I think this album has songs, from different era's of kanye, and even when he's going for newer sounds he's mostly stuck with the modern trap sounds. It's mostly because he wants to be on the mainstream again, so that people can understand he's not out of touch yet. And tbf, Kanye stopped being listener friendly from Yeezus. From here on then his side has always been "He'll give us what we need. It may not be what we want". Personally for me Vultures has been easy to listen to, it's obviously no MBDTF, but i don't think there are too many "skips" in the album for me atleast.

People who aren’t impressed from Vultures are looking for J Cole or a Kendrick Lamar lyrics. ¥e’s new direction in this album is a collab of experimental genre + high profile artists. And for those who say the album is a mess, it crescendo down the album to peak at Carnival and it ends triumphantly. IMO it’s meant to be a fun album. I believe his anti-Semitic remarks are to create a stir and push the needle in a controversial way. He plays into his ego and makes money from it. I enjoyed the vultures the first listen, but kanye’s parts honestly got less entertaining and more degrading after the first listen. This is really just a one listen album.
Side Note: after the 7th listen I deleted the album and just started bumping Action Bronson’s Mr. wonderful album.

Vultures maybe isnt the greatest, but its not the worst either. Its an ok album, few tracks are pretty good, but i agree that its one of the worst albums in his discography.

I think this album has songs, from different era's of kanye, and even when he's going for newer sounds he's mostly stuck with the modern trap sounds. It's mostly because he wants to be on the mainstream again, so that people can understand he's not out of touch yet.
And tbf, Kanye stopped being listener friendly from Yeezus. From here on then his side has always been "He'll give us what we need. It may not be what we want". Personally for me Vultures has been easy to listen to, it's obviously no MBDTF, but i don't think there are too many "skips" in the album for me atleast.

And for most songs the biggest blunder are their lyrics but personally i never liked or cared about kanye's lyrics, for me its the production, the vibe the "epicness" that he brings to most songs and this album definitely does just that. Vultures is a project not a pure Kanye album. Mainstream music hasn’t been about the bars for most artists. It’s been about the production and this album flows.
People who aren’t impressed from Vultures are looking for J Cole or a Kendrick Lamar lyrics. ¥e’s new direction in this album is a collab of experimental genre + high profile artists.
And for those who say the album is a mess, it crescendo down the album to peak at Carnival and it ends triumphantly.
IMO it’s meant to be a fun album. I believe his anti-Semitic remarks are to create a stir and push the needle in a controversial way. He plays into his ego and makes money from it. He likes to go against the grain and people love it or hate it. He didn’t need to do it to be relevant but it’s cool to see him throw his reputation on the line over and over. He’s an entertainer
