Thank you for recognising the talent in Zubac and Bogdanovic. Just imagine Bojan on a contender like Bucks, it'd be a cheat code. Cheers from Croatia :))
As a Lakers fan watching Zubac in his interview right after being drafted, and listening to him just being thrilled to be drafted by his favorite team made me happy. He had game even as a rookie. When Magic traded him to the Clippers for Mike Muscala because the media was roasting him I was sad. Muscala wasn't moving the needle for that team and Zubac was growing and improving.
Magic was giving away young talent left and right, I mean so is Pelinka but at least y’all got AD out of that instead of Muscala
As a NYer, I've watched Bogie evolve and strive as a journeyman. So I'm not surprised.
Most Lakers fans were pissed off that Magic trade Zublock for nothing.
Zubac is a solid player but not someone who is a must-have player or core member.
@@mosstwig3591 I would take Zubac over Kendrink (Give's ya) Nunn, Wenyan Gabriel, Damion Jones, Patrick Beverly, Troy Brown Thomas Bryant. The amount of money that Zubac makes, for what he gives, and that he can score without needing to have plays called for him (HUGE on a team with Lebron James on it) makes him a must have player. If you mean all star level player as "must have" I would disagree. Lebron is a guy that demands being the primary ball handler. That's why Westbrook was a bad trade. More all star level players, who will need the ball in their hands to be effective, isn't what the Lakers need. They need guys like Zubac who can be effective without being a focal point.
Zubac's 31Pts and 29Reb Game was outstanding
Against who?
@@jonasgomesjonasgomes2800 The pacers..
Nice
Pacers are trash
Lakers fans knew Zubac was legit. His defense was solid for a super young guy even back when he was with us. We were pissed when Magic gave him away for absolutely nothing. His blossoming offensive game is awesome to see. Makes me annoyed he's doing it on the Clippers. They got a huge steal. Thanks Magic.
Yeah, I’m still not sure what Magic was thinking trading Zublock (or Svi Mycyluke for that matter).
AllFacts.
Jokic, Ayton, Vuce and Jonas absolutely torch Zubacs tho everytime
Man, seeing Zubac improving so much, I would question why Lakers traded for...Mike Muscala. I saw his potential in the paint, and had room to grow, guess they weren't patient enough.
You mean Lebald wasn't patient enough! He shipped all the young talent and future of the Lakers for an (*) of a ring. 🙄
@@set4life30 magic made the decision to trade zubac, not lebald
the talent pool in the league is insane right now. this is without question the most talented era in basketball
Disagree. Everybody seems so “talented” but that’s not the case. This is an era where nobody plays defense and if you play STRONG defense the refs calls a foul. That’s why everybody seems so “talented”
@@rubaethosman1350 man I hear you, it's really hard to judge sometimes, because you really can't tell if the league is just way more talented, or is it simply nobody plays defense anymore so everyone stats are kind of loaded?
@@rubaethosman1350 you feel that way cause you're an old head blinded by nostalgia these guy's making it seems like defense is non existent cause how much better the skill level is compare to 30 years ago
It's harder to defend now because you don't have the entire team clogging the paint. Everybody shooting 3s means the defense is stretched out
@@rubaethosman1350 you’re a man still living in the past. Move on it’s 2023.
Someone that isn’t on this list that I think should be considered would be Kyle Kuzma. Kyle’s improved immensely since coming to Washington, and as a Wizards fan I know none of our players ever get much recognition other than Beal. He’s gone from a role player/bench player in LA to becoming arguably the 2nd option for the Wizards with improved stats all around.
You could say that but the problem is that Kuzma was meant to be a star in LA but fell off and then became a role player. He hasn’t improved any of his weaknesses and is still the same player but just in a bigger role like back in his sophomore season. He still doesn’t play defence and is very inconsistent when playing. He could give you 30 points one night and 11 the next
2nd option? Sounds like you forgot about Porzingis
Kuzma is putting up empty stats just like the beginning of his career. AG on the other hand should be on here.
Man this season is definitely very intriguing and yeah there’s a lot of “low key” players who are contending with teams who don’t get much deserved because of teams like Detroit and Utah
I just love your channel and love the fact you picked Bogdanovic, I have been saying that for years.
Zubac and poetl were my last 2 picks in our fantasy draft. Both are 🔥
Definitely Jerami Grant is absolutely so low key and with him playing with Damian Lillard , that is just so high class
I respect Bojan, very skilled on offense with his jumpshot, not that athletic, but I'm sure he hustles on defense a lot and a solid role player
All right another amazing and dope Andy Hoops Saturday video YESSIR
It probably also helps a small bit that Jerami is literally home now too. Being brought home to the place you grew up and thus call home has got to be a boon for a guy's confidence and game, especially when you have the entire fan base showing you that love and hype that you're really home where you belong. The fact we have both Drew and Jerami is so cool to me, two guys from right here at home playing for our hometown team is just something so incredible. Would be I think especially fun to see Isiah Hartenstien end up here too if only for that reason. Maybe even yank Kevin Love over for the hell of it for his final few years would be something special to have those four hometown guys all here at home.
