    We lost our daughter at age 20. My wife insisted we donate all we could of Jill's body, so others received her eyes, liver, one kidney, some skin. It was surely the right thing to do for us...

    ''Some of my classmates don't mean to say mean things to me, but it just slips out. Everybody has their own way of thinking things.''
    Every adult nowadays needs to hear this. Everyone who's insulted by other peoples rightful opinions, everyone who cares what other people stand for or what their opinions are. Just choose not to care and live your own life. Don't try to fix others, you just can't.
    And this sentence comes out of a childs mouth, if he can think like that, so can adults.

    • @cassandramuller7337
      @cassandramuller7337 5 лет назад +1

      @@karbaona I totally agree. And in a way your child will live on with this young man. They might become a surgeon, or maybe an artist. They might become president. Who knows? But we do know that a part of that child will always be there, where-ever this young man goes. May he do good and may the donor rest in peace. May they also have a smile on his face when they watch from heaven as a part of them goes all the places they never got a chance to. May a part of them be able to share in the journey they made possible.

      Yes, doctors expect that the transplanted hands will grow with Zion. Children’s bones have sections called growth plates, from which new bone tissue is produced until the bones reach adult size. The surgeons were very careful to keep the growth plates intact during his surgical procedure.

    Zion is so mature and well spoken for an 8 year old! That is just crazy. It just goes to show that the people with the hardest lives are the ones who learn to love what they have.

    Huge kudos to the parents of the donor child to give such a life changing gift in the wake of such tragedy. And all the best for little Zion!

    Bless the family that donated the little hands so another child could benefit from that wonderful gift. Oh, how selfless of a gift you gave while in such a unthinkable position you were put into with the death of your loved one, WAY to early in life! Thus, enabling a child to experience something he can't even imagine of having, since he can't remember what he once had, but that which was taken away from him way to early in his life as well.
    Zion, to experience the precious gift of hands, "to swing on the monkey bars".
    The transplant team and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia have to be commended as well, for without them, this probably wouldn't have happened!

    This is breathtaking, My little sister goes to the same school as he does and she would always tell me how they played basketball together and how he had such a positive attitude and how he was so energetic and sweet. Seeing this makes me so happy because it shows how even the smallest and youngest people can have the strongest characters, the brightest smiles, and the best outlook on life!
