Yeah, the Channel 4 producers probably looked at the BBC's QI which is brilliantly creative in combining comedy and quiz, and decided to create their own version.
+John Munro I would say it's the funniest UK show after The Last Leg. When that show is on form, especially with the right guest, there's nothing funnier.
Only thing I want more from this is that they adapt it to other quizzes/game shows as well, even if it's a one-off.
Joe losing it and saying "the most unnecessary joke" kills me every time I see this.
When Joe finds a joke unnecessary, it's definitely unnecessary.

I saw this full episode when it was available in the states, and it was one of the first times I had ever watched a panel show, and after that "gloryhole" joke I was completely hooked. Fucking unbelievable, american TV hasn't made me laugh that hard ever.

Well it has it's moments but I enjoy American tv too which is shown a lot here but not enough, I'd love to see Saturday Night Live.
And aside from stand up comedy a lot of British TV is pretty boring. British Sitcoms were way better years ago in between the 70s and late 90s (and a little bit in the 2000s) Doctor Who is pretty great but it's lost it a bit now.

What I love most about the Glory Hole joke is you can tell it was just Jimmy Carr being himself. I doubt it was scripted. I think he just improvised. Because it's almost said under his breath. It's hilarious.
