What is the reason to have ducting between the fan and the carbon filter - can I just connect them directly to one another?
so a 6" outlet fan and a 4" inlet fan would be OK for a 5x5 tent
Yeah, in most cases that'd be spot on.
What happens in summer when it gets 35-42 degrees in my country summer can get hot would you use a portable air-conditioner and dehumidifier ? And when it gets cold in winter are the lights good enough to keep the temperature good or will you need a heater with temperature control, I think someone should invent a tent with all the trimmings for both hot and cold temperature with a control device, so all your fans heater humidifiers plug into that device which inturn plugs into 1 wall outlet and the rest of your wall outlets are just for ×4 or ×6 seperate 600-1000 watt hps that's where the big buds are at metal haloids and or HpS
Is an intake fan completely necessary or can i just have a port at the bottom open?
If you're growing in a tent that's 1.2m x 1.2m that's when we would say an in-take is necessary. Anything smaller you could get by with a port at the bottom.

Yeah, for a tent that big a port for intake is fine.
Hey mate. I also have a 0.8 x 0.8. I'm looking to purchase an inline fan. What would you recommend? Are these fans really noisy?
