I havent tried those two vanilla’s.My favourite vanilla is Kayali Vanilla. A Warm boozy, Brown sugar scent with a hint of sophistication. Like whipped cream on dessert.
I'm not a vanilla lover as such when it comes to perfume as it usually comes across smelling like plastic or cheap synthetic sweetness, but when I smelled Tihota by Indult...😍😍😍 She is my queen of vanillas, no doubt, but I keep smelling away because there are so many others out there that I haven't smelled such as Angelique Noir or SDV. Will definitely be getting my nose on both of those to test out!
Hi! 🙂 Love vanilla note but I feel I need something else to offset it. In Angelique Noire the angelica is perfect for me, love the herbal sharper but still very lovely vanilla. Maybe my favourite with Shalimar. The other one I like is Mona di Orio, your recommendation. SDV is a bit too strong on the cedar note to my nose so like but it love.
Angelica archangelica is a medicinal plant, that has been used both as medicin and as food and spice for 1000 years in the northern Nordic countries. It has a pretty strong aromatic, almost spicy smell. How interesting to use it in perfume😊 My favourite vanilla? It's almost embarassing...but Victorias Secret 'Bare Vanilla' bodymist makes my eyes roll to the back of my head EVERY TIME🙈😅 I could bathe in that stuff...and knowing how many backup bottles I have...I probably can!🙈😂
I really enjoy Angélique noire. I have both Angelique noire and SDV. I've been wearing them for a long time now and I can say I enjoy wearing it more than SDV. I think it depends if you prefer a strong boozy vanilla or a green spicy vanilla. To me "angélique" smells really green and spicy. In that sense I found it closer to Nishane Ani but less gourmand. Ani smells too much like a kitchen to me because of the spices and is a bit more masculine. But the dry down is really close. I hope it will help 😉
I tested them both, I love SDV and I like Angelique, but.... Their longevity is disappointing. Would love to purchase SDV, but my couvent mimimes is way too similar for me to buy SDV. I'm puzzled. Angelique Noire is sweeter, but not as orgasmic as SDV, but more unique. No idea which one to choose, or none...
I really want to get Joyeuse Tubereuse from this line. I smelled it in Vegas years ago and it lurks in my mind. It sounds like the whole line is really interesting.
I really like Alaia Blanche to me it smells amazing, waiting on Kayali Vanilla 28 very excited to have it in my collection. Van Cleef and Arpels Orchidee and Vanille is another love of mine.
Love Alaia Blanche so much. It's lovely & not too 'basic' but not too complex either - not to the point of seeming 'vintage'. Don't usually like heliotrope but in this it's great. Hv several backups.. Also have 2x Alaia Nude but that has a really woodsy base - the creamy coconut is subtle tho - it's not long lasting - the Blanche is the star imho..
I’m still looking for my favorite vanilla. I thought it was going to be Orchidée Vanille (which i blind bought because I got a great deal) but I can barely detect it on my skin. It’s beautiful, though. Still looking! I need to try SDV again. Tried it once at Neiman Marcus about a year ago. Cheers, Arlene!
I love grown up vanillas. I've got to try SDV. My favourite vanilla is Farmacia ss Annunziata Vaniglia del Madagascar. It's warm and has just a slight citrus and woody note. I prefer a perfume that's not too loud so it's polite sillage is perfect for me. I also really want to try Goutal Nuit et Confidences
Angelique Noire is my favorite but I actually wear Spiritueuse Double Vanille more. It's less sweet and more wearable IMO. I'm flying through my bottle of it! 😢
I have a decant because Leni, a German fragrance reviewer, raved about it (in English when she visited Juan’s channel). Anyway I agree with you! It’s too strange for me. I am hoping to own SDV some day instead!
I confess that my reaction was somewhat conflicted. I quite like Angelique Noire, but the performance, given the stratospheric price, just doesn't measure up. Tuxedo has that greenness from violet leaf, and the greenness in Angelique Noire reminds me of it, which is hardly a bad thing. Rumour has it that Guerlain is discontinuing the entire collection, and that Tonka Imperiale was merely among the first to be given the axe. As they appear to be replacing the line with the new, even pricier extraits, one suspects that criticisms of the weak performance of this collection was a factor in their decision. This is alot of money to be asked to pay for what amounts to a skin-scent with barely adequate longevity, regardless of how nice it is.
I like both but the one that I’m thinking of getting is Angelique Noire, because it’s more unique. I have other perfumes in my collection that smell similar to SDV, but the best perfumes are always copied.
I just ordered a dupe for Spiriteuse Double Vanille that I heard several tout as an excellent dupe. It's Angelica Perfume's "Vanille Doree". Have you ever smelled it? I bought it blind after reviews and can't wait to try it!
@@DeliciousDelights well I’ll let you know how it goes! I havent smelled SDV so i can’t compare it, but I can tell you if Vanille Doree is good or not :) if i love it i might get the real thing for my bday next year :)
Hi Arleen (I hope I spelled your name correctly)! I'm so happy you did this review! I've been trying to decide which one of these two perfumes to buy and this was very helpful. I've been looking for samples from this collection but I can't find any. Since we both live in the Netherlands, would you mind sharing with me where you got your sample? I would be very grateful!
I ordered both of these because of your comparison. I can't wait until they arrive. How do you feel about Montale Sweet Vanilla? I do own that one and like it alot.
Hi..off topic..my apologies..but I'm pressed for time. On one of your Rodriguez perfume videos, one of them you talked about was one, I thought you said it was called Low?
Yes I want to know where everyone is getting it. I have never smelt either but I would like to purchase. I live in Canada and can’t find it anywhere. Even the Guerlain site is sold out. If anyone knows plz let me know where to purchase
Which is YOUR favourite vanilla of all time? Please just pick one :D
I havent tried those two vanilla’s.My favourite vanilla is Kayali Vanilla. A Warm boozy, Brown sugar scent with a hint of sophistication. Like whipped cream on dessert.
Have you tried Van cleef Bois Dore?
Vaniglia by Mazzalori