And yes, I know where each guy grew up/was born, and that only Jerami is from Portland proper for the picky folks in the comments. Drew is from Troutdale, Isiah from Eugene and KLove from Lake O. The point is, your from here because it's your hometown team, and the Blazers are the hometown team of the entire state, so I believe it's fair to consider them all from "here at home".
Loonie Walker in the lakers? No one expected him to be averaging 17+ on insane 3pt shooting and helping his team turn it around
Let them turn around first dude turn around to what exactly after 10-20 games they ll see where they at
@@j.l.howlett6843 well considering they were 0-5 then 2-10 they have picked up the pace and loonie has been a massive reason why behind AD
Another great Andy video!! Thanks!!!
Agreed my boy
Grant crossing up Zion and dunking two handed over two defenders is high key one of the best in game dunks I've ever seen. Welcome back Jerami!
What do you guys think of the mid season tournament?? I think it’s stupid and this isn’t champions league!!
Very stupid and it’s fucking pointless to have it during the season also
Adam silver is a jackass
Yeah. I definitely agree with you on this one.
Ya it waters down the finals .. even the play in tournament is stretching it
If they want to make regular season games more meaningful just shorten the schedule
In my opinion Grayson Allen is a lowkey powerhouse in my book, he’s improving every year and he follows his role well. The man just made a record for the Bucks shooting 7/7 3 pointers in a half, give the guy some recognition 😅🤷🏽♂️
I think you’re right, the problem with people and their opinion on Grayson is they still see him as a dirty play style, same as his days in duke and not for what he actually brings to the table for the bucks.
@@GoobHak Exactly.. 🤦🏽♂️
Buddy I’m sorry but u supporting Grayson Allen is not a good thing
The time every other team in the league feared for so long is finally here…..Prime Zubac 🔥🔥
3:04 that Poeltl bucket was nasty as fuck!!!!!!
Us Clippers fans and even the Lakers fans are the only ones that truly know how good Zubac is. He's capable of giving you a 20+ point bomb at any point and he's already a walking double double, plus his defense is incredible
Looking at the Spencer Dinwiddie section, the roster of Dallas right now reminds me a lot of that 09 cavs where it was just Mo williams and Lebron leading the way. Pretty sure Mark Cuban is aware of what he has right now, on my personal opinion, Dallas is a few key pieces away from a potential Dynasty. What you guys think?
Pieces away from being a contender.
Hard to see any team being a dynasty in this day and age. Even with the warriors, ego and injury stopped them after 5 seasons.
09 Cavs were stacked. Besides LeBum, they had 4 players who were All Stars at one point in their career, and one of them was a x4 DPOY, and they also had a x1 All Defensive player in Varejao, and a 40% career 3pt shooter in Gibson, and a decent all around combo guard in West. None of Luka's teammates was ever selected an All Star, All NBA or All Defense team.
@@KB-qk1ic this modern day NBA is now shifting back to the one superstar driven franchise again rather than the superteams. Luka is one of those generational talents where nothing less of a championship will hurt his legacy from day 1. He n the mavs could really get there to be honest. They got a team full of trade packages
@@danacdgo besides ben wallace, bron made the others better. Wouldnt say stacked. If they were stacked then Bron's departure shouldnt have deteriorated their play
@@danacdgo bro you’re a troll. Was the nets with kd harden kyrie Blake Aldridge the greatest team of all time then? 5 all stars two mvps
Bojan is underrated, one of the best roles players in the NBA. I'm mad at lakers too when they released Zubac.
Glad to see someone else realize bojan's greatness, dude was a powerhouse during his first year with the jazz! Even hit a game winner on my birthday
I really hate how people constantly look past Valanciunas
Finally the best video ever released
As a Jazz fan, Bogey was the one guy I didn't want to see go (I knew Mitchell and Gobert were gone).
Fortunately Markannen has that efficient scorer role down it seems, but when Bogey was traded I was like "That's it, we're tanking..."
Pacers are so good this year. Their guys have been BALLING
I've been tryna get Bogdonavic on my fantasy team for weeks.
No Steven Adams mention? Literally a generational rebounding talent, best screen assister in the league, also leads in defensive rating. That man does not get anywhere near enough credit or fanfare.
