Impressive. It sometimes does not immediately accelerate . Is this due to sensorless commutation? I think it’s not an issue and my engine choice would be definitely without hallsensors but it’s interesting to see. Thumbs up for your impressive work and thanks for sharing!!!! Cheers
In theory sensored combo should perform better under such conditions. After many problems with that cheap ESC you see in the video I upgraded to the HobbyWing MAX10 sensorless combo. Although on paper their specifications look similar, both without sensors, the difference is like night and day in favour of MAX10. I think it's thanks to the clever algorithms implemented in the ESC and perhaps better quality of the electronic components. Efficiency went up drastically, too. No overheating issues at all. I'll probably buy a sensored combo someday for testing but for now I recommend mid-range HobbyWing SL combos to start with. Thanks! 🙂
