my spanish teacher just told us "these are reflexive verbs" and gave us a worksheet without telling us how to use them so this was very helpful thanks!
In the wake of COVID 19 and working insane hours your video is going to save me time, which feels very limited with a 1 year old! ¡ Muchísimas gracias a Cyber Profe!
This is a great video! I really like the trick I learned from you about using @ instead of writing both "vosotros" and "vosotras" out in full. One note - On the slide where you have the stem-changing verbs listed, you have misspelled the verb "despertarse," putting an "a" after the "p." It should be an "e," as it is an e-->ie stem-changing verb. Gracias.
OMG, where were you in Spanish 2 when I needed you? I remember being so confused when my teacher tried to explain it but you make it make sense. I like how your voice is calm. That helps me.
'Muchos gracias! Eso ayuda mucho con me intento aprender Espanol!' I think! Reflexive verbs are very confusing to me and doesn't come naturally. This is very helpful in clarifying the principles. I really like the structure to your video too. Thanks!
I love your video and it explains this topic very well. I did notice that there is a spelling error in the verb to wake up, it should be despertarse not despartarse.
Thank you so much!!! I was struggling with this all week and it finally clicked that I add the reflexive pronoun AND conjugate the ar/er/ir verb (after removing se). Thank you thank you thank you. ❤
Great video!! I have a question. I was working with reflexive verbs an I was getting the hang of it. Then I came across this sentence, "Después de levantarme, me afeito la cara". Why wouldn't this sentence be "despues de me levanto" ?
Because of how we translate it. =) As an English speaker, I'll translate "me gusta" as "I like it" but it really means "me (to me) gusta (this is pleasing)." So me gusta means "to me it is pleasing", te gusta means "to you it is pleasing", nos gusta means "to us it is pleasing" and le gusta means "to him or to her it is pleasing." That's why it doesn't change!
When can we use these verbs in infinitive form ? I'd love to get some examples. I'm a bit puzzled even why we need infinitive form - most of those are just regular verbs that are used in a peculiar reflexive way. Can any verb be reflexive under right cirunstances? Please clarify.
Examples: Es difícil levantarse a las 7 de la mañana. Las montañas pueden verse desde lejos. Mi madre va a comerse las frutas. These are just a few examples where reflexive verbs are used in their infinitive form.
Thank you for this video. However my Spanish friends say that 'cepillo mis dientes' is also correct, even if 'me cepillo los dientes' might be more common.
My teacher really Cant teach today is the first time I here all this words in spanish first off all sthe thinks we will magicaly know what it means and then she pretends as if im not right for the school because I didn't understand what she wanted from me

This is the best reflexive verb explanation I've ever seen. It's simple, effective, and covers all the important points. GRACIAS
¡Por Fin! I listened to the explanation, did the exercises, got 6 out of 6. Never understood Spanish reflexive verbs before. so thank you!

tip: when you are saying "that helps (me) a lot with x" you don't need the me, as in English

Estudio espanol en mi escuela, y este video es muy bueno para mi. Muchas gracias !. 🙏
thank you so much!! this really helped!! Trying to learn Spanish online is a struggle so thank you!!
I love your video and it explains this topic very well. I did notice that there is a spelling error in the verb to wake up, it should be despertarse not despartarse.
Thank you! Sadly, RUclips makes it hard to fix things like that. I'd have to take down the whole video and repost with a new link.
appreciate it big time, had a hard time understanding, great easy examples and good pacing. Thanks!!!
Thank you so much!!! I was struggling with this all week and it finally clicked that I add the reflexive pronoun AND conjugate the ar/er/ir verb (after removing se). Thank you thank you thank you. ❤
I love it and I need it. Thanks!
You're welcome!
I love this! however the verb Despertar was misspelled correct spelling is DESPERTARSE at 3:11 mark . You are the best to explain these though
Thanks for the compliment! I wish I could fix that without taking the whole video down but RUclips won't let me. lol
You have very great way of explaining (along with a great/sweet voice).
Gracias.

Ong I learned more than what my teacher could teach 💀💀
It's crazy how this person can switch between such a smooth Spanish and English accent.
fr
smooth spanish? srry but no. Like its good, much better than other native English speakers, but i wouldnt call it smooth.
@@FireMaster-or6lo yeah but its just cool how the accent changes so much
Thanks for the compliment! I work hard at making sure my Spanish sounds good but I was always have a bit of an American accent. =)
Thanks!

This is awesome!
Thank you!
Question, why when we say me gusta or te gusta why doesn’t the gusta change?
Because of how we translate it. =) As an English speaker, I'll translate "me gusta" as "I like it" but it really means "me (to me) gusta (this is pleasing)." So me gusta means "to me it is pleasing", te gusta means "to you it is pleasing", nos gusta means "to us it is pleasing" and le gusta means "to him or to her it is pleasing." That's why it doesn't change!
Great video-help gracias!
I've never considered the pronoun clarification, but it makes sense when you consider it conversationally
