Mouse Cursor Disappearing In Google Chrome FIX

- If your mouse is flickering and/or disappears all together when using Google Chrome, following these steps should resolve your issue.
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops,and tablets running the Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 operating systems. Works for all major computer manufactures (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung).

This was so obnoxious to deal with when writing in google docs, the layout of settings is different but if you go to system in settings and uncheck it, it still works. Thank you.

Ironically, you have to use your finger on the touchscreen to go through the steps since you can't see the mouse cursor.
If you don't have a touchscreen, this procedure would really be tough.
This worked but why would this problem happen when it's been working fine for years, then all of a sudden the cursor disappears?

The crazy thing is, in 2020 it still seems to need this fix. I'm shocked that they haven't fixed this yet.

Also, I'd like to echo others' praise for the brevity of your video. Straight to the point without a lot of excess nonsense is both rare and WONDERFUL.
If anyone is having trouble selecting things whilst you can't see your pointer, press tab instead and it'll select things for you. Just press enter to click.
Hope your additional suggestions will be able to assist others!
Thank-you very much MDTech, problem fixed. The only problem I had was trying to guess where my invisible pointer was so that I could click on the options. Perhaps you could add advice and show on-screen the other ways for selecting e.g. touch screen, tab key, other?
I THINK I FINALLY FIXED IT!!!!!!! When you search 'cursor disappears yahoo', all that comes up is 'cursor disappears in yahoo mail,' and that wasn't my problem. Christ, it's been vanishing for 2 weeks! Thanks!

Thanks! This works well as a quick temporary fix. However, the problem keeps coming back every once in a while, even though I have hardware acceleration turned off. When this happens, turning hardware acceleration back on and relaunching chrome fixes the problem. This makes me think that the problem isn't with hardware acceleration. Perhaps relaunching chrome is the action that fixes the problem. Anyway, a more permanent solution would be appreciated. I hope Google fixes this bug which has existed for years now.
It does work .... for an hour or so. Then my cursor disappears again. So, I then go back and ENABLE hardware acceleration. It works ... for an hour or so, and the my cursor disappears again. So, this obviously isn't a permanent solution for my problem. I wish I could fix this. It is so frustrating!
Thank you! It worked. Chrome looks a little different now though, the menu to find settings are three dots in the top instead of the hamburger and instead of right clicking "advanced settings" there is an "advanced settings" button at the very bottom of the settings page.

Yes this was helpful but I think would have been more helpful if you had demonstrated the steps without your mouse pointer. After all, if I had a mouse cursor on my screen, I wouldn't have needed the help in the first place! Your instructions were very helpful in the end after I toggled through each step.

MDTechVideos oh by the way I did the “turn it off then turn it back on” and it works well. Oh, and it was a bit easy because I had a Surface, which means touchscreen.
