  • In this video, reacting to reactors reacting reacts to Queen's 1975 hit, Bohemian Rhapsody.
From wiki: "Bohemian Rhapsody" is a song by the British rock band Queen, released as the lead single from their fourth studio album, A Night at the Opera (1975). Written by lead singer Freddie Mercury, the song is a six-minute suite, notable for its lack of a refraining chorus and consisting of several sections: an intro, a ballad segment, an operatic passage, a hard rock part and a reflective coda. It is one of the few progressive rock songs of the 1970s to achieve both widespread acclaim and commercial success, and appeal to a mainstream audience.
Mercury referred to "Bohemian Rhapsody" as a "mock opera" that resulted from the combination of three songs he had written. It was recorded by Queen and co-producer Roy Thomas Baker at five studios between August and September 1975. Due to recording logistics of the era, the band had to bounce the tracks across eight generations of 24-track tape, meaning that they required nearly 200 tracks for overdubs. The song parodies elements of opera with bombastic choruses, sarcastic recitative, and distorted Italian operatic phrases. Lyrical references include Scaramouche, the fandango, Galileo Galilei, Figaro, and Beelzebub, with cries of "Bismillah!"
Although critical reaction was initially mixed, retrospective reviews have acclaimed "Bohemian Rhapsody" one of the greatest songs of all time, and it is often regarded as the band's signature song. The promotional video is credited with furthering the development of the music video medium. It has appeared in numerous polls of the greatest songs in popular music, including a ranking at number 17 on Rolling Stone's 2021 list of the “500 Greatest Songs of All Time”. A Rolling Stone readers' poll ranked Mercury's vocal performance as the greatest in rock history.
"Bohemian Rhapsody" topped the UK Singles Chart for nine weeks (plus another five weeks following Mercury's death in 1991) and is the UK's third best-selling single of all time. It also topped the charts in countries including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and the Netherlands, and has sold over six million copies worldwide. In the United States, the song peaked at number nine in 1976, but reached a new peak of number two after appearing in the 1992 film Wayne's World. In 2004, the song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Following the release of the 2018 biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, it became the most streamed song from the 20th century. In 2021, it was certified diamond in the US for combined digital sales/streams equal to 10 million units, and is one of the best selling songs of all time.

I so appreciate your reaction, your thoughts and perspective. I think his saying it's better live was in some ways ludicrous; but it is neat to hear Freddie singing the first section with the projection of chest voice as he usually did in live performances. The middle section was obviously just playing the recorded version. I don't think these commenters had anything particularly insightful or thoughtful to say; but you did, so it's all good.

Hearing this version gave me a new appreciation for the band. Not just the performance, but the simple yet creative way to deal with the middle part. It's was simple enough to make their reappearance so vibrant.
Thanks for taking the time to watch, and to comment.

You made me emotional, I loved your reaction. One of my all time favorite songs, almost 50 years later It still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. Whether it's the original or a live version as long as it's Freddie Mercury it's all good 👑

Don't know what that guy was talking about saying it's better live, lots of Queen songs were but Bohemian Rhapsody clearly isn't. The studio version is an absolute masterpiece impossible to replicate perfectly live. Though it's still great obviously. Prefer the Milton Keynes version personally though to be honest :)
    Their reactions were enjoyable.
Love what you said about Freddie ❤ he brought so many of us so much joy.

I was kind of shocked when he said it's better live. That's hard to support, when thinking about how the song was created.
Thanks so much for your thoughts, and for watching.

Youre great 👍. Can i suggest a reactor hes called Rory reacts, reaction is to Liar live at the Rainbow 1974 ive watched them since he first started Queen,he really wasn't impressed but kept going,6 months later he was a monster fan. He has well over 200 queen songs, interviews and documentaries on there. Ive always loved his honestly.
He and I are both English so we're in the groups homeland rather than trying to explain it i would seek out bo rap being played over the p.a whilst waiting for Green day to take the stage. What happened next is breath taking the whole maybe 50or60 thousand people began to sing. This is in 2017 nearly 50years since the song was made, and the knew every word. I swear to god that in this country we are vaccinated with this song at birth. People know this better yhan the national anthem. They even sing Brian's guitar solo, watch a ractor 555is good and see theit amazement. Thank you for your lovely work xx
