There are many ways of consoling someone going through a soul searching moment of one's life. As Sharpe clearly demonstrates, one way utilizes the wedding tackle.
Riding up directly alongside the enemy, alerting them to your presence, instead of taking them by surprise from the unprotected rear. That’s cavalry-ing.
Everytime it seems the French have Sharpe by the balls, they always decide to not press their advantage. Especially in close combat. Hell, even the British Yeomanry did the same thing and they only advanced on the trot when they could have charged and ran the Rifles down.
So...if I want a woman to fall into my arms, I just wait until she shoots some poor bugger with a musket in a period skirmish, is grief stricken about her actions in a relatively secluded spot in the woods and wants to "make new life" presumably to compensate for the one she just snuffed out. Oh, and I have to be a blond-haired superhero with tight buns and a Yorkshire accent. Pretty specific stuff, but I'll run with it.
Those french soldiers in blue and yellow uniforms have been appearing on the show since the first episode. They are always shown to use curved light cavalry sabers. The funny thing is that these are LANCER uniforms, yet they never use a single lance.
“Oh no I just killed someone” *starts crying intensely, mother nearby, public place, group of people around that may walk over any moment, French cavalry that might come back once they’ve reformed* “eh I mean he is 90’s Sean Bean” *starts taking off clothes* 😂😂😂 this scene just can’t be taken seriously
I'm not quite sure what the point is of Pat having that volley gun if, when faced with a massed formation, he carefully fires it at a single cavalryman.
Even though Sharpe teaches to shoot the officers and NCOs first, there is a greater need to fire at the closest target and the bigger threat. Cavalry are the enemy of light infantry, if they were picking targets they would be dead sooner than that
@@SantomPh Yes, I can understand that, and if it was me I would probably shoot the biggest threat to me, but once the melie stated that officier would have been prime as the rest would most likely bug out once he was down. I still love this show, and I do know it is just a show, but I do like to point out things they did wrong.
If some had fired earlier they would have had a few seconds to reload. This does seem a little weak compared to the cavalry charge at the bridge in the second episode which slaughtered them all after they fired at the French infantry.
Yeah, there's usually a lot of crying and sobbing involved when I make out with a girl too. Usually just having to fend off hobos rather than French soldiers before hand though.
She wondered what the man's name was and where he came from; and if he was really evil of heart, or what lies or threats had led him on the long march from his home; and if he would not really rather have stayed there in peace.
