But there's a special bonus scene about Soren at the end.
Key Notes:
- The scene before Soren's ending given out is an extra only achieved if you did these requirements in your second playthrough:
1) Made Soren fight Micaiah in Part III Chapter 7.
2) Chose not to kill Pelleas in Part III Chapter 13.
3) Made Soren fight Pelleas in Part III Endgame.
4) Soren and Pelleas both survive until the end of the game (assumed to have brought both of them into the Endgame).
- ...And as for the last true scene, Sephiran / Lehran must have been recruited and survived the Endgame. If he does, the credits' song will change.

This is an old ass video but I recently got this ending for Soren as well and have to comment on the subtle character development we see for Almedha here. Upon seeing her true son she no longer feels the compulsion to try and compensate for her loss by being overbearing and obnoxiously protective/possessive of someone (literally anyone). She doesn't even care to bother Soren with a simple "Hey I'm your mom" or try to establish any sort of relationship, she just lets him go live his life. That's pretty amazing from her considering how selfish we saw her with Pelleas, and it shocks me to see people express disappointment at how this played out just because Soren doesn't find out about his lineage, when it's honestly the best outcome for both characters.
Very very late, but after owning this game for 15 years I finally played it through to get the Soren special ending and finished yesterday. Your comment did make me appreciate the ending in a new way as I was a bit dissapointed regarding it when I first saw it. Mostly because I wanted Soren to realise that he was loved and he was wanted because rejection, especially by laguz which lead to his intense hatred of them, was such a prominent thing in his character arc. However, had I not been spoiled about this (I haven't played this game since it came out, I'd forgotten almost everything yet somehow still remembered this spoiler) maybe the impact of the reveal would have felt enough. Either way, I suppose to reveal this information to Soren would have required a much longer scene and probably a small story arc in itself for Soren to comes to terms with it which is perhaps why they chose to just reveal it to the player and Almedha.
@@FullMetalFelineI honestly wish there was more interaction between Soren and Skrimir. Skrimir really went from "beorc tactics my butt" to "Soren can sit next to me"
I just can't imagine Soren being the ruler of Daein. The Greil Mercenaries was a core component that brough Daein to ruin under Begnion rule, Soren being the tactician and all will not sound well to the people of Daein and if Almedha claimed Soren was her true son after Pelleas gave up his rule to Micaiah, people would not believe her. It is funny that Micaiah is actually of Begnion blood and its even funnier that both potential rulers of Daein are Branded.
Man, I had genuinely 0 clue about Soren's true identity until he shared a screen with Almedha and Kurthnaga. The *instant* he came on screen, and I saw the similar colors in eyes and marks and hair, and even clothes to some extent, I just about lost it.
Soren, strategist of the Greil Mercenaries, is a member of the Royal bloodlines of both Daein and Goldoa.
To be fair, multi-colored hair and eyes are pretty abundant in this kind of universe.

I really don't care if they're best friends or lovers, but I find it funny that it's literally only a question because they're both dudes.
Like if any mxf pairing was written with this much tension consistently through two games to the point that they have a tender hug scene described as "two hearts become one" in the original Japanese and ultimately decide to spend the rest of their lives together, that would automatically be read as romantic.
I maintain Lethe or Ranulf have more chemistry, but damn, the games do not go out of their way to make it clear Soren and Ike are just bros even in the localisation.

@@trueblade3636 I mean, his only paired endings are with him disappearing forever with either Ranulf or Soren. Idk about you, but you don't leave everyone you know and love forever to go on adventure platonically. Aimee the shopkeeper actively tries to get with him, and he flat out rejects her. Idk what Ike is but it sure isn't straight.
@@kalin4889 that's your own headcannon. There is no indication that Ike is in love with Soren or Ranulf.
You can be best friends and trust each other and go on adventure with each other. Ike goes on adventure whether he has a support with both of them or not.
The only person who Soren trust is Ike cause he was the only one who actually cared about him and gave him a sandwich. Soren had a lot of problems and never cried.
They never had any romantic interaction with each other.
Aimee tried to get with Ike and Ike rejects her, that's a fact. However, that doesn't mean that Ike doesn't want any woman just because he rejects 1 woman. Aimee is kinda a weirdo. Aimee knows Ike when he still was a minor.
There are 2 female characters which Ike has somewhat of a 'romantic interaction' with. I say somewhat, cause it is doubtful. Just like Soren & Ranulf are doubtful
There is Elincia. At the end of PoR, Ike & Elincia walk hand-and-hand with some romantic music.
There is Lethe. In there A support, they are implying that Ike wants to 'train' with Lethe in Galia, and she 'wouldn't mind'
Those are 2 examples we can see of Ike having 'some kind of a romantic interaction'
I am not saying that Ike was in love with either of them. I am saying that there is zero interaction with Soren & Ranulf of any kind.
In conclusion, in game, there is no sufficient reason to believe that Ike is in love with Ranulf or Soren.
I know it's a long time ago but if Soren is a Ashnard's son then why was there no dialogue between Ashnard and Soren in the last chapter? Shouldn't Ashnard recognize him due to his mark?
There were basically no hints of their relationship in PoR till this game came out.
AuraChannelerChris Ok, I get the relationship part but shouldn't Ashnard and Soren have a dialogue before they throw something out like that? I get Soren as a black dragon laguz brand because of his appearance like red eyes, mark, and hair(I think it's green). I think the directors should give out a hint or two in POR and the first step was to create a dialogue at least between Ashnard and Soren. It doesn't need a father-son talk but it could be like "You look familiar" or something like that. Some people could be confused by this if you know what I mean since there was no proof except for the epilogue and Soren's facial appearance.
Wesley Hsu Ashnard tossed Soren out as a baby. It's pretty hard to tell the baby appearance of a teenager.
Seeing branded people like Soren was nothing unusual for Ashnard. Zelgius and Petrine were both branded as well, and they were always by his side. Also Ashnard is not like Almedha. He didn't give a damn about Soren.

