Hey another great video, what are your views on perfumes from the fashion house Massimo Dutti? Have you tried any of their offerings, I love the Sandy Papyrus.
I bought the Le Couvent des Minimes in fall 2019, it's a really good and realistic boozy vanilla. It's one of my favorities for staying cozy in the fall/winter.
What I really like about this review is that there are really great inexpensive alternatives suggested. Very nice. I have fallen in love with Eau de Mission. The juice gets better and better in the bottle.
Hands down! Sebastian is THE BEST fragrance reviewer online! He gives in-depth, quick, and accurate reviews along with important aspects for any consumer! YOU ROCK DUDE! Keep it up, and you deserve a TV show or at least to be a part of a fashion show in the area of fragrance! You’re classy, sophisticated, and you reach all audiences! Solid! Solid! Solid! Keep it up my friend! 😇👊🏾💯
I own and really enjoy all the scents mentioned...except for the Couvenant one and Serendipity. I will be ordering Serendipity asap !! The Korres Black Sugar was a nice "surprise"..as well as the H&M Vanilla Malagasy !! Love the whole newer line of Yves Rocher !!
That korres black vanilla is just gorgeous and mixed with the body milk is even better , the added sweetness and creamy nuance it gives off is delicious 😋
I also love the korres scents, that black sugar is soo good. I have got an old scent from that i use sparingly in the fall and winter season...vanille freesia lychee...more complex and deeper than the Le couvent
Some people say that Vanilla Freesia Lychee is a Flowerbomb. Regardless, I went thru a whole bottle of the Korres in less than a month. Women really liked it on me.
@@johannaperez63 Yes, I have compared their other fragrances to the original and I can't tell the difference. I've experienced great customer service with them, and they accept exchanges or returns. 😊
I’m so glad that you mentioned Roche! I heard a few complaints about a possible reformation of SDV. Both people were very disappointed( another influencer was showing her bottle and when they got their bottle the juice was really light. I just placed Cuir de Nuit in my Amazon cart!
Great video Sebastian. Thank you very much. It was very helpful. Have the original but it doesn’t stay long on me and it’s really green on me. Tested the most you mentioned. I have also a inspired one wich is really similar. The covent one is the closest in my opinion. Please go ahead with this kind of videos with the L‘Art et la Matière line. I looove Cuir Beluga and Tonka Imperial but the Price tag is too high to use them every day. I‘m looking forward to see your alternatives!
Great video. I recently picked up Essential Parfums Divine Vanille and Berdoues Oud Wa Vanillia because they were supposed to be very close to SDV... and I was very disappointed in both. Not because they were bad fragrances, but they're not even close to 50% similar to SDV.
I haven't smelled the Berdoues, but Divine Vanille was super disappointing to me too. The vanilla was super light, transparent and drowned out by fruits.
@@linzeeb4 I didnt notice the fruits as much, I just thought it smelled way too much like Herod, which I already own. I knew going in that some people said it was similar to Herod but way more people said it was closer to SDV. To me it's easily 80 if not 90% Herod.
i have most of those fragrances in my collection, but i still crave SDV by guerlain more, i dunno something about it sure is addictive in it's own unique way, it probably is how well the vanilla has been aging giving it the most distinctive bourbon vanilla smell in the fragrance game, anyways such well put together list sebastian 👌🏼

Hello Sebastian. Great Video as usual. I know you like Berdoues. Have you smelled Oud Wa Vanillia from their line? I am not into Vanilla because I find it too sweet but this one is great with hints of smokiness.would love to hear your take on it
Hello Sebastian, I love your channel❣️I have the Guerlain VDS but I also like very much Van Cleef and Arpels - Orchidee Vanille, not boozy but very pleasant.
I have spiritueuse double vanille it's my favourite vanilla scent, Iove it to the extend that I bought cuir det nuit when I watched your video about yves rocher haul and you mentioned that cuir de nuit is simillar to SDV. diptyque eau duelle edt also reminds me of SDV.
Pure eVe by The Different Company is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women and men. Pure eVe was launched in 2011. The nose behind this fragrance is Celine Ellena. Top note is Aldehydes; middle notes are Mimosa, Flax and White Rose; base notes are Candied Almond, Musk, Sweet Notes, Dried Fruits and Cedar. This parfum smells a lot like guarlain tonka. Sebastian, do you know this parfum?
Wonderful video Sebastian. This added a lot of value for me. I think I'll go with the Yves Rocher Cuir de Nuit. It's really affordable. Where would I find the original Guerlain? I think it's discontinued
Hey how about a review on sung homme by Alfred sung it's a old cologne from the 80s I hear a lot of mixed reviews on it some people like it some people don't but I would like to hear your review and what you think about this fragrance
Hey Sebastian, have you tried Vanille Havane by Les Indemodables? Very simple concept but yet very unique at the same time and as a result, it's not your typical vanilla scent.
Korres is pronounced like "kors". They're actually a skincare company and put out some really great products. I'm interested in their fragrances after watching this.
@7:00 Exactly, no tobacco on that Zara R/W/A. Quite an absurdity of Zara with names, to include such a smell in a "Tobacco" collection. Should have been in a Coconut or Vanilla collection. I was so disappointed when I smelled it. That was before corona times, store had no samples, so blind bought it together with the Unexpected/Fresh/Spicy (which is awful at least on my skin, as if a raunchy booze had been spilled on me.) At least R/W/A smells ok, but it's too coconutty, brings to mind the smell of some candles and suntan lotions, would have not purchased it for sure had I tested it. (Have never purchased coconut candles either for that matter :D) Zara at least redeemed itself big time to me later on when I tested and got Vibrant Leather, then Warm Black, and then Vetiver Pamplemousse.
I am a complete vanilla fanatic that does not like SDV. With that said, I do really like Molinard vanille as well as Serendipitous because they do not smell like SDV. For me SDV turns too woody. Seven virtues vanilla wood smells very close to SDV
Annick Goutal's Nuit Et Confidences! I so wanted to love SDV but it was way to boozy that it gave me a migraine. There was so much I else I loved about it except for the overly boozy that just didnt sit well on my skin :( Nuit Et Confidences reminds me of SDV but without the migraine as I feel it was more smokey and less boozy! Love love love watching your videos
As much as I adore guerlain I don't get the hype around Spiriteuese double Vanille...I love vanilla but this one is so light and unimpressive..maybe I need to give it another try
Not a big fan of many of those from the line. I found them too sweet. There’s a couple that aren’t so sweet that I do like. The Neroli and the new iris release.
My favorite smoky vanilla/tonka remains, till this day, van Cleef and Arpels Bois Doré, it's heavenly! Sadly I've never smelled any of the L'Art de la Matière collection. I have recently acquired La Maison de la Vanille Fleur de Madagascar, and Boucheron Vanille Zanzibar. I don't if they compare, but they're more potent that van Cleef and Arpels Orchidee Vanille.

BTW, another awesome (formerly cheapo) vanilla frag was Aeropostale Benton. almost don't want to share this because it was discontinued and the price for it on the secondary market (i.e. eBay) has shot up to $200. It was just such a good, smooth, fresh and stylish vanilla scent. I had bought a couple of bottles for $20 each when Aeropostale was clearing them out. I've never tried SDV, but intrigued to sample it after this video homage to SDV. I own the Zara Rich, Warm, Addictive. It is absolutely awesome for a $20 fragrance. Such a mesmerizing kind of warm sour boozy note in the open that is nothing like I've smelled before. Just a beautiful warm, rich and classy scent. Very safe blind but IMO for only $20 bucks.
