That was some rockin music cheers from New Zealand and that's our flag the Aussie one has a big star under the union jack because they like to talk loud and show off us kiwis just get it done. 😁🇬🇸👍
I’ve done a lot of research on the use of weld through primer. Zinc based is the better option, rather than copper based. Also, it is not supposed to be used as a primer on open areas. Only between mating surfaces on flanges. It doesn’t have good adhesion on open areas and will affect the ability of other coatings to stick. I guess in enclosed areas it’s better than nothing, but it is wasting money. Just use a regular paint in there. Also, if it is going to be used only on mating flanges as intended, it is far easier to apply to the localized area in a brush-on formulation, rather than by aerosol.
I've been watching your videos for awhile now - living vicariously through them as I have a chronic illness that inhibits me from doing it in person anymore. I just want to say how much I am enjoying them and am starting to watch them with my grandson who is training to be a welder in hopes that he gets bitten by the hot rod fabrication bug as i was at his age. I was fortunate enough to be involved in a few high quality builds in my day - If only this platform existed in those days...who's to say what skills I could have mastered. The hand shaping tool building series is fabulous - keep up the good work. I'm not sure if you have to distance yourself from "fans" but it would be great to look you up next time I'm out visiting family in Chilliwack.
You never cease to amaze me, Karl. Love ya work Mate & I may not comment every time but I watch whatever you post every time. Billy J.. Down under here in OZ.
RUclips what the rust was doing a junkyard walkthrough Lincoln zephyr still left there and that junkyard private this is our knorr's keep up the good work brother
Hey, when Brent is in town you guys are more than Welcome to drop down to Seattle for a short visit. I’ll throw some stuff on the BBQ. Bring your raincoats. Enjoy your talent and skills as always.
C-clamps with stuff welded to them, whatever it takes to get the job done! When i want to trim my sanding discs, spin it up and use my utility knife to cut the backing. Maybe sketchy.
Wow! So, much knowledge and critical thinking, involved! From the welding knowledge, to the metal shaping. Takes a brilliant mind, to understand how to do this! It, comes easy to Mr. Fisher. He, makes it look easy! Thank you, for the upload! Thumbs up, as always.
At 15:39 we can see sparks at the inside of the upper corner of the windshield opening, through a cut that I didn't see you weld up. You may have missed it. I love how the project is progressing. Keep up the great videos. Thanks Carl.
There was a '41 Zephyr coupe, dk blue, at the Pomona Swap Meet in Cali this weekend for $72K. It was a nice car. It just had "cool" oozing out from everywhere ! They're beautiful.
This is just an idea, not a correction! Keep it in mind for future projects, if you aren't already… Hinge-less doors. There will be hinges, of course, but hidden hinges, from a modern car. Maybe just the new style & 100% homemade, or cut&paste from the junkyard. The stock hinges interupt the visual flow of most curvy old cars.
Yea you are not the first to say that for sure. I do agree that they would be even more sleek. I find some Beauty in the manufacturing of all parts and appreciate this particular car for its originality and historic value. Might sound funny because I cut it up lol
I love watching you create. I also love watching Brent from Halfass Customs do his thing too. You each have your own unique way of doing things. You’re more articulate and he’s more apt to just wing it. But you both are amazing artists , sculptors , and fabricators. I also watch Rat Rod Bob. He has his own way of achieving the end result. Keep up the great work my man.
What I enjoy watching, is your work; your toolcraft (I think I just coined a new word) "hand-tool fabrication," instructional videos on shaping using hand tools or your project work, where your creativity mind is most on display. ( I know, I sound like some kinda art critique or something but, I really appreciate your work).
Just wanted to say that you're a very pleasant person to listen to, and you take some stress out of my otherwise, difficult life. Carry on. You even made me buy Cubitron discs.