I've find it extremely ironic about this.
Soren dislike Laguz so much that he called them sub-human, and even doesn't want to be around them, and yet he have a mother who is also Laguz.
Because the Laguz treat branded very badly.
Tbf i think he only hates cat/tiger laguz bc of his experiences on gallia, he was even the first one in teaching Ike the word "laguz".
Pretty sure the only reason why he snapped the way he did it's bc Lethe was treating Ike like shit, after that he only expresses distaste for skrimir and it's more linked to him being a blockhead more than him being a laguz lol
How can I get anyone let alone Ike and Soren to Micaiah and Zelgius before the battle ends? it's because I don't know how to I always kill Pelleas

give Ike a wind edge and you should be able to traget bk turn 12 make sure he has 27 speed
2nd playthrough. When given the option say no to pelleas when asked to kill him. You can recruit him afterwards and they you get a lot of bonus content with him.
I came just for that scene. It could've been done a lot better, but still. D": So, did you like it Aura? What do you think of it?
On the gameplay side? It was a little above decent, if not unforgiving because if you're not with the Greil Mercenaries, you WILL fall behind in levels and be horribly mangled and skinned alive. If you're with the Dawn Brigade, expect the whole world to laugh at you.
On the history side? Naaah. Ike and Micaiah get shoved down our throats waaaay too much, and the absence of Support scenes just hit the last nail in the coffin.

So you need to play the game twice and do a whole bunch of stuff to have the special Ike/Soren ending and also the ending where Ashunera returns

I am in disbelief. I didn't know that Lehran would get his laguz powers back. It's interesting because the story said that Lehran is a heron that lost his powers when he was in a relationship and procreated with Altina. It's said that a union between laguz and beorc is a taboo of the goddess and that punishment is dealt to the laguz parent. How is it possible for Lehran to have wings at 10:20 possibly stating he has his powers back? Interesting note: His wings are brown as hawk tribe laguz. If he is a heron laguz, shouldn't his wings white?
Only the heron royals have white wings
msdrakegx If Lehran is the ancestor of the herons, his wings should be white,regardless if he's royal or not.
the royal heron have white wings and the common herons have black (but still have a bishie-like design). it was said lehran was just a common heron, so it is only natural for his wings to be black. as for why they are back, i think during one of the memorys during the tower it was mentioned that a laguz can get his power back when he is stressed. (when the forest of serenes was burned down, sephiran "heard" his people scream and [as the flashbacks are from his view and he cant see himself] you hear a man yelling "are those wings on his backs?", implying they regrew suddenly).
Nile river Only Heron royals have white wings. Lehran isn't an ancestor of the Royals. And he was probably restored to his original form via the Galdr of Rebirth by Ashunera
We don't see his wings because he had a child with a beorc. Which caused him to lose them. Then he gets his wings back because the Heron tribe healed him with the galdyr. As said in his epilogue sentence. (Least that's my theory)
Super super far reach here, but I wonder if they’re going to make Ike a staple of the console games. With his epilogue story there’s technically room for him to make a return in three houses. 🤷🏻♂️
@@yanicuze8820 personally I thought he was the best part of the game. The Micaiah storyline dragged for me. Once you get to the Ike storyline things picked up dramatically
@@yanicuze8820 but in all honestly Marth is more of a mascot if any to the series but I just feel like Ike is by far the best main character in the franchise. My personal opinion though
10:34 I am in disbelief again. Ashunera? The name was briefly mentioned in the game on how the goddess Ashera would combine with Yune to become one being. I thought that when Ike defeats Ashera, at the end, she would die and that the blue spirit of Yune would become a bird once again. How can the ending be different this time around? By the way, Ashunera is beautiful. I wouldn't mind dating a gorgeous goddess, although, I wouldn't what to hurt her feelings or upset her because hell as no fury like a goddess scorned.
The two goddesses merged at the end after thousands of years passed. Ashera's defeat was the only way for her to comply to Yune's wishes.
I understand. It must have been difficult unlocking this ending. I never knew this ending existed since I didn't know that there were other secrets to be found: Having an A support rank with Soren and Ike, having Soren fight Micaiah and Pelleas, Save Pelleas survive, I didn't know you can unlock Lehran because I thought you had to defeat him in order to reach Ashera.

lolasogm Yes and No. Yes I would date Ashunera, if she existed in real life and if she looked as beautiful then as she does now. No I wouldn't date her because at that age, she old enough to be my great grandmother times a trillion.
