I have this exact Shark Stratos Ultralight Corded Stick Vacuum. I've had it over a year, and it's phenomenal! The only drawback is how small the dirt canister is, so it requires frequent emptying if doing a lot of cleaning. But it's super powerful! It fills the canister just on my stairs. The cord is fine... it's 30 feet, so it covers a lot of area. Excellent on both carpet and hard floors, and it does have good edge cleaning at baseboards because the power sucks in the dirt. I 💯 recommend it. Stores nicely because the canister/motor section has a slot to store it lower in the unit, making it stand on its own. Love mine! Dyson is overpriced.
Not shocked at all the reviewer favors the Shark. I own a corded Shark Rocket HV381 with the DuoClean powerhead - first generation with the traditional bristle brushroll. It's basically a older version of this, but it has a cloth microfilter on the exhaust, not a HEPA Filter. I absolutely love it! Does a terrific job on my hard floors and area rugs, WITHOUT changing attachments, like changing to the fluffy head on a Dyson for similar hardfloor cleaning. About the suction - funny enough, I was considering upgrading to a Dyson V10 a year ago, and went into a local shop to try one - on the Dyson's medium power setting, it had about the same amount of suction power through the hose as my Shark! Considering that was the reason I was thinking of upgrading, and that Dyson stick vacuums have battery reliability issues, I chose to keep what I have, knowing it will work well for many years to come :).
Duuuuuude! I have 3 cats & 2 dogs & omfg my house is horrid! That laser is flipping amazing though! I can see every spec of dirt with the house lights on or off. I'm keeping the Dyson for quick cleaning but I apparently need something with more power & a cord for whole house cleaning.
You comepletely blew over how the sharks single cylcone design causes the filter to be dirty after every use. You have to clean it MUCH more often than any dyson that has ever been made. Poor poor design. If the dyson was used under the max line always the filter can fo a year and not be visibly dirty.
It’s a fraction of the price, so I don’t personally expect performance parity in all areas. There are definitely trade offs. Sorry if I didn’t cover that sufficiently.
@@vacuumnerds is not just you, many reviewers skip over that but it's a big deal if you have to clean a dusty dirty piece of foam a couple times a month if you want full power
If your home has much carpet, I would definitely suggest a corded vac as a primary, with another as an option for quick cleaning. Personally, we have only one small carpet, and the rest is hardwood, so the V15 is our primary.
@@Matt-fd9hcI forgotten about Simplicity Vacuums. I guess I started eyeing the Sebo X4 (I believe formally) because I like the look of the X4 uprights, their bag filtration systems, & how quiet they are. Unfortunately, the prices are out of my budget. I’ll have to wait until hopefully, 2028 or 2029 to afford a Sebo. I’m very sensitive to LOUD, NOISY AS HELL vacuum cleaners & unfortunately, they cheap inexpensive ones are LOUD & NOISY. And I’m only speaking from experience of going through those cheap machines.
I completely understand the aversion to loud vacuums. That's why I always wear noise cancelling headphones or earbuds. No issues with the nose that way. I really like my Riccar R25D. Paid $599 with also a 10% off deal when I bought it at my local vacum store
My Dyson 12 with the laser is my game changer. My fav thing is that it's lighter in weight which is extremely important to me.

I agree, the canister is a bit small, but it's a great vacuum for way less than the Dyson.
@vacuumnerds oh for sure!! I love my Sharks...all of them!
Thank you for the additional feedback. I just pulled the trigger and ordered the Shark, can't wait for it. And I agree, Dyson is way over-priced.

Should of tested the cordless shark against the cordless dyson because the cordless shark has more suction then the corded one
I think the shark lift away 702 is awesome i own one
Why did you use the corded stratos and not the cordless?
Because of the title of the video
The Dyson has ruined my life! lol. The floors are NEVER clean with the dang laser exposing everything 😢😂
Ha! The laser head is actually very useful.

Thank you for doing this comparison, you helped me decide which one I would go with. Also, I used your link, so you're welcome too :D
The cord is a problem, love my dyson, And i'm super cheap, but I bought another one
I can't lie. I prefer no cord too, but not everyone has a Dyson budget.
Why the hell is he comparing a corded stick to a halo product
I think the title says it all. We focus on a lot on afforable vacuums.

dont buy a shark or a cordless dyson if you are considering to use it as a main vacuum. NEVER.

Sounds like you don't know how to properly use or maintain dyson cordless vacuums.
What brand would be good as a main vacuum?
i think shark won
For the money?
yeah and the others like duoclean@@vacuumnerds
Never ever buy a bagless vacuum especially Shark or Dyson.
Always buy a vacuum that uses bags. Always
What is an inexpensive bagged vacuum that is under the outrageous price of the Miele or Sebo you would recommend?
@@CShannon1991
Simplicity makes some good bagged vacuums and they aren't very expensive.
