Something not pointed out about Krarkashima (which is fair, not many people play that deck) is that they actually have an additional tutor that other Izzet decks usually don't, that being Step Through. A 2 mana of any color instant speed tutor that can find your Veyran, Harmonic Prodigy, Spellseeker, or Dualcaster Mage. Really really good card in the deck. You guys were right on the money when you said how creative Krark decks can get!

It’s also a huge deal that it doesn’t exile itself or anything. I find step through to be an insane spell actually. I use Battlefield thurmaturge and baral’s expertise alongside step through and paradoxical outcome and displace and ghostly flicker and lots of fun spells. Being able to step through for 2 mana and remove 3 creatures from the board back to players hands is actually really good. 3 targets dealt with for 1 card.

I agree with Dylan about the list needing to be about the commanders rather than just the colors. Because while I agree with Cam that, for example, Azorius is better than Boros in terms of card quality, it doesn't change the fact that the only reason you'd be limited to these colors is due to the commander you are playing. Therefore, if Winota is better than Shorikai, then it is the better deck and color combination here. That's also how you guys set up the discussion in the very beginning, so the whole ranking is thrown off by focusing solely on the colors instead of the actual commanders you'd be playing in them. Either way, great discussion guys!

19:22 - Orzhov is weird because it's the worst color combo right now, but it's hard to know if that's just color quality or commander quality. Like you guys said, Tymna and Lurrus are the best commanders and both can be played with more colors (Tyma partner and Lurrus 5 color companion).

I dont know, because i never played a real EDH Game - just 1 vs. 1 against my brother. My Deck is a Teysa, Orzhov Scion Ad Naus Deck. Unanswered it wins normaly Turn 3-5, because i need more then 2 cards to win the game. Compared to other Ad Naus Decks, i have a really low CMC count (1.13 - without Ad Naus itself). I have to play risky and i also play forbbiden tutors to get a specific card. But it is possible to win, even when 90 % of the deck is exiled.

Denry editor in chief is underrated. Glen Elandra is a one card combo with your commander out. You get access to infinite 1 mana counterspells for non creature spells. It’s also a flying chump blocker every turn. It’s can also be sacrificed to any free altar or outlet as many times as you want. Because it’s whenever a non token creature enters you get a counter you also always get a trigger to respond to. Denry is horrifically misunderstood. One of the best stax commanders in its colors.

Shalai can truly lock out opponents from playing in a way that other stax decks can’t, and being an infinite mana outlet makes it incredibly good with greens creatures combos, seedborn muse, etc. Lock out opponents with stax creatures, pump them through a combo or just over time for the win
Saffi is a pretty quick and resilient combo deck that just put up a top 16 within the week? Maybe 2 weeks ago

For the tutoring thing for Red, reckless handling did just come out for March of Machines aftermath which is essentially just a worse Gamble cause you have reveal the card so now people know and you still have to do the random discard thing. Not saying it's great and that Red is now insane with tutors, just saying red has another option to keep note of and this might show that colors are about to get more tutors for specific types of cards. Again, dont think it's super impactful and super important, just something to keep a mental note of in the back.

Tap wishclaw getting mox amber or mox opal (if 3 artifacts) (1 mana)
      Cast mox untapping rona
Tap mox for mana and Rona to bounce presenting loop for infinite mana
After infinite mana is made bounce wishclaw and recast it (flipping Rona first so mox amber can tap for B) getting urza lord high artificer/brain freeze

So I don't disagree with your assessment that Gruul is low on the totem pole here. Only shift I'd make is probably putting it higher than Orzhov. But having played Ruric Thar for years, I will say the stax pool is deeper than you'd think.
Obviously you have Ouphe/Magus at the top, but also their second copies in Null Rod/Blood Moon. Possibility Storm is great with Ruric Thar in particular, since it's essentially a hard lock for noncreature spells. Manglehorn deserves a mention here as it's both a stax piece and artifact removal. Beyond that things get slim and you've gotta lean on colorless options like Trinisphere, Damping Sphere, Thorn, etc.
One card that's consistently impressed me though is Harsh Mentor. It stops Kinnan, Thrassios, Monolith and Scepter Combos, and can chip away at life totals from things like fetches. I think that card is severely underrated.

Love the video! I think my only remark is that I've been seeing Koll pop up here and there and every time I come across it I feel like it's doing some pretty powerful stuff for Boros. While not Winota, by any means, I think less of a gap than the rest of Boros. Just 1 deck that's a bit closer to Winota for the color combo.
Was hard to separate what a color does from what the top deck in those colors does though, props to that! Always fun to listen to your thoughts while I'm workin'.

ALSO, GITROG!!! I just have to add my nitpick, and that is that in my opinion exiling the one or 2 (normally 1 because we run as nauseum and are greedy) Eldrazi titans is way worse. As this makes looking for riftsweeper extremely harder. I also would argue it's better than rakdos because how many decks can run CHAINS OF MEPH🤪

Are people off of gale and the black background (scion of halister I think?) from CLB? It seemed super promising at the time

Throughout the podcast, I noticed you two were ranking the color combinations. Unfortunately, I couldn't determine the ranks. In your personal opinion, where would you officially rank the color combinations.

Lurrus is the strongest orzhov deck.
It's also the best jeweled lotus deck.

Imperial Recruiter can find you Thassa's Oracle, but... it can also........................................................................................................
Find you Spellseaker, which can find you Muddle the Mixtures, which can find you Underworld Breach! XD
Also, Tolaria West can find you LED! XD..... Although... I have not seen this in any real decklist! XD
Trinket Mage is apparently a better alternative! XD

Quick question, why do I never see treasure nabber in cedh decks. Is 3 mana too much for the anti-artifact stax effect?

I think the only simic ones that can keep up with kinnan are Pir and toothy which hits a different axis, aswell as kodama saka.

Since pir and toothy left the database pre-displacer kitten, try him with the cat, fuckers done broke it.
