@@Huff_ not when you maintain like a freak. Oil changed every 3k or year. Coolant changed every other year. Brake fluid I'm on the 3rd flush. Rear gear oil changed 2 years ago, might have 1500 miles on it. So that special sludge has no time to form in any of my 7 vehicles as they are all maintained the same way.
I used to drive a 2004 Ford Mustang GT 40th anniversary, not exactly the fastest thing out there, but they look and sound cool for relatively cheap. I understand that some people dont like these because of people that give these a bad reputation. They are just fun cruisers to me with just enough power to get you out of a pinch. The cars back end likes to swing out prematurely if pressing on the gas.

I've got an 07 Mustang GT with a Rousch "Outlaw" cosmetic package. 160k miles on it, and it's still a beautiful car that I love driving. Been very well maintained. Never ragged on. I plan on putting a whole lot more miles on it.
Mustang have always sounded good, I've got a 89 GT convertible, i get compliments all the time how good it sounds, is a stock engine, put new jba headers on it, cat delete pipes, Flowmaster 40s, replaced the air put with a pulley.
@@TheDethringI got a 06 gt with 130,000 miles got her 6 years ago when it had 87,000 miles on it w/ foose chrome 20” wheels, tokico adjustable coil overs ,sick af 3 pc. spoiler (you can’t find anymore) side louvers , it still runs strong 💪🏼 af , I have about 4-5 grand worth of suspension upgrades , and various other drive line parts including a brand new still in the box tr3650 with short shifter , brackets, 1pc driveshaft fp , big brake kit , I’d like to swap it with a coyote and make it into some sort of track or drift car …🤷🏻♂️, im working on getting a newer f150 roush 4x4 , or newer low mileage s550 with a coyote for my daily , so I can haul my motorcycles up and down the California coast from laguna seca to button willow…. Hopefully sooner than later ⏰
I've had a 99 v6 since high school (35th anniversary with custom interior and wheels) absolutely love it. Would love a v8 now but too attached to let this one go lol
For the price these 05-09 stangs are going for, I don't really think there's a better value on the market. I seriously can't think of a single car out there that is 1) As readily available 2) As well documented on forums, and supported by the aftermarket to fix or mod 3) as easy to work on 4) Sounds as good 5) Looks as nice 6) and most importantly, is as fun to drive. Like they have to be not just the best value, but arguably the best first car for someone into cars to get into. Everyone rags on them for being relatively slow nowadays, but there were the fastest car under 30k to buy at the time, 25th overall in 2005 when they release. And they're stupidly reliable, they're easy to work on, and all common issues atp have been documented and solved by a whole slew of dudes on different forums. Plus the interior, though mostly plastic, is SOLID and its so easy to put in a nice headunit and some decent speakers for a dope feeling interior.
@@samblue2323 maybe to crank up the boost but like I said you can make lots of power as long as you keep the Torque to 450RWTQ or lower. People have made 6-700 on stock internals with lower torque values that way. It’ll hold
I had 64 1/2 Mustang when I was 20 so I wanted another one so now I have the 09 Mustang it comes with everything has both electric front seat it has a glass top which is so cool I like the way they designed it has a great sound system mine has black interior and I put me a Hurst shifter which makes it like the 60s look I love my Mustang
I had one for a decade full bolt ons 4.10 gears, cams, ported heads, drag radials and a bunch of weight reduction and truthfully felt the car was still pretty slow compared to a decent ls or coyote powered car
Got x1 and a second on the way. 2005/2014 are great solid axle is best for drag racing !4.6 with boost is awesome and the 5.0 is a great engine .Doing a 5.0 swap on a 05/09 next!
Just watch out for cooling fan issues, heater hose leak under the intake manifold, 3rd gear synchro, differential leaks, timing chain tensioners, slave cylinder, and you’ll get about 60 good launches off that stock clutch lol. Not much else goes wrong with them, owned from 100k to 190k miles so far
I have had my 08 since new and only needed to replace an idler pulley and recharge the ac once. It now has 128k miles. Super reliable and I beat on it daily. Zero sludge and the oil always looks like honey. Just need to maintain them properly.
@@Helipilotgreg the only thing is 128 is not very high in miles. Around 150k is when I had the cooling fan go out and the heater hose connecter fail, both of which are not maintenance items. Slave cylinder and synchro are more about how you drive, but still all too common based on TSB and other owners reports. Timing chain tensioners are gonna fail, and gaskets are gonna degrade, all with the higher mileage. A lot of it has nothing to do with maintenance

My neighbor has a 2023 gt500 cammed with cheap azz cherry bombers on it, it literally sounds like his Exhaust is exploding when he hits it.😂 It dont sound bad its just not for the street in my opinion 🤷♂️(fk around and blow some kid hear drums on the top-gun fly-bye👉💨) .
You don’t need the best job bro, just get your credit card build your credit overtime you’ll be able to pull one out the dealership or even get a loan for one on the street especially on these cars you’ll find a good one for atleast 10-12k

They don’t have a lot of power N/A but with boost stock you can make 450RWTQ and over 500hp and more if you build it
