Here in Charlotte County N.B. the devastation is unreal. I salvaged a lot of uprooted spruce for the mill now that the ground is somewhat froze although not much in low lying areas. Looks like a tornado blew through. Never seen anything like it. What a year for weather.

Ya I hear ya, trying to salvage the blow downs myself. That storm was something else. Hope we don’t see another one for a while!

😢😮 I'll just say friend. Be careful walking around those trees. Those anchoring roots and Roots to the tree where the tree comes out of the ground might not hold the tree in the ground with the soil loose like that. I'd be very careful. Thank you. I just subscribed to your channel thank you. Good luck to you

@@CentralMaineOutdoorsman thanks for the response back Central Maine outdoorsman. I saw a couple of trees leaning and they were support by another tree. That's what they call a Widowmaker. I learned that from watch another programs when they were cutting the trees down and they fell like that and they leaned against a tree. Watch your channel again soon. Thank you. Good luck to you.

I hate these storms like this. So destructive. Tons of rain to loosen the soil and then in with the wind !! Bad mix for those species of trees in your woods.
I miss the good old winters we used to have. You guys got hit hard. Good luck with the clean up.
    Dave.

Ya, I may leave most of the down fir trees to help fertilize the soil. But not sure and have to research what’s best. Looking forward to cold and snow like winter should be! 😂 Then I can get the tractor out in the woods for clean up!

Tons of small wood for the stove that’s for sure. Looks like quite a few for the mill. Hopefully beginning of January it’s supposed to start getting colder. Need a good freeze to help out w the mud and flowing water. Yeah the tractor would really tear things up right now. Not much ya can do about it. Glad house and shed made it through ok. Take care

The trees are already on the ground so I don’t have to make the decision witch ones I need to cut down 😂, I’m looking forward to the ground freezing at least, snow would be nice tho… plenty of fire wood and saw logs for the mill!!! Glade nothing was damaged! Got lucky 🍀

I hear ya. This one really made a lot
Of power outages. There was another after that was said to be bad but seemed like half the storm this one was. It made a real mess out of my wood lot. Cheers!
