    I love watching his work, which is not error-free (he only remembered the protection of the mother-in-law seat during welding, the alloy rims were not protected during the chassis protection, so the paint mist got inside them, he did not use gloves during assembly). However, all of this pales in comparison to his precisely thought-out and precisely executed work. Expertise is also clearly visible when finding the optimum cost. All in all, I was able to watch the professional work of a professional mechanic. Thanks

It's true that even the most skilled professionals may overlook certain details, but the overall precision and expertise in their work are what make a significant impact. If you have any specific questions or if there's anything else you'd like to discuss, feel free to let me know. Enjoy watching and learning from the skilled mechanic's work!

He would’ve cut the right rear quarter and drilled out the spot welds holding the cut off and the rear tire well and used the frame straightener to pull it all out instead of manhandling it and cutting the tire wheel out then do the spot welds. Work smarter, not harder🤷? Great video as always though! 🙂👍

    If a second accident occurs, you will not be able to drill out the weld spots because you are not using a spot welder. In addition, any corrosion protection is lost. That's not professional.

    What is the purpose in panel beating / straightning the crushed panels that are going to be removed and replaced with new panels?
    seems like a wate of time and effort hammering and straightning panels that are ultimately going to be replaced.
    I also have to wonder if its economically viable to rebuild these cars, does the cost of parts and labour not exceed the value of the vehicle?
    In the UK the insurance company's would write these cars off and deem them illegal to repair due to structural damage to the sub frame making them unsafe to repair....
    Love your videos and seeing these cars rebuilt. amazing skill.

    • @xinxianshi
      @xinxianshi  7 месяцев назад +3

      Panel beating and straightening the damaged panels before replacement serves several purposes:
      Assessment of Damage: By straightening the damaged panels, technicians can better assess the extent of the damage and ensure that the new panels fit properly.
      Structural Integrity: Even though the damaged panels will be replaced, ensuring that the surrounding structure is properly aligned and straightened helps maintain the overall structural integrity of the vehicle.
      Alignment: Straightening the damaged panels helps ensure that the new panels will fit correctly and align properly with the rest of the vehicle's body.
      Aesthetic Considerations: Straightening the damaged panels can also improve the overall appearance of the vehicle and make the repair process smoother.
      Regarding the economic viability of rebuilding these cars, it depends on various factors such as the cost of parts, labor, and the value of the vehicle after repair. In some cases, the cost of repair may indeed exceed the value of the vehicle, especially if there is extensive structural damage. In regions like the UK where insurance regulations are stringent, vehicles with significant structural damage may be deemed uneconomical to repair and written off by insurance companies. However, in other regions with different regulations or market conditions, rebuilding salvaged vehicles may still be financially viable, particularly if skilled technicians can perform the repairs efficiently and cost-effectively.

    Do you use any measuring equipment? If so please show that also

    • @xinxianshi
      @xinxianshi  8 месяцев назад +1

      In our repair work, we rely on tape measures as our primary tool for measurement. The philosophy behind this approach is that, with our years of accumulated experience and a deep understanding of vehicle structures, we are able to use tape measures for precise measurements to achieve standard repair outcomes. Our work values practical experience and technical proficiency, enabling us to restore vehicles to their original condition without the need for advanced electronic equipment.
      We acknowledge that the modern field of automotive repair includes various high-precision measuring tools, such as electronic measuring systems, which can provide extremely accurate data. However, the introduction of these devices does not render traditional methods obsolete. For us, combining practical experience with the use of traditional tools still meets the high standards required for many repairs.
      Moreover, our method also reflects a consideration for cost control. By effectively using tape measures and relying on our professional judgment, we can ensure repair quality while avoiding the investment cost of expensive equipment, which is an added benefit for our customers.
      In summary, while we respect and recognize the role of new technology in automotive repair, we also believe that experienced technicians using basic tools like tape measures can achieve professional and high-quality repair outcomes. This approach, balancing cost-effectiveness with repair quality, is a significant hallmark of our work.

      ¡Buenos días! Sí, la utilización de chapitas o refuerzos en las uniones puede ser una práctica efectiva para mejorar la resistencia de la soldadura y evitar hundimientos. Es genial saber que también tienes experiencia como chapista.

    Lo único que estuvo mar es la aparte parte del guardalodo trasero, el técnico tenia que buscar los punto de unión del mismo y solamente desoldarlo de los mismo, el no tenia que cortar el guardalodo nuevo para realizar ese trabajo.

      Entiendo tu observación sobre la parte del guardafango trasero. Puede haber diferentes enfoques para realizar reparaciones, y la elección de cómo abordar un problema específico puede variar según la experiencia y preferencia del técnico.

      Hello, thank you for your message. The welding points are generally sufficient. Each welding point will ensure that the entire cavity is welded. The strength is not as weak as the spot welding of the original car.

      確かに、事故が大きすぎて損傷がひどい場合は、修理するよりも新しい車を購入した方が経済的です。 しかし、我が国では修理費は非常に安く、新車の3分の1以下ですらあります。

      It's totally a waste of time and labor to those people who do not have the skill and are lazy enough to do basic repair.
      As an electronic technician myself, I considered restoration and repair as my stress reliever, a challenge, and opportunity to learn things by exploring and improving myself both technically and being a person. Doing repairs is not just putting back something into its original state in terms of looks and functionality but also training you to become more patient, hardworking, and competent to do and overcome challenges. Every job done is fulfilling regardless of effort and money involved. People who don't have the passion to do such things are surely impatient and unskilled. So they choose to throw everything away and buy new ones simply because they know nothing.
