob debut album??
8:55 hmmm... watch for the hook was okay, but creatine was my joint
Sleepy we want more music!
Man, was going to hear about them recording Millennium off that atliens. Dope episode regardless.
LA Reid didn't understand what he had. He meant well but he was really in the way.
I was waiting on part 2
I wish I can hear those Sleepy Brown Shaft Soundtrack songs
Why do you have to close the show? I don't get it
Organized Roots album as above so below 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Peace to Rico Wade.
Peace to The Dungeon Fam.
My record from Even in Darkness was 6 minutes.
Was just bumping that at work the other day lol...
Peace... 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥✊🏿🙏🏿
These videos deserve more views smh

I can really see Big Boi+Phonte+Rapper Big Pooh+Fatlip+A-Plus making music together.
RIP Rico Wade 🙏🏽
🔥🔥🔥
Nobody ever asks Organized Noize about "Synthisizer" or "B.O.B" I need the production and session breakdown of the music
Earthtone III/OutKast did both songs, so I am not sure if they would do a breakdown, since they weren't the main production team for either song...
RIP Rico!!!
I wish Phonte would have asked about Sleepy working with Pimp C and him producing like 7 tracks on sleepy’s second album Sleepy’s Theme
It is wild, because I think Sleepy had three albums, no?
He had an album prior to Mr. Brown, but I don't think it was released?
9:05 smooth sh*t on EJ's album was... SMH. Just amazing. As was Dez Only 1
loved this interview
All Sleepy’s albums r tight. He and Phonte should work 2gether on sumn. I wonder if Sleepy knows about Foreign Exchange.
I’m so glad you mentioned The Foreign Exchange cause I’ve rocked with phonte and LB, and 9Th wonder since The Listening and FE is way underrated on overlooked! 💯🔥
Yeah I was thinking about that too...I think it would be dope
🔥
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Thank you
Bruh that was AMAZING… like whoa (excuse my Black Rob)
Rip Rico!
Hold on be strong
Man when I heard FREE off the Soul Food album I was like WHOA!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’d heard the version of Growing Old that Phonte is talking about. I like that version better than the version that came out on the lp.
Greatness
SUPERB EXCELLENCE
Maaaaan.

👏
In conclusion, LA Reid F’d up a lot of careers. Never liked him. He ruined Laface too.
Rico didn't answer the question lol
Ole girl keeps asking about songs they were not even present for….smh….do your homework, please!
🤔
Hold up -
What was Quest being Captain Obvious about...?
I think he was saying when they heard Liberation, they got inspired to do Heaven Somewhere with Common.
Music Family Trees.
"i hope you like rap songs"........
