I've been a member for nearly 20 years, and the Magic Castle never ceases to amaze me. It's a true gem in the heart of Hollywood, offering an unparalleled experience that effortlessly combines the art of magic, fine dining, and an intimate social atmosphere. I often invite clients and friends to join me for an evening there, which always makes for a memorable outing. The club’s exclusivity adds to its allure - you have to cultivate relationships with existing members to get an invitation, making it all the more special when you finally walk through those enchanted doors. The Magic Castle does an excellent job of preserving the wonder and mystique of magic while also serving as an incredible venue for networking and socializing. It's a cornerstone of LA's magical community, and I couldn’t recommend it more.
Only people who knows about card magic could appreciate how difficult the tricks this guy is performing are… That’s other level sleight of hand, extremely talented and professional.. World class card magician
@@creevey82the first one was the double lift. Although in both cases he was able to bring the cards to the top with quick shuffles impressive in itself. I am more impressed with the second one. In a fraction of a second, he pushed the card to right hand, palmed it and dropped it behind the box.
If you visit the castle website you can become an associate member these are people that love the art of magic. I believe there is a four month waiting period but if you really love magic and are not a magician and want to get into the castle this is your way to go.
@@jordanmeller1773 I know this is a 2 year old comment, but I just want to clarify for others that you do actually need a reference from someone who is currently a member before you can apply.
Yeah he just palmed the card in his hand (you can see it in slow motion) and then dropped it behind the box. And the card came out the wrong angle from the box
2:33 See the way he held the deck he riffled through the deck and put the jack on top then he double lift the card (meaning he lift the card below the top card) then he put the top card onto her hand
Some cards are picked more. But honestly it doesn't matter which card. He knows where each card is in the deck. After the card was picked, he was able to do a few cuts and bring it to the top of the deck. Then he palmed it in the right hand and dropped it from behind the box, if you freeze exactly when the drop happens you can see that. He is very talented, and has incredible control.
Ive done two things that required secercy...Magic and pro wrestling. And frankly, the idea of protecting the secrets is silly especially since they are so readily available. For me and other magicians and wrestlers I knew knowing how a trick was done or how a match was worked only made it more fascinating
I love Magic,it makes life seem more enjoyable, life sometimes gets to hard, but think this, what happens if magic was real? nobody would be sick,we all,get along,oh wait thats a illusion
2:33 ok but really how'd he do that trick? I'm pretty sure there was a double-lift involved when he showed that queen card as an example, but there were like zero other movements at all in the whole trick where he could've pulled some sleight of hand stuff. Did he somehow force her to pick Jack of Spades? Please, someone explain!
ordered deck, double lift, flipped it back over and put the jack in her hand. The super impressive part is the fact he cut to the right place in the deck, unless he did it a different way.
This suggestions can do channel call costumes. Fans of TV and movies like learn how make some costumes. For example power rangers would love learn how make suits from the show.
Got the 8 of hearts to the top of deck (many ways, I did see a fake cut) then palm it before reaching for the box. The box then hid the card when lifted, then release the palm and let it fall. (You'll also see the card falls sideways because it's palmed)
He put the jack under the queen in the deck and when putting it in her hand, he very quickly changed it. I know it's almost impossible to see but these magicians are so fast
The 'skill' was finding the Jack in the deck so fast, locking it in place to do the cut; then, he placed it below the Queen and held them as one card to show. When he turns the Queen over, the Jack is paired with it on the back (as one card) So when he places the turned card in her hand (The Jack) it appears to be the Queen. As for the other trick goes...NO IDEA! LOL. Care to share?
The precise cuts in an ordered deck are the impressive part. He didn't dig through the deck to find the 8, he cut to a specific spot because he knew the 8 was there. That is the "magic" part to me.
This so called "exclusive private club" has rules banning photography inside the castle and yet they allowed Insider to film with a camera crew for some weird reason.
