      MrRangerZr1....First....great video much appreciated sharing with us! At the 1:13, what does that actuator do? The front one (:45) works when we change the mode, the fan blows fine and changes speeds, but the heat and air neither work in the back. Front heat and air are fine for both the driver and the passenger. However, the front heat doesn't work unless the van is moving. It will not just warm up the van if you start it and wait but once moving the heat works. Any guidance would be great. 2007 Honda Odyssey EXL.

    I just used your videos to replace both the front and rear expansion valve on my 2010 honda odyssey. I also replaced the rear evaporator core as well. It wasn't hard to figure out how to get to the rear evaporator once you get to the rear expansion valve. Thanks for the video

    hi,Mr.Ranger,great videos as always! i have an issue with my 14 Odyssey ,all of a sudden my rear a/c vents started blowing "not"cold air ,could it be the rear expansion valve only because the front is blowing cold? (freon levels checked and they are good?)and when i vacuum all the freon out to replace the (easy) rear EValve,do i have to add oil to the system when recharging with fresh freon?you are a blessing to humanity.

      Check the blend door actuator in the back, could be the expansion valve as well. When you go back to get freon refill, just tell them what exactly you replaced and they'll add freon/pag oil as needed.

      You won't get heat right when you start up the engine, once the engine warms up you'll get heat, this is in any car.
      If it's not blowing air at all, check the blower motor and resistor.

    Why only use OEM VALVES only? What is the insulation you used to cover the valve and foam insulation. Where did you it from?

    • @MrRangerZr1
      @MrRangerZr1  2 года назад

      The foam comes with the OEM valve

    MrRanger: What was the symptom (if any) that you had before this repair? Our 07 has blows cold ac in the front, but warm in the rear. No codes from the climate control seld diagnosis. Which points me to the expansion valve. System has been re charged to spec by our licensed mechanic.

      Sounds like the expansion valve. My front valve caused intermittent cooling, swapped it out, ice cold again.

      first thing check freon levels, then if it does the same then yes could be the valve.

      Scott Rios you ordered the OEM valve? It should come with the insulation. You can use HVAC tape as an alternative.