Bogdonavic been balling for years. He’s exactly what the Lakers, Warriors, Bucks,Nets, and Grizzlies need
Milwaukee Boston and Golden State Memphis will be excellent playoff series!!
Looooove this video!!! None of these guys get talked about enough
As a blazers fan I feel we'll get put of slump with how well grant is playing. For about 3 years I've wanted this dude on our team and I'm not disappointed
Down Eubanks (who has actually been huge for us), Dame AND GP3 I think we will be fine
This team rides and dies with Dame.
Ben Gordon wins 6moty while been a rook... But yeah ROY and 6moty Will be incredible
Never forgiving Magic for trading Zu. The fans loved him and he loved being a Laker. Literally hoped to get passed on to land with the Lakers at draft night. He’s not a star but he’s such a solid center.
Wasn't trading Zu part of what got you AD in the end?
@@alltaken21 Nope, he was supposed to be one of the trade pieces but Dale Demps denied the trade for Zu, BI, Kyle Kuzma, Zo and future pics. So Magic just traded him for Mike Muscala because he could shoot 3's but later let him move on from the team during the free agency period.
@@pccjmdg5259 damn that's bad
Zubac is low-key holding the clippers together while Kawhi & PG r out! They r going to be scary when those two get back!!!
If its lowkey then Lauri Markkanen should be up there.
Terance Mann I think gets overlooked because of how deep the clippers are but he is still a crucial part to the team
Appreciate this vid to now being able pick low key props on my tickets here & there ha 🙌
Ivica Zubac had a monster game last week, 31 PTS 29 RBS
3:02 that's the best play I've ever seen!😃😃
Cuban should have signed or traded for Grant during the off-season. Instead, he got Christian Wood, who is unfortunately not a good fit for the Mavs.
He could've gone for both.
I don't think the Mavs would have been able to get Grant since Grant specifically asked to be traded to the Blazers to play with Dame.
alperen sengun is so good
I can agree. Just give him a couple more years to be on this list cause he has so much more room to grow
I feel like Russ off the bench deserves a mention at least because despite he already past his prime and no longer the same player we know he was still flourishing in his new role of sixth man.
Either way, most of these guys were really good choice for this video.
He's overpaid and turnover prone.
@@euroteknique12 yes he is but playing of the bench minimizes that and he' s damn hell flourishing
@arshyakhalfaniputrawibowo4440 He's not worth half of what he's making and his turnovers hurt the team more than he helps. Any 6th man can give his production for a quarter of what he makes.
I feel like JB MUST be in that list. He plays at All NBA level but probably won't even be selected to the all Star game
Jaylen Brown is not lowkey. He always gets talked about because everyone wants to hate on Tatum.
Zubac just added himself to the "players the Lakers gave up on too fast" list
He's been on that list for a while.
Fox from the Kings, always a tough player.
Big dude from the Rockets
Malcolm with the Celtics
And of course AJ Brown with the Eagles
Ty is a TOP 5 PG?! LMFAOOOOO dude is an assist machine but tf kind of statement is that what has he done to earn such a title 🤣
He has improved the Pacers tremendously and has made himself and all of his teammates better. His jumper has been getting better every year and he looks so smooth with the ball. My top 5 PG’s are 1. Luka 2. Curry 3. Morant. 4. Young. 5. Haliburton
@@nadiA-em6uh Top 5 is definitely a stretch, and I don't think he's better than De'Aaron Fox. But he's DEFINITELY very good and deserves recognition. That being said, Mathurin is one of the main reasons why his assist average is so high.
i was looking for this comment. what a outlandish take. lost a lot of respect for him
Kevin Porter jr is really underrated right now. When you hear about the rockets young guys, all you hear is Jalen Green and Jabari Smith jr, but he’s been rock solid and looks like a future all star
Maybe who knows tho
19-5-5 on 41% (ain’t shot over 42% since his rookie year) ain’t a future all star unless he levels up like two or three more times
@@alexescutia4805 it’s definitely possible. He’s still young can’t wait to see
@@isozopiano doubt it he’s a guard and that position way too stacked
My Dad started to dislike the Clippers beginning around 2014 and even though all of the players during the Blake Griffin era are gone, he still does not like them with the exception of one player. Iva Zubac. My dad always says the Lakers should've kept him. He definitely needs more recognition as he is the Clippers' secret weapon.
Thank you so much for giving the pacers some attention. I'm a pacers fan and we always get disrespected when given attention. Never praise. Thanks so much
Jerami Grant will be an all-star this year. I hope.
These guys in the list gonna be superstars down the line
Maybe he’s not there just yet, but keep an eye on Lonnie Walker!!!
One thing I’ve noticed is that there’s many Eastern Europeans on this video.
