So what if we wanted to do cue loop? would we have to arrange saved loops to do that? i don't see a cue loop feature on this controller,, i spent the majority of last nite looking
@@djkit at your responsibility ;) Be cool to get him to Lisbon by any summer releases buy InMusic for presentation/ workshop... I think he could appreciate the slight difference between the beaches here and UK's ones ahahha :P
Got a question can you still cut it up and mix still by turning off the platter and go basic controller jog wheel like other controller before the rane one and rev7 came out?
ow does the bass sound on these will this sound good in small hall with high ceilings. I got two Samson Expedition old speakers need to do a small halloween party 150 ppl any recommendations for setup. Need the bass to hit hard. One subwoofer or two for small budget. I have the Rane one what wires would I need??
i think it sounds like shit .hell my s4mk3 sounds better .the rane one i got had issues wouldnt to proper slices and rolls lots of glitches prey u dont get a bad one
@@detroittrickster3327 lol, your controller has nothing to do with how your music will sound as far as quality... as far as any of the buttons or actions and delays prob has to do with your laptop or pc and its hardware.
i dont see why people use more than two channel unless you're very skilled and are actually making beats live then mixing them in to whatever new mix you are doing live for the first time....
Given Rane one being their first controller have to say they did a good job. Can we expect Rane one in the future to make more upgraded features or with another controller in future that the rane one does not have from other controllers?
I would think rane will iron out all the issues with this controller with a rane one mk2 and will probably arrive next year.I would also like to see rane make a small separate of the rane 12 with smaller platters like the one or a slightly bigger 10” as you could cut down the space and with a mixer of your choice.
@@djkit Yeah nice bit of kit but I like the simple design of the rane12 it’s more like a turntable but in a smaller form factor and solid build. I know it’s not everyone’s taste to have a smaller turntable but I think a 10” is the sweet spot. Most of the inside of the 12 is unused space. So it would be easy to shrink it a bit.
Wish they made this more symmetrical. It’s definitely off on the left side. The load button is too far to keep reaching over just to load a song. I want to avoid going my computer. That’s the point of having the load button at arms reach! 🤦🏾♂️ did they even use real DJs for testing this thing.
I have to agree with this comment about this controller being assymmetrical. Also, the left pitch slider is too close to the left up-fader. I honestly feel they should have put the pitch sliders in the battle style position. It feels more natural for turntablists to reach for the pitch sliders at the top.
@@djkit You're probably right. I just think it would have made more sense to replicate two turntabels in battle mode since that is how most turntablists would orient their decks.
It’s a shame I really like this controller but won’t buy it because it has no onboard FX. At a price point of $1,599 you need to include FX on this controller maybe the next one will.
this is not a stand alone... it needs to be connected to a laptop or pc... why would you need onboard fx when you can have access to all of them, and load in whatever ones you want to utilize in your mixes
@@alphaza76PCB it’s a shame they didn’t make them Mags like their mixers.I didn’t expect this from rane. Missed opportunity in my opinion. The dj1000 srt I think is better buy. But if you like scratching and beat juggling this is probably the better option even though they sold us slightly short on the build you can’t deny it’s a nice first attempt at a controller.Another dislike of mine is the pitch fader and the up fader sit very close to each other.
Great video, def gets a thumbs up...funny comment about competition at the end haha
Thank you very much! Don't forget to sub!
My question is how to use the headphone cue and split when i want to hear the next song first on my other deck before I play it out
Can you.put sound effects thru the microphone
how can you connect this to an iMac all-in-one desktop or iPhone 12. Thank you for the cool video review.

DJKIT, how do you record with the RANE ONE using your laptop mic to record on Audacity
You don't need to use Audacity, you can record the master and microphone directly in to Serato!
HI Ratzi & Matt Great vid, do you need to purchase additional licence for Virtual DJ or Algorithm software or does this hardware unlock for free ?
Hey Jason! You need to purchase those licenses I'm afraid!
I cant.figure out how to do it.
ahhhhh Awesomeness!!!! love the Quid Pro Quo
Glad you liked it! Hopefully we can have Matt Reay into the Ratcave again soon!

mac or windows laptop to use with this would you say?
It will work with both, so as long as the laptop has the correct specs to work with the software, it won't really make much difference!
Got a question can you still cut it up and mix still by turning off the platter and go basic controller jog wheel like other controller before the rane one and rev7 came out?
When you turn the platter off it turns into a 'CDJ' feel, so spinning the platter will slow and speed the tune a bit like a pitch bend.
🤜🏻🤛🏻I don’t speak english.Thank’s for the video.

I guess they chose this asymmetrical layout as it replicates two turntables in normal, although a battle mode model would be sooo sick!

Not entirely true on the build quality as the up faders are pcb
The crossfader is the only Mag Four.
I understand the upfaders are not MAG4, but are they removable or are they soldered onto the PCB?
