Hi Roza, I recently bought a black head remover and it has litterally been a game changer in my routine! Espically when it comes to extractions for me; pustules and sebaceous filaments. However, I have noticed after cleaning out the pore and applying a drying agent (usually a clay mask) to where the the pustule was, a day after the skin is still somewhat raised but not as significantly as it once was when there was debris in the pore. After extractions and clay mask I usally follow with toning led light high frequency and then the Lemieux o2 calming gel as a mask. I wanted to know if I should apply some sort of acid like salicylic or glycolic or even mandelic to clean out the pore even more before applying the o2 calming gel? as I know that they all have antibacterial and are anti-inflammatory. I am a Fitzpatrick 4 and use to suffer with grade 3 acne but after Lots of dedication consistency and the right products I am in remission. I know after extractions melanocytes start to go to work which causes PIH in POC I didn’t want to over fry or cause more PIH with the add on of cleaning out the pore further with a AHA/BHA technique but I value your opinion as a upcoming esthetician student and wanted to know what would be best? Good day!🤗
Dear Stephanie, thank you for such a great question. There are multiple answers to your question, if you don’t mind I will answer in the video form as it’s too lengthy to write and I can say more in the video. Let me know if I can post it as public so everyone can learn or I will send it to you privately and give a brief explanation here.
