I think middle tree sunbreaker might play into the whole melee aspect of the build a little better. Also pair that with a trench barrel/one two punch wastelander and you’re golden.
For PvE- With a 1-2p Kinetic like Wastelander you can just ignore your secondary altogether. Like- Path of Burning Steps is cool and all. But Synthos or Dunemarchers instantly makes whatever your energy slot is irrelevant unless it's also a 1-2p shotty. But I do get that this *is* a BXR showcase
as a titan main, i agree. Ehroar doesnt know much about melees as if you use Wormgod with middle tree solar, its ezpz gameplay im triggered he used sunspots instead of middle tree for melees
@@johnnymodz5516 His Solar Titan build is grenade focused, not melee - look at his well mods. He's using the sunspot damage buff because it stacks w/ Burning Steps and Font of Might for more BXR Damage.
I love how they named it after the bxr melee cancel into a shot which used to insta kill in halo 2. Blunt execution rounds is basically a throw back to this.

For the hunter build, I recommend switching the exotic to hunters cowl, and use the mod heavy handed for increased knife throws. At 3 stacks your knife delay is near instant, so you might as well get health, shield and invisible for reviving allies on melee kill. You get charged with light every time you pick up a well, which happens every melee kill :)
Got the demo/junkie version. However I got the tracer with subsistence/tricore that could be a particular fun weapon for solar builds that can spam abilites.
A cool build we be if you went with top tree solar titan with max strength because you can get that Tempered Metal buff from your shoulder charge and with the Blunt rounds, you can probably 1 shot majors. Then you could have either melee kickstart, or you can have Focusing Strike on your gloves to pair with double Outreach on the class item, with max resilience.
Blunt execution rounds with athrys embrace and a 1-2 punch wastelander is pretty nasty. Blade barrage is nice in lower level content but Athrys beats it harder content when less enemies are gonna die to the fan of knives. Golden gun is also just a straight up better super than blade barrage.

Hey, IDK if you have this in the works already, but I would really like to see the difference in DPS while using the new sword perk Duelist's Trance. Obv it will be less total dmg output because you're giving up Relentless Strikes, but the charge time is quicker so you should be able to get more heavy attacks done in a shorter amount of time, right? The numbers and your opinion on it are things that I would really like to see. Keep up the awesome work!
I was playing around with the Wastelander with One-Two Punch and the Blunt Execution Rounds in PVE. Shotgun kill -> Melee -> BR shot isn't amazing damage, but it's fun to do
I have one with Arrowhead Break, Steady/Accurized rounds, and Demo/Adrenaline Junkie, only thing its missing is a Stability or Range MW instead of the Handling one that I got
Literally the second roll I got was perpetual motion and blunt execution rounds. Doesn’t have arrowhead brake to make it a perfect 100 recoil direction but it at least has chambered compensator to push it towards 100.
Blunt Execution Rounds trigger if you melee an enemy while an enemy is within 15 meters of you. The target hit by your melee doesn't need to be within that 15 meters. Let's say there's a thrall frozen or stuck in a piece of terrain, you can hurl a shuriken or knife at a distance enemy and proc BER and attack long range targets with the Battler's incredible range and accuracy.
YES!!! About time someone talked about the BR x Burning Steps combo! I have 2 BR's I am absolutely in love with! A Demolitionist x Killclip Roll (This combined with Firewalker is NUTS!) & then a Killing Wind x Blunt Execution Rounds version, I have a couple others put away with perks like Rangefinder, EOTS, but the 2 I mentioned are just leaps & bounds better! I've played around with Sunbracers, Necrotic Grips & Dawn Chorus with my Warlock, haven't really touched my Hunter as I have a Golden Tricorn version of the new Trace Rifle that's equally insane haha but I can definitely see Blade Barrage being diiiiirrrrrty with the BR!
You could also try using that Infinite trip mine grenade build with blunt execution, demolitionist, melee Dodge, and young ahmkaras spine and throw infinite grenades, melees, etc.
Remember how bungie said they removed burn solar grenades counting as necrotic grip, well earlier this week it still procced the poison from a grenade kill.???

Can you review this again now that solar 3.0 is out? I feel like I’ve found a banger with blunt execution rounds and demo. The options for solar melees and getting font of might going has been making each bullet in the burst go for about 18k. Special weapon territory. Haven’t even tried it with path of burning steps on titan, but that’s probably insane, too.
I've been using this weapon with Young ahamkara's spine and mid tree blade barrage this past week, and I've got to say that it's the most fun I've had in a while in pve. Chucking trip mine nades that deals 26k damage at champions (legend NF) is so much and the fact that I can loop it is just plain busted I found myself chunking majors with this build. I haven't even tried it with withering heat yet but I assume that it'll maybe deal around ~30k per nade on top of the knives' 3k (x3). Definitely one of my favorite builds this season. How to use it: Throw nade > Throw Melee > One tap with Bxr > Dodge (gamblers) > Throw Melee > Repeat step 1
ive been using blunt exec and killing wind on my titan and hunter so i can be speedy. my warlock has demo and kill clip as ive not been fortunate enough to get aj with demo yet. both have arrowhead break for 100 recoil, ricochet rounds and range masterworks. this gun is so nice.
My god roll is perpetual motion, blunt execution, high cal, and any barrel that buffs stability with a stability masterwork. Make this thing as Halo as it can get.
it’s a good workhorse roll. but honestly the gun can do better with the BeXR’s in my opinion. that bigger burst of damage is more useful for me on this weapon than Kill Clip, which can roll on basically anything. BeXR’s is unique to this weapon, that’s why I’d go for that instead of Kill Clip. but grab both! nothing preventing you from running both of them lol
I am torn on this or my perfect grid skipper. With the full auto mode that gride skipper feels amazing. I do thing using this on titan may be better though with my path of burning steps. Could using middle tree work as well for ease of throwing hammers for blunt? The perk combo i have atm that i love is a perpetual motion and blunt. It feels really good for running and gunning. Pair with a blinding GL, and for me either gally or heir apparent as my exotic of choice to also work with my path of burning steps. Leaning heir because that gun just feels so good

this is cool but the vex build for titan is still the most op build I've ever seen vex turns into a max damage machine gunbasically 1 shooting everything

One two punch, the Hunter combination blow-deadly reach-liar's handshake, and then swap to one two punch and cycle that over and over. Or a Titan with hammer throws and synthoceps. Using that one second delay between hammer throws you could use that burst in between shotgun shots for 1-2 punch, and hammer throws and just absolutely wreck shit.
All we need now is a perk that acts like demolitionist but for melee (kinda like the Monte Carlo perk minus the chance to fully restore the ability). Imagine a weapon like that but it can roll with Swashbuckler

I opened over a 100 chests, but finally, today, I got one with Demo + Blunt Execution, worth it.
I got mine on my tenth BR, but i don't know how many sources was that. Six Hours of playing Dares probably????

Bountiful wells makes it so you can stack something like elemental ordinance, it doesn’t just double the amount of wells you get.
