- Massive explosions at a military ammunitions depot in Ukraine forced authorities to close airspace and evacuate the surrounding area. Emergency services said one person was injured in the powerful blast, which could be seen more than 150 miles away.

Some folks ask here, why the cameramen have a tripod to shot it? The answer will be just because it's firing too long so he have enough time to prepare.
The explosion at the ukrainian ammo depots are not such a rare thing, you know. When some bigstar's military thiefs sold some ammo to Africa or Middle East and then the inspection suddenly should to came, often some "russian FSB operatives" blown up the depot just before. Nothing special in real.

My first questions are why were the cameras rolling as this went off as they would have had to have been to catch the explosion shown on screen? Who was filming and what were they supposedly expecting to capture on film?

It took about 13.5-14 seconds between the explosion and the sound to reach the camera. That's about three miles (or 5km) away.

And the wave came for timings 00:13 - 00:14. 330*13 = 4290 meters. 330*14 = 4620 meters. I take the average value between these two numbers. This value is 4455 meters, that is, about 4.5 km, which is what I wrote about. And your claims are groundless.

@@twixxtro they are usually used in LMGs to know where are u aiming and where are your shoots landing, 1 round every 5 or so. Very usefull at night where the muzzle flash of the barrell is going to reveal your position anyway