Mathurin is anything but low key man, guy doesn't speak much but every youtuber media is talking about him
No they're not. It's always "Paolo, Paolo, Paolo."
Jaylen Brown next video Andy Hoops 🙏🙏🙏
Bennedict Mathurin 6th Man of the Year & ROTY this season 🔥🔥🔥
Can you make a video about tyresse? I think its gonna be interisting
Great show. Next year Lamar Stevens will be on this list.
Who?
I've always been a fan of Bogdan B, and a few years ago when he was a free agent, I was hoping & praying that my hometown Sixers would sign him. They didn't and he torched them in the playoffs.
Mathurin is winning ROY
I think Isaiah Stewart, Jonas Valanciunas or Norman Powell should be on the list too
As a blazers fan I’ve been wanting Potel for a couple years. Nurk can be embarrassing as a defender
I loved zubac when he was in lakers uniform. I knew he was going to be good, disappointing that he didn't got enough playing time even tho he deserved it.
If the Clippers ever get their full roster healthy and playing well, they're so loaded it's scary. The Blazers are also stacked with Grant, Simons, and Nurk around Dame, no more excuses for Lillard.
If you ask me, Bennedict Mathurin is far and away the ROTY right now. And until the Magic get more wins with Paolo than they have without him, I'm not inclined to even CONSIDER otherwise.
Being drafted #1 means you're going to the worst team in the league...obviously the Magic aren't gonna be winning many games anytime soon. I think it's odd to knock Paolo for that,he's doing his job...he can't do it alone.
@@IamJdTrent Only he's not doing it alone? Franz Wagner has been playing great basketball all season, AND he's actually out there playing winning basketball. Like I said, the Magic are literally 3-4 without Banchero and 2-14 with him.
Also, the Pacers only won 3 more games than the Magic last season. NEXT.
@@guesswhonot1620 roy never had shit to do with wins lmao don’t be biased
@@alexescutia4805 I'm not biased though? I'm literally speaking the facts. Just look at last year's race bruh.
@@guesswhonot1620 man paolos probably winning it matheurin been in a slump anyway
Can you do a video for Bill Cartwright because nobody talks about him(I think) despite scoring 20+ points for some seasons as a big man
I know I know you all will call me crazy. But i think Tobias Harris got a bit underrated bc of his huge contract. He gets too much money but he sure is dominating for being the 4th option if everyone is healthy
Used to watch grant at okc, he’s always had it in him
Same. His athleticism and the way he played as a role player showed star potential and his defence has been getting better and better. I love to see him succeed and hopefully Portland will also
Man I thought this vid was about silent but deadly farts 😢
Grant has been putting on a show
Jerami Grant suddenly became Khris Middleton.
😂😂😂
I think zubac could easily average a efficient 20 maybe a bit more if given the touches
Magic Johnson and Pelinka were completely clueless and didn’t know what a good player Zubac was going to be, when they gave him away to the Clippers for nothing.
I feel as if Kyle Kuzma should be considered because of elite scoring and great rebounding.
That was a wild statement about Zubac is the only young guy on the team with space to grow. super ridiculously wrong.
I thought OG would be on here ngl
Dorian finney-smith , shake milton, Melton, Kevin porter, lauri mark,
3:03 I blinked and thought that was the meanest ball fake in history
10:30 lol zion realizing that he can't stop everyone all the time from scoring lol
Isn't it fun just watching second round picks blossom on a team?
i think if you are going to mention Jerami Grant from Portland you also need to talk about Anfernee Simons, he is averaging 24 points and 5 assists and has occassional games like the one last night when he went off for 45 and shoots ridiculously efficient from 3.
Grant is always efficient even before he was so underrated
Where do you come up with these videos brody.
Zubac had just evolved into Golbac
Jerami grant levels up everytime he goes to a different team
0nly if kevin huerter was more consistent ..He niceeeee fr and could definitely be on this list
Yuta watanabe
the most underrated player in the league right now is SGA. 🔥🔥🔥
Nurkic and Valanciunas
Can you do lakers man doing great past 9 games winning 7 of 9 games
Zubac and Poeltl are same level as Gobert
I hate Magic Johnson for trading Zubac for absolutely nothing
It blows my mind how more teams werent making an attempt to get Bogdanovic. How do you, as a contending team's gm allow someone like him to end up at Detroit? No offence Pistons but someone of his talents would make any contending team instantly much better tbh. Not to mention his age doesnt even fit with the Pistons timeline. Any team that is looking to win now shouldve made a play to get him
kawhi leonard in his prime
I won a lot of bets last year betting on zubac over points 1st half and 2nd half 💰💰
I’m not even a pacers fan but I bought a mathurin jersey a few days ago