Fantastic workmanship, Karl. I've almost watched your entire video library, and by far, this one is up there, in my top 10 list of your better entertaining videos. I love the way you explain in simple detail what, why, and how you will end up with a great looking project. Can't wait for the next instalment. Will it be the roof or trunk? TTFN from a brother across the pond. 🤘🇬🇧
Hey Karl, Great attention to detail on the fit snd finish of the doors. Those gaps are so consistent. Lincoln would be proud of the work you've done. Thanks for the TIG tutorial. You make it look easy. I love the way the lines flow on the Zephyr. Thanks again and we'll see you next time.
Karl that is looking great and is my favorite one to follow along with the big truck . There are only two things i would do different and only because I have been know to loose or damage parts on my projects . I would remove all gauges , box them up and store them in a safe place until it was painted . The other is remove the complete steering column just to get it out of my way . Oh and it's great to know Brent will be back to help work on the truck . My other favorite show " Half Ass Kustoms " . Hopefully they are putting metal on his new shop by now .
The weld thru primer on the inside structure is a great idea. Did you spray weld thru primer on the underside of the panel you made. Hard to tell in the video..... Beautiful welding!
Awesome once again! 🔥🔥🔥 I like seeing vids that show you “steering” the piece flush as you move along, like on the lower part of the post cap. I think people often feel they must have everything locked into place just to tack when in reality you can have it flapping in the breeze and steer the piece flush as you move along with zero high/low. Love seeing that every time!
Your zephyr is going to be one of kind. And pretty sure that’s was your intention. Masterful Job chopping this car. Beautiful work Karl. Thanks for sharing your work and talents. 💯👍
I have been trying to tig weld with my new 255 Primeweld for the last couple months and I have been failing, until today I realized my regulator was not fully opened (the valve was not cranked open) and it turns out I do know how to tig weld after all. It is amazing what the proper argon flow can do.
Been watching your videos and have been humbled into accepting that I should strive to be at your level and also realized I could only dream to be that good. You are so meticulous in your work. Well done sir. I applaud you.
Hey buddy, you do phenomenal work. Your attention to detail is like no other. I do have vertigo and it's hard for me to watch time-lapse videos I do push through it to watch you work. Thank you for all the great content take care God bless
Awesome you are spending so much time teaching folks. If there is ever a class where you spend time fixing/repairing a dented rusted junker I am in. I have a family farm truck with sentimental value that I’m gonna fix one of these days using stuff I have learned from you.
Excellent work as usual and the timing for your fitment and welding tips couldn't be better. I have to put new rocker panels on my trusty (and rusty) 2004 Dakota soon.
I'm learning a lot from your videos, but I only have one project and it's almost done, I would like to see you finish one before moving to another. I don't get to watch all the time I have other work to do so time is a bit limited between my work and projects.
I love your work, the patience, common sense, and persistance that you apply for such fine results. Been watching this build now for quite awhile and I'm beginning to wonder if it needs to be a 5 window design. I think the tail end is going to be "way" too long now that I'm seeing the door frames. I hope you don't take this as a critical dig, but I'm an 80 yr old former industial designer, and my eyes are telling me you need to extend the cabin a bit to play well with that looong frame.
The '39 3-window coupe was "long in the tail" when designed. The top chop just makes it look even more "odd". For what its worth, all of the Zephyr 3-window designs, regardless of year (1937-1939) had this same feature - a long tail vs the cabin size.
Stunning fab work and artistry! Again, thank you for the incredible content explaining the thought and process behind the work. Go Japhands, keep moving forward!
Man, this car will not only be sleek and sexy, but solid and as safe as this generation of car can be! Solid effort!
That was some rockin music cheers from New Zealand and that's our flag the Aussie one has a big star under the union jack because they like to talk loud and show off us kiwis just get it done. 😁🇬🇸👍

