I love this first person narrative style. I love how the color commentary adds to each quest. Coupled with the perfect voice for the paladin makes a legendary tale indeed.
I miss this game Soo much.. so so so much. I miss the friends I played with at that time, I miss not paying bills and stressing about life...the era Diablo 2 was prime was the best time of my life. I didn’t realize how much this games means to me after watching the first episode that’s made.
Duriel really gave me a pressure and nightmare with his speed and aura when I facing him for the first time. Most gruesome and terrific villain in Diablo after the Butcher in my opinion.
Seeing these again makes me wonder why they changed the storytelling so dramatically for diablo 3. Hopefully diablo 4 will have more of this style! I never felt like the people in all the towns were really characters in d3, ya feel?
100% I think it's more powerful to experience terror from victims reactions vs being told something is scary. Nothing comes close to Farnhams anguished cries over the butchers carnage or Atmas mourning of her husband and son due to the abomination that is Radament, lurking beneath Lut Golhein
@@DarkLOREDash right! I felt more emotional about the radament quest, the FIRST QUEST in act ii than i did about most of the bosses in diablo 3. Azmodan was kind of neat because you felt his presence throughout the act but most of the fights had no emotional connection for me at all
Man, this is just great. I also noticed that while in town you take off your character's helmet and weapons to make him seem more considerate to the events of the story. Some very good skills of making game lore videos.

I just quit Warzone and really needed to get in touch with one of the games that made me fall in love with gaming. I have played d2 off and on over the past twenty years. Favorite game ever. I know the story all too well. With that said, I find these videos tremendously engaging and easy to watch even for someone who knows what is coming next. They are very well edited and presented. Thank you for your effort. As a kid, my friend and I didn't pay enough attention to realize that the Santuary quest tells you which tomb is correct, so we'd just check them one at a time until we got it right.

One thing I like about Lut Gholein is that the animators of the figures know how women walk: "World moves on woman's hip. World moves and it swivels and bops."

I like how he makes these act 2 monsters seem real tough and bad, but the only thing I'm scared of is a lvl 99 with ebotd and enigma trying to collect my ear.

Ohhhh just noticed the cool bit of misdirection by the writers. At this point Marius and maybe even the player would think that the Warrior is going to save Tal-Rasha because he is his brother. But nope just Diablo going there to free Baal. That's pretty cool they did it this way.

I love the Aztec vibe and creepy jungles of Act three and the rolling tainted moors of act 1. But no doubt, Lut Gohlien is the shining jewel in the middle of the game.
I was a lvl 20 barbarian, and was partnered with another lvl 20 barbarian, and we took down Duriel on nightmare on our own. It took about an hour or two, and with many deaths.

The Diablo 1 version does make sense, even if it's a cut quest. Aiden slaying Horazon and by the time of Diablo 2 the spirit of Horazon possesses the Sorcerer Jasreth.
I do wonder. Could Tal Rasha be the reason the dark wanderer implanted diablo's soulstone into his head in the first place? I mean, the DW was the prince, so it stands to reason he'd at least know something of Tal Rasha's fate.
I'd love Diablo 1 style side stories in different locations with contradictory lore to show the human nature of embellishment (we won that battle with no casualties! But only 5% actually returned) Not every game has to be a sprawling epic.

The 3D city is amazing, I hope you do this for the Rogue encampment (might take some re-editing) and for the future bases of operation!
