My father had Italian heritage but use to go in the hotel pub on St Pat’s Day and sing Irish songs for people in there miss those days he is singing in heaven now .
This is glorious.. and I think it is important to acknowledge shel Silverstone who wrote the poem 'the unicorn song' he also wrote I'm being eaten by a boa constrictor If you don't know him he was a brilliant poet... Vlook him up
I remember these grand fellows from my youth. I am Irish on my dad's side. I guess my favorite was the Unicorn, but have heard songs I have never heard until tonight. Love it! Deme from the USA😊
I saw the Irish Rovers on TV in 1969. They were on WPIX New York playing in Gaelic Park on St. Patrick's Day. They were great. I've seen them twice since, but both times were after Will had left the group and Jimmy was gone. The new lineup is good too, but I wish I could have seen the original lineup live.
I've been wanting to see this again - in its entirety - for a very long time, so thank you so much for posting this. The Irish Rovers were (and still are) my favourite band. Thank you again.
Been a fan for years. Watched the TV show on CTV. Wasn't that a party is one of my favorites. And no, not Canadian, living in Northern Vermont. I miss Canadian TV .
When I was a young boy living way back in the hills of Connemara these Irish Rovers, they were living at the bottom of my garden, they were up to something, into trouble causing fights and arguments with their neighbors Many times I had to go out in the middle of the dark night and sort things out,
Did they have a version of ‘Puff...’? I remember the version by Peter, Paul & Mary. The hit I remember most from the Irish Rovers in those days was ‘The Unicorn’.
The Unicorn Pub in Calgary was THE place to go, especially on St. Paddy's Day. Love these guys.

You guys will never be replicated
I though that you were going to say REPLACED
No.....any group can be replaced per say....NOT replicated. Basicly the same but I'm sure no group can come close to them
Today is August 5, 2024...I hadn't thought of the Unicorn song in aong while...I love it...
