I just found this channel and enjoy listening / watching as I work. I also hand-quilt with small stitches, I own 2 ratcheting quilting frames that I got for a song because the former owners were so happy that they would be put to good use. I've only been at this for a short time but I am very happy with my progress in traditional blocks and hand quilting. Your work is inspirational!
Came across this video while hand piecing a traditional stars quilt. It was so relaxing to listen to you talk while we both stitched away. Looking forward to more sew with me videos.
I was amazed by your beautiful quilting. I am also a quilter and have been wanting to learn hand quilting. All of the tutorials haven't helped much. Then I ran across your page. Great work - I’ve just found you on utube - so relaxing to watch you do your work and it inspires me to keep hand sewing my hexagon grandmother’s flower garden which I’ve been doing on and off for years -I’m onto the borders now and then going to hand quilt the sandwich

I agree that you have to have goals and deadlines. I am still doing a king size grandmother’s garden quilt. The pieces are 3/4 inch. I started this over 10 years ago. Obviously, I did not work on it for several years. I recently pulled it out and decided to finish piecing the top. I am going to give myself a deadline for that portion. When it comes to hand quilting I decided to give myself another deadline. It will be interesting to see how far I get .
So very glad to find your channel. Im am a happy expectant subscriber. I too use my hands in many different hobbies, and quilting is one. I want to hand quilt my latest love. Will try to send you a pic. Any advice would be welcome.
