- Steve Cha (aka Rockstar Eater) makes a special visit to the Magic Castle in 2021, which is one of the most exclusive clubs in the world. Since 1963, the Magic Castle in Hollywood is a clubhouse for magicians and magic enthusiasts, and is a clubhouse for the Academy of Magical Arts. It is located in the Hollywood district of LA, and is called “the most unusual private club in the world,” and is frequented by many celebrities including Johnny Depp and Neil Patrick Harris.
In order to get in, you must be a member or must be invited by an active member. But once you are in, you are treated to a classic Victorian-era atmosphere, some 5-star dining, a cocktail bar, and an endless night of magic performances.

Oh wow! I've been to the Magic Castle before but the times I went they specifically told us that we were not able to film anything inside. Has this rule been changed recently?

Wow, Houdini was over your shoulder behind you while you were eating! They have a Houdini seance for your guests too! Really scary, entertaining, fun! Glad you didn't say the password to the owl that lets you into the club...it's a secret!!! Oh, you forgot Irma! She doesn't like to be photographed, but she is the piano playing ghost that responds to you with music! She is sitting at the grand piano! The food has always been good, and the service is impeccable! The chefs have changed to high end gourmet, smaller portion, higher price! Ha, but as you can see with the look on your face...the food is really amazing!!!!!!! I've been a member for 35 years! My high school students have been in their young magician program as well! Soooo much fun! There is so much history in this mansion! So many secrets hidden there as well! Awesome review! They never allow photos or videos inside because it is a "secret" club, but you knew the right people to get you in! Oh yah, that gal on stage was Luna Shimada!!!! Her dad is the great "Shimada"!!!!! One of the greatest magicians in the world! You can see Luna and her dad on youtube as well!

Back in the 1980s, I used to practice magic. I knew about the Magic Castle's dinner and a show. But getting an invite was impossible for a kid in the Central Valley.

this place is a hidden secret, and most people don't know because it's a hidden space in Hollywood.
Real rare to find out about. I only know from a friend who pointed it out when we were in the area. The way I was told about seemed like it was much more lucid “magical” experience.
i never knew it was so elusive my grandma took me around 3 times because she knew a member and got invited plenty of times, it was the most fun ive had at a resturant the magic shows were amazing if you ever get a chance to go please go

What is the best day to go? I heard that Monday’s are the worst.
I got an invite from a member. I was given a pass for 5 so I was trying to coordinate a time when we could all get together. Unfortunately, than pass expired so I never made it to the Magic Castle.