Dicey close to that steering wheel Karl! Very steady hands!

Karl it's great to see you make that 4dr conform to the picture in your mind.
C-clamps with stuff welded to them, whatever it takes to get the job done!
When i want to trim my sanding discs, spin it up and use my utility knife to cut the backing. Maybe sketchy.
Can't recommend that class enough. There's something deeply satisfying about shaping metal to your whims.
Thanks for the recommendation!
Beautiful fab job on that pillar , you the man !!!!😊

Yay another episode of batman and robin
Great score on the deck lid! Can't wait to see it sat on there, bro!
That car will be very nice. great design, and with a low roof like that, perfect.
I love watching you create. I also love watching Brent from Halfass Customs do his thing too. You each have your own unique way of doing things. Wayne Allman is a cool guy. Glad you two could connect.
super finesse manuality Karl 👍👌
Car is coming out really good I like tell you did all the welding fabrication to the doorpost awesome work
Your doing great work building that cool old car. Keep up the great work.
nicely done there karl
I'm happy that you're happy
Beautiful work Karl
Enjoy the way your showing so many details, Its obvious chopping a roof is just a short afternoon job!

You make that tag look so easy. I like watching you work.
Mr Make it Custom , another master class of method and technic Just a joy to watch , lovin' it . Regards Rob.
Very nice! Attention to details.

Love when you and B work on stuff... so cool!! TV show in the making!!
Looks good to me
Excellent work….
great to see this build coming a long
Artistry!!
I wish I watched this stuff before I welded my flares on the escort. Wasn't too bad but could have done with some of your tips.
Awesome craftsmanship. Great job Karl.
Another video chock full of entertainment and information as usual. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing 👍😀
Your work is amazing brother! And your sound tracks are always killer too!

Very neat Mr. Fisher, love the steady progress on this build 🙂

All I can say is “WOW”
Glad your doing this comparison on the same parts Karl ! Gives us an exact look at what the two different processes can achieve on the same work.
Your zephyr is going to be one of kind. And pretty sure that’s was your intention. Masterful Job chopping this car. Beautiful work Karl. Thanks for sharing your work and talents.
💯👍
Thanks terry!

Awsome work.
Dude! The patience and skill is off the charts. Not much else to say. Just helping the algorithm.
And I saw that trouble with the first fusion weld. That’s always near impossible but you got it!
Haha ya it’s like if they are not pressed directly against one another, they won’t jump across
Excellent workmanship.👍
Always great work!! That car is gonna be nice!! Cool to hear you and Brent will be doing more!
Been watching your videos and have been humbled into accepting that I should strive to be at your level and also realized I could only dream to be that good. You are so meticulous in your work. Well done sir. I applaud you.
Would have like to see you do gas weld on that pillar
Looking great!
Great work Karl Coming along well
Hey buddy, you do phenomenal work. Your attention to detail is like no other. I do have vertigo and it's hard for me to watch time-lapse videos I do push through it to watch you work. Thank you for all the great content take care God bless
Karl, our family loves your video's!
Keep up your amazing talents!
Thanks!
Awesome you are spending so much time teaching folks. If there is ever a class where you spend time fixing/repairing a dented rusted junker I am in. I have a family farm truck with sentimental value that I’m gonna fix one of these days using stuff I have learned from you.
Awesome ! That would be a fun event!
Excellent work as usual and the timing for your fitment and welding tips couldn't be better. I have to put new rocker panels on my trusty (and rusty) 2004 Dakota soon.
realy nice work!!❤
Man I would love to take your class Carl
Beautiful work as always Karl 😎
I'm learning a lot from your videos, but I only have one project and it's almost done, I would like to see you finish one before moving to another. I don't get to watch all the time I have other work to do so time is a bit limited between my work and projects.
Great work, as always. Keep 'em coming, love the content, and I learn something everytime.
Beautiful work as always Karl!
I have to say that you are doing a great job
What angle grinder attachment are you using @20:41? And where can you get them?
Another great video, thanks!
I love your work, the patience, common sense, and persistance that you apply for such fine results. The 2 door was way out of proportion from factory, they looked like a after thought.
Another great video! It's all about the details and you do that so well!! Take care!
Great stuff! You never cease to inspire me!
Good looking stuff Karl! Amazing work, I'm just mesmerized by watching what you do. 👍
