Amazing job to both Coach Firas and Mr. Pravec! I really enjoyed this.... I wanted so bad to be there and ask questions and show variations!! I've been working on something new for the past couple years and this is motivating me to release it soon! This video is spot on with technique!! RUclips GOLD! 🤙
I love how Firas is a killer and trainer of killers, but as a world know blackbelt he still tries to be the student. He knows when to listen and learn. Most people in his position would have stopped learning a long time ago with his accomplishments. My wife and I met Karel on a trip to NEW YORK in the blue basement and out of the room full of world-class people he is still a legend among them, but he was still hands down the nicest and most inviting of them all. He visited with us before and after and acted like he knew us forever.
I’ve never gotten as many taps in an open mat since watching this vid. The angles with both guillotine(and not letting them control the outside leg) and the von flute with turning outwards to apply angled pressure. So effective
I definitely was tearing heads off with my guillotine. I even had a training partner complain that I tweaked his neck with it. This video really helped me better understand where I was lacking and the true nature of this choke. appreciate it guys. 🥂
Loved the sweep from bottom side control. Sometimes you just don't react in time with the front headlock sprawl especially and you often end up in that position. Gotta remember that one for when I get back on the mats, God willing. Thanks for the video Firas and Karel.
loved the armbar demo from the last one, gotta try this one too. I was a fan of Marcelo's guillotine but this variation of shoulder and hip out could get me to the next level I need to be. Effective and less strength technique is the jiu jitsu I like.
Great details! Thanks so much Karel, hopefully I'll get to train with you sometime at StoutPGH! Also, at 16:47, my thought was, block the hip with the right hand, releasing the head with the left and turning clockwise, grab the armpit with the left hand to anchor, block the hips with the right forearm and hip escape to break posture, cinch up the buggy choke. I'm gonna post a video on that soon, I think.
Here's me hitting it on Mike Wilkins, but before I learned the hip/knee block-hip escape detail: ruclips.net/video/IYdtQVUkg-k/видео.html - it would have worked sooner if I'd collapsed his posture and started to roll him over with that lower hand. "This one has some merit." - Mike, at this very moment as the buggy is applied 😂
Same man, i see this shit as a marathon, if i go at my own pace look after my body imagine my skill level at 40-50. Ask my Dr for TRT and we're good to go baby 😂
Liked it before I watched :) I guillotined my teammates the day after I bought Fox's video. The shoulder, crunch to the side and the leg control were key. Simple but very effective.
gooood video. this is literally EXACTLY the reason why dustin porier didn't finish the guillotine choke against khabib last ngt. i paused this video to go check the fight last night and dustin porier leaned back instantly when he got the guillotine instead of bringing his shoulder forward over khabibs head. even khabib said that the choke was deep but now i see this was the missing peace. and khabib almost flipped over on his back so dustin cldve rolled him over. good video.
This is gold! Thank you so much, I suck at guillotines so this helped me so much. Never seen the details about shoulder position, counters and not diving under him to finish. This guy is like a friendly Danaher.
Love the video. Wanted to add: 1. Fox and his live roll thing on Facebook? It should be sprinkled throughout. Not everyone will make it to the end. 2. All his links etc should be in the Description.
Great video. I was trying to find more details about your guillotine grip. For both arm in and arm out variations you use. It’s hard to see exactly the grip taken. Can you show the details of how you are connecting your hands exactly in both cases? Thanks!
Man! John Danahers Guillotine DVD is the best thing I've watched in my life. I'll take this opportunity to ask you a random question, what do you think about rolling back takes and the truck for MMA?

TeachMeGrappling Coach Brian I came here looking for your comment after seeing your last vedio.
Happy to find it.
I think he could have if he was better but he didn’t! 🤷♂️ They say... If my grandmother had balls she would be my grandfather. Lol
Yes I know the story of the Great Gama. It’s very inspiring. Who knows how much is legend but I’m sure much is real. 🤙
Yes sir!
Sorry for the late reply, I'm not not YT so much, but Thank You, I really appreciate your comment.
This video helped me tap a teammate last night that weighs 85 lbs more than me. Thanks Tristar and Silver Fox!!!
These two have great chemistry together, these videos are absolute GOLD.
Wow I saw the Khabib vs Dustin, I understand the Dustin guillotine failure was because he didn't push the shoulder forward. what an Insight!
I cannot explain how much I appreciate these videos with the Silver Fox. Just a wealth of knowledge. More, please.
The minute detailed GEMS The Fox is dishing are.....priceless. Thanks, Coach Firas and Karel. Awesome stuff.

I really do take for granted the amount of amazing instructionals that are on RUclips
Thanks coach! Used this advice today to help me win a no gi competition!
Thank you, you listened to our comments. I was hoping for guillotine information!
Love this Pravec series. Pure gold. Thanx a lot.
Back at it again with Silver Fox... I'm tuned in!! 👀
Man, ace details, that stuff is gold, into the tool box it goes... Oh Yeah Baby!
Karel is such a good teacher!
I have seen this so many times but each time I can still learn something from it. Amazing stuff Silver Fox.
These videos are truly truly priceless. Thank you for your lessons
Wow, to think that if Porier watched this one video he'd probably be champ right now.
lol
Porier should have known at his level
@@CaseyKCRichards you'd be surprised...

Love the Silver Fox, awesome Firas....
That was f**** dope! Thank you Firas for dropping this gem! No wonder you became so good at BJJ with these kind of people around you
Awesome as alway Karel and Firas, thanks for the knowledge!...Sam✌️

This video is outstanding, thx.
I thought I heard Firas slip up and cus at 39:31 😅 lol... But he said "FOX!" .
Liked already before watching it!
Karel never dissapoints and I´m a Guillotine-fanatic! :D

Thank you for sharing this.
Would love to see a mount escapes video! The side control video was so helpful

Karels small details make a huge difference.
Silver fox and fear-ass make a great combo
It's still just as tight. Mind blown.
Thank you for this! Very generous!
Just gave myself a stripe after watching this one! Good stuff.
28:10 According to John thats a seated kata gatame and not a guillotine! He acually made a very big case on the matter.
Where can that be found? Also what is the English non japanese translation for that position he's claiming it is?
Great details coach. Helps alot. Thanks
Very insightful, I never thought about this position like this.
This is gold!
Living legend
Thanks coach
I got some great info in the past from silver fox and firas on guillotine.. but I was sent back here by "teach me grappling"
mind blown. thank you

Guys I would have paid money for this. (I've got Pravec's Fluid BJJ from Digitsu) In any case, thank you both.

Thanks for the great content! Keep up the great work :)
Just what I was looking for. Thanks
its an honor
Bit hard to see some times, 2 black shirts in moderate lighting. Black eats light.
18:55 is an important detail. Make sure to use the guys momentum
Seated Kata gatame @ 27:50
As a blue belt I can’t finish the Guillotine on the higher belts. I get the position but lose it when they roll into it. Very frustrating
This video should help you tremendously. It did it for me a year ago.

Will you make a pre-fight analyzis of the Khabib vs. Poirier fight?
