Thank you for doing these long-form explorations of Queen’s work. Both the studio and the live works. As a lifelong Queen fan I get so much more from your stuff than all of the one-off song reactions. I enjoy a lot of those, but what you’ve done is a cut above and it allows me to enjoy these guys once again in a way I couldn’t otherwise do. Again, well done and thank you.
Love these two… like an old married couple and still at it today 😂 The 4 of them were actually a family and if Freddie was alive I believe they would still be together. They would have had their fights and their breakups periodically and then regroup and do a concert and blow the doors off everyone else !! Somebody would be making a fabulous movie QUEEN THE FIRST 50 YEARS !
Lol I love this interview. They are good at answering questions. All 4 of the consistently discussed the importance “of the group”. Roger said “it’s home.” If you watch the Montreal commentaries, Brian & Roger remark it was the last shows with just the 4 of them.
Thanks for doing Live at the Bowl, Rory. So much energy in it. As for the future, put me down for more live Queen. Hopefully you will get around to Wembley on Friday, July 11, 1986. It is my favorite of the two weekend performances. The biggest difference was the fact that it rained, precipitating lots of adlibbing by Freddie. And that's just for starters!
And yes...apparently Roger wanted “I’m in love with my car” to be recorded on an album...the others didn’t agree so Roger locked himself in a cupboard for some hours until they relented🤩
Hello Rory .....Those bloody lights tood on a life of their own 😂. They eventually had one individual watching the light throughout the show. Hillarious!
After watching this reaction, I watched your reaction to Queen at Live Aid - Why was it so perfect. I began to wonder if you knew that Live Aid was played clear through on September 28th to celebrate a million subscribers on their RUclips channel. It is still available on the channel along with some interesting documentaries. I learned in an interview with Bob Geldorf that they receive donations for the cause through likes and shares, etc. If all the Queen fans that haven't seen it, or even those that have, watched, subscribed, liked and shared they could really make a difference. Ethiopia is in a drought again. Maybe you could react to some of the many videos there as well. Just a thought. 🤔
They all seemed pumped about the lights! Brian has changed so much over the years. I saw a recent interview where a fan asked if he could change anything in his life what would it be? He said he’d have liked to love one woman and be with her his whole life. 😢They asked him who he admired and he said Eric Clapton and Jimmy Hendrix.
Great reactions as usual Rory .... you have to do the "Flash" soundtrack , if only to hear the very heavy "The Hero" (you remember this from start of Milton Keynes show maybe ?!) but I would recommend seeing the movie first (if you don't know it) as it has many audio clips from the movie and I can imagine you're going to be asking many questions to the viewer if you haven't seen it !! It's not a proper Queen LP as such but has some interesting moody spacey pieces that will remind you of Pink Floyd quite possibly plus a couple of different variations of the Flash theme song itself , so there's enough goiung on to make it an interesting listen , trust me !
LISTEN TO FLASH ALBUM but prob not doing a complete react to it. It is atmospheric and sometimes i put it on but it is a movie soundtrack in the old form of it
Here's something I came across a while back,.. you should recognize some of your favorite guitarists (including one Canadian)! ruclips.net/video/eF_bHXuZ5KI/видео.html
Really enjoying your Queen reactions! About the Flash Gordon soundtrack, don't bother. It has very little musical value out of context and the interspersed dialog from the movie is just grating. Maybe do Montreal live -81 at some point?

God I wish Freddie was still alive. Wouldn’t they be awesome - STILL! The 4 of them… the 4 OGs out there killing it!
If only -

Queen was very intelligent about their music and performance.

True story 😂 Love these guys so much
Thanks for doing this concert Rory, I've really enjoyed it, it was so full of energy loved it
Don’t bother with Flash. Can’t wait to see your reaction to Hot Space🤘

My .02? Skip Flash soundtrack. I am biased in that there are only two tracks with lyrics, and I'm a Freddie-ite.
Skip flash exactly like you say.

Flash is mostly an instrumental album with two songs
One being Flash
Skip!
They added Morgan Fisher on keyboard and guitar, so that Freddie could pay more attention to the audience.
If you react to Flash, I will see it. And if you react to Hot Space, I will see it ❤❤
I say go to Hot Space next. Flash sounds like a soundtrack. Or watch the movie.
Flash is the one album I didn't buy. But you're a Flash movie fan, so you'll appreciate it.
Are you going to do Flash Gordon album next?
LISTEN TO FLASH ALBUM but prob not doing a complete react to it. It is atmospheric and sometimes i put it on but it is a movie soundtrack in the old form of it
They want to sound "unique on stage?"
Here's something I came across a while back,.. you should recognize some of your favorite guitarists (including one Canadian)!

I absolutely second this motion!!!!!

it's worth doing for "The Hero" alone mate !
@@thechopperharrispunctualta9885 I actually have to agree; the Hero deserves a listen.
