I remember seeing on instagram their aunt posting about them being born as conjoined twins. Seeing their mom talk about the upcoming surgery made me worried and I wished the surgery was successful. I remember over 2 years back learning that the surgery would be very difficult and take 24 hours. But then I saw that they were successfully separated. Whenever their aunt or mom posted them, years later, I’m still in awe of these miracle girls. Seperation surgeries like these are probably one of the most complex and difficult surgeries out there, especially cranial separation. When I was in high school one of my teachers actually heard back from these famously separated twins who were separated at the side, now adults. The one who wrote back is now less than 5 feet tall as an adult and has to use a catheter, along with other medical problems but she still became a successful pharmacist. Sadly, I think there's always going to some kind of repricussion with seperation surgery, even with how far we've come in the medical world. Thats how difficult this kind of stuff is.
