- After over seven decades, it looks like the end is near for one of the world’s most beloved aircraft.
The Boeing 737 has dominated the skies for a generation, but its recent troubles and the rise of more efficient aircraft have cast a shadow of doubt over its ability to continue performing.
And while Boeing's rivals are pushing boundaries with cutting-edge aircraft technology, it seems that its most-sold aircraft ever has reached its life's end.
Here’s why.
The Boeing problems started when McDonnell Douglas bean counter management took over from Boeing engineers.
Nothing has changed with Boeing It's all about the money, and not saftey
I avoid airlines that fly them. Not a chance I’d get on a Max. I don’t have a death wish.
Kelly Johnson would have quite a bit to say about how Boeing is being manage today.
Problems started when the bean counters took control. How often does this happen!
Current Boeing MBAs to shareholders when they started managing Boeing. "We must run Boeing as a business to make it profitable"
Today question from shareholders. "I don't see any profitable company, rather A collapsing company"
If it's a Boeing, I ain't a going!!
Excellent vidéo
Apparently engineering needs to have more influence in decision making than the bean counters.
A total mess ..!😮
I think boeing may try a 757 MAX they could or could not but if they make a 757 MAX it could possibly beat out the A321 NEO and maybe the stretched A220 if the original 757 did quite well maybe a 757 MAX could skyrocket the 757's reputation unless it has the same issues as the 737 MAX
Anything Boeing produces with the word "MAX" attached to it is dead at the starting line.
Greed.
It’s sad to see the problems of the company I once worked for the late 70’s as a software engineer in Seattle. I never understood why the headquarters was moved to Chicago. Moving to DC was just another move that focused on government lobbying rather strengthening engineering capabilities and manufacturing processes that they badly needed.

Blended wing is more efficient
Do you think Boeing management could design such a craft? I mean the engineers don't get a say in anything so it is down to the rocket surgeons in Chicago to pull off a clean sheet design.
I'm surprised there are still engineers working for Boeing considering the company has no cred left at all. If I was at Boeing I'd be embarrassed to admit it while knocking on Lockheed's door.
finally
787 will be falling apart at the joints
The A 220-500 has a problem against the A 319 & 320, as it has higher production costs. The design is still from Canadair and is not enough optimized for production.
I love the Boeing 737 😢