It does! I have yet to get my nose on Ani. Heard so many great things about it :D
I own both and I would hate to say which I like more because they both have their own uses. I'm happy to own both. 😊
I adore them both so much! I don't find them to be particularly comparable, so I don't feel so bad owning both lol
Angelique Noire is my favorite Guerlain
I have both and honestly I can’t say which one is my favourite . Like them both equally😊
Like them both! But if pressed - AN.
And my favorite vanilla in my collection is Ani, perhaps it’s my favorite of all time too.
Really great comparison video, Arlene!🥰🥰🥰They are both beautiful perfumes!
I just received a sample of Angelique Noire and it is absolutely beautiful.
I tested them both, I love SDV and I like Angelique, but.... Their longevity is disappointing. Would love to purchase SDV, but my couvent mimimes is way too similar for me to buy SDV. I'm puzzled. It’s a love, but only 3 hours. 😫
I prefere Angelique noir because is less sweet and more interesting

same story here, only difference, I bought the oilperfumery version. great notes but i can hardly smell anything
Aww sorry to hear it didn't work out. Hopefully you can try SDV again :D
👉🏽Ani (Nishane)
👉🏽Ruby N Vanilla Intense (EBK)
this are the ultimate vanilla scent.

Never mind I should have watched to the end before asking. I’m going to try to get my hands on the double vanille
Thanks so much, this video is very helpful :)
Angelique Noire is my favorite but I actually wear Spiritueuse Double Vanille more. It's less sweet and more wearable IMO. I'm flying through my bottle of it! 😢
You think AN is more sweet than SDV? Because i don't like over-sweet scents. i love vanilla and slightly sweet. so i thought AN is the right one 🤔
SDV is stellar. I haven't found my like for Angelique Noir
I hear ya! :D
I have a decant because Leni, a German fragrance reviewer, raved about it (in English when she visited Juan’s channel). Anyway I agree with you! It’s too strange for me. I am hoping to own SDV some day instead!
My current favorite Vanilla is Ani by Nishane. 💕
Ahh I have yet to try that one...it sounds so lovely! :D
@@DeliciousDelights I don't get the hype over Ani. I have a sample and just find it totally underwhelming.
IMO.

Oh my goodness...I hope the rumour isn't true! I don't see myself ever buying an extrait at their prices :/
@@DeliciousDelights Me either. Guerlain prices are out-of-line.
Thank you for the kind insights…Would you ever sel your angelique noire? Please let me know🤗
No 3 Lune Feline
No 2 ANI Nishane
No 3 Spirituese Double Vanille
Tham you for sharing. Need to try both of them 😘😘👍👍👍
🌈Thank you I was debating which bottle to buy🌺

So true!
Where do you buy the small size of spirit ours vanilla
Love your channel
This is my favorite scent
SDV nothing comes close. It is my all time favorite fragrance.
I just ordered a dupe for Spiriteuse Double Vanille that I heard several tout as an excellent dupe. It's Angelica Perfume's "Vanille Doree". Have you ever smelled it? I bought it blind after reviews and can't wait to try it!
I don't think I've heard of that one. 😊
@@DeliciousDelights well I’ll let you know how it goes! I havent smelled SDV so i can’t compare it, but I can tell you if Vanille Doree is good or not :) if i love it i might get the real thing for my bday next year :)
I really love Reminiscence Vanille, haven't try SDV yet only eau the missions
Rem Vanille...to my nose smells verrrry similar to Guerlain Cuir Beluga...so good!

Hi Alex. I bought mine on Marktplaats from a trustworthy splitter. I think the ad is gone now unfortunately :(
@@DeliciousDelights Ah, I see... Thanks for replying and sorry, I only saw your response now - never received a notification :/
@@DeliciousDelights Hu I thought I was watching an american youtuber and suddenly I see marktplaats lol A fellow Dutchie

Oh I hope you enjoy them! I enjoyed Sweet Vanilla as well, very nice!

This one is my TRUE Love.. 🥰
Aww nice to hear you've found your one and only :D
Did they change the bottle? I went to get a bottle and looks
A little different
Yes this is the older bottle design 😊
What is the line called by gurlain that has these.is it like prive line signature line.etc..?
Where do you live and where did you buy these fragrances? I can’t find them both NOWHERE. 😕
How can I get a sample of both?
Hi Arelen. Pinay ka ba?😊 I've been looking for good Pinay scent reviewers lately and have been wondering if you're one. 🤍
My parents are Filipino but I was born in Canada and now living in the Netherlands 😁
@@DeliciousDelights awesome! Thank you for answering.🤍🤍🤍
Hi..off topic..my apologies..but I'm pressed for time. On one of your Rodriguez perfume videos, one of them you talked about was one, I thought you said it was called Low?
Hi! Yes it's Narciso Rodriguez for Her L'eau 😁
@@DeliciousDelights Thank you so, so much!!
Hi, where did you get SDV? It’s so hard to find...
Mine was a gift from a niche shop in Belgium. They also had it available in De Bijenkorf department store in the Netherlands.
Where can I please get the decant from?
Check eBay for a decant. That's where I got mine.
Spirituese is so hard to find!!
Yes I want to know where everyone is getting it. I have never smelt either but I would like to purchase. I live in Canada and can’t find it anywhere. Even the Guerlain site is sold out. If anyone knows plz let me know where to purchase
