I love that you're collecting brushed motors It makes me sad that Traxxas is no longer selling brushed cars

You and I share the same interest in rc cars. I have almost all the same kits to be built in my collection. I also live in the Chicago suburbs. Love your channel.

Awesome! I was born and raised in the burbs, lived in Chicago for over a decade and a half, and now we're in Indy.

This list of gift ideas was really helpful when I decided to gift myself some things that I've put off buying for waaaay too long. Specifically, the calipers, the parts tray and a lexan reamer. I also bought a CRC 1/12 pan car so I'm sure all these things will be super helpful.

I have the CRC CK25. It is my favorite thing to race (even though I am not very good at it!). I race int he 21.5 GT12 class. Don't forget to pick up a set of hex drivers and nut drivers in IMPERIAL!

I like your style. I've definitely learned a bunch from you. Any recommendations for getting into the 1/12th scale pan car racing. The local track run 21t motors but I'm super new and would appreciate any tips. Thanks dude!

1/12th scale is my favorite size/class. Even though I’m not that good at it! I’m not sure how universal these classes are, but 17.5 uses the Lola (wedge-shaped) body style, and GT12 uses bodies like Lamborghinis, McLarens, etc., and 21.5 motors. I tried to do 17.5 right out of the gate and it was too intense and fast. Went to GT12 with the 21.5 motor and have been having a blast with it.
I race a CRC CK25. It is one of the least expensive of the 12th scale kits. This scale is all about set up. What’s great about everywhere you go, is that someone is going to be there that is willing to help you get to a baseline. One of the guys at my local track helped me get my initial set up and I’ve really barely touched it since.
You’ll also want to know what tires and traction compound your track allows or most people are using.
