Welcome to my woodworking channel. I am passionate about taking the most wonderful woods mother nature created and turning them into beautiful objects of day to day use. This is not a DIY channel about teaching the woodworking craft, showing you new and nifty techniques about how to build wooden objects or anything alike. Hola desde Barcelona amigo mío! A gorgeous piece of art my friend. I truly have a soft spot for walnut, and watching you build this gem, is making my woodworking passion come to life. I love that compression figuring in that slab. What was your final thickness? A wonderful choice of legs also. A classic piece. I also see you used the crystal coating. 😁 just love it!

Thank you, Henry my friend! You are in Barcelona? Such a fantastic city - one of my favourites! Make sure to visit the Sagrada Familia. The final thickness was 5 cm (2"). Yes, the legs are really really nice, from a Swiss producer. They are not only nice looking, but also really usable, because you can sit around the entire table without the legs getting into your way.

how much flex do you get in the center of the router flattening jig? Ideally you want zero but everything flexes with weight especially with a 10 lbs. router running over top it.

This jig is really really sturdy. I am sure there is a small flex in the center, but it's so small that you barely notice it, so I never worried about it. This is the jig from Stonecoat Countertops: www.stonecoatcountertops.com/slab-jig/

Thank you for your kind words, my friend. Yes, the base is really really nice, and not only nice looking, also really ergonomic, because you can sit around the entire table without them getting into the way...

@@WoodensoulI could see immediately this. It adds an entire dimension to the table that is not present in other designs. God Bless you and as always, it is a pleasure to watch you do your work. Always so beautiful and the level of skill from start to finish is impressive. Also it is great to see someone besides me that uses the "magic router" xD
