    Hybrid isn't offered in Australia either but I ordered my 1.2L turbo petrol yesterday. Our top range version does come with LED lights all around though.

    It's strange that in the Aussie spec car there is no step up when the seats are lowered - it's completely flat (it has the same space saver spare).

    It's more like differences in color aren't between Petrol and Hybrid, but between Luna and Sol packages

      Yes that true the Luna Sport has the blue trim, I should have elaborated on that.

    Thanks for video. In the US we have to wait until late spring and will only have the petrol version. Do you have any complaints so far?

    • @ShanesAutos
      @ShanesAutos  7 лет назад

    Does the 1.2 turbo model have a digital Speedometer? Have got used to that on my Megane. Great video.

    first id like to thank you for the review .
    1- did u try above 120 kmh ? did you find it sluggish in highway ? its hard for me to believe that 1.2 turbo is enough for a car with ~ 1350 KG
    2- what do you think about the A/C in summer (motorways ) with 120-30 kmh ?
    thank you

    • @ShanesAutos
      @ShanesAutos  7 лет назад

      parsa kzm well I only got to 110kmh in it, the fastest you can go in Ireland is 100kmh

    Any storage option in boot for spare wheel?

    great review Shane, it's a lovely car but why doesn't it have the LED headlamps, LED rear lights and LED fogs. once again we get the inferior version to what our neighbours get in their top spec models. Bad form Toyota. it's the little touches that give more appeal to a car like this.

      James Kinnane thank you. I don't know, Toyota are a bit weird with some of the features in their cars lately.

      Shane Earley thanks for the quick response. Yeah, Toyota just need to catch up with the competition in terms of features. I found the 1.2 to just about to be competent, hardly sporty though. They definitely should have added a diesel 2 litre d4d., would be great in this car. Apparently Toyota will be phasing out diesels as an option over the next few years. Shame if true, but at least give it a punchy petrol option.

    • @ShanesAutos
      @ShanesAutos  7 лет назад +1

      James Kinnane yeh it could use the diesel, as I said the 1.2 is alright but you need to rev it out to get any power from it

    Looking at the trip I see 10 L/100km that's 28 miles to the gallon surely it can't be that hard on petrol

    Even though the Kia Soul would be a smarter choice. Being smart is boring. This car is nicer.
