Always top-notch workmanship that you show us J.C. No one would ever have to think twice about the quality of work you do after it leaves your hands. Thank you for doing things right as rain.
Very Nice. As someone who just recently prepped and painted my own truck's frame and driveline....I can appreciate the incredible amount of work that goes into it.
Mrs. J.C. is a great machine operator. Takes directions very well. I like the ratchet strap on the drive shaft. I would have been under there trying to man handle it.
Nice job on the battery tray. To cushion the flat strap clamps against the batteries, you can slide a piece of bicycle inner tube over the flat strap. If you need more gentle clamping force, cult a length of fuel hose and slide it into the section of inner tube.
Great video Mr & Mrs J.C.Smith the L9000 truck is coming along nicely. Just a few more snags and then you can finish it. The battery holder looks good. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Mr & Mrs J.C.Smith.
Dear J.C. Smith projects couple. 👍👌👏 Very well done again! The more I see you working together so hard, the more I'm impressed. Not only by the fact that you are able to work together at all but also what a hard worker relatively small Misses Smith is. Kudos, hats off and Congratulations 🎉! 2) You're over the budget already with this project? You don't say! That's something new and was never heard on this channel. 😁 ;-) As always: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to both of you and Jeff.
we have our days....especially when my "3 weeks" is up on a project. i get aggravated easily. i either need to be more strict on my budget or dont have one at all because it needs what it needs.
@@j.c.smithprojects Thanks for replying and especially for giving a heart to my comment. As you know, I always and totally appreciate both very much. 2) The way you work is similar to my way. As perfectionists we are usually never able to stay in a budget or a time frame. Especially not if other people have worked on our project before. Just look at the cross threaded brass fitting and all the other badly done work. We will never be able to calculate things like that in a budget respectively a time frame. Maybe better to not have a strict budget/time frame because humans like you and me always want a result as good as even possible. Sincerely yours.
I was watching your video about that red international with the frame issue. she is a rough one! where is the last good section of main frame at? could you cut it off and weld on another frame in place?
@j.c.smithprojects she was bound for the scraper, only reason I ended up with it, I'm going to needle scale and wire wheel the frame to inspect for cracks. Hopefully I can install new L wraps and be set. The really bad section of the main is going away. It was a straight long truck turning into a short box dump body. Thanks for watching! 👍😁
@@j.c.smithprojects Awesome! This is what I had PG Adams quote. Once all the extras with freight and tax were added in it was too pricey for this truck. I have a whole semi frame I bought for one of the cabovers. Started entertaining using that ripped down, but haven't measured it out in detail / picked a solid plan. Thanks! Flange: 3 3/8” Height: 9 5/8” Length: 120” (longer would be better) Thickness: 5/16” Grade 100
if you have a section of truck frame that will work, i would cut it down and use it. vant beat that cost. for as short as you are going, if the main frame is good, i wouldnt think you need the double. that was put on primarily for the long frame and higher gvwr.
How to build cool 💩 and make sure it works the first time(after many years of finding out how you did it wrong and learned to never do it that way again)
the ole boy just made a trip to sams with us. we got our customary berry frozen yogurt. we share with him. he loves it but he doesnt like the blue berries. he will leave every one of them in his bowl and clean as a whistle.

What brilliant teamwork, keep up the brilliant standards that you both work to.
It's coming together and looking great, Smiths 😎👍
Awesome work y'all! I would love to have my wife's help sometimes lol.

I like the battery box. Never would have thought of something so simple. You make learning fun.
Can't wait to see it roll out of the shop looks good

i find if i dont set both budget on cost and time, they turn into a total resurrection.
looking good!
Hi JC thank you for sharing 🤗
Nice job with the frame
"It's 40 degrees, It warmed up today" WOW.
been in the negatives and single digits for a long time. 28 felt good.
Looking great 👍🏻
Good work as always
A guy I worked with had a sign made for his roller cabinet.
It said, "Just waiting on parts"
i try to stay ahead of the curve but sometimes, life just happens. im going to have to work on something else while we wait.
Great work
Looks great!
Where can I find an exterior sun visor for a L8000?

Ready, set, go.
Couple bolts n tires away from rolling it out of the shop! 👍😁

21:01 great MILLER performance !
it was the one with 030 in it. not sure where that wire came from but i dont use it very often.
The axles and drive line are almost show quality. Ill bet they never looked that nice when it came off the line.
oh no. the camera makes them look better than they are.
Anything for the Cargostar on the schedule?
working through some ideas. might be bringing folks in to be part of it again.
Wish you had shown us the lengthening of driveshaft and proper angles.
didnt lengthen them. everything went back to its original location. have other video showing that.
Hurry up and wait.
What is the truck going to be used for
zacklift

i dont know if it was editing but it looked like the drive shaft was not in faze..
You aren't go a paint it!!! Sure. If it's temporary... Maybe. Isn't Jeff due for a cameo???
the ole boy just made a trip to sams with us. we got our customary berry frozen yogurt. we share with him. he loves it but he doesnt like the blue berries. he will leave every one of them in his bowl and clean as a whistle.
It would seem that "leave unpainted" is tantamount to blasphemy.
Looks amazing keep it up buddy
